Amazingly...

I watched it all unfold on television.  I "just happened" to get up early that morning (I was on Pacific Time so it was before 6 AM) and watched it on TV.  I exercised and got ready for work with the TV volume turned way up so I could listen.

When I drove to work, I listened on the radio.  I was driving and listening and I happened to look at my speedometer.  I was going 50 MPH.  But so was everyone else.  EVERYONE was going 50 mph on a main freeway in LOS ANGELES.  Without any traffic so to speak.  I usually would be doing 70 or 80 w/o traffic.  But we were all going 50.  All listening (I'm sure of it) to the radio, trying to make some sense of it all.

Five years later.....there is still no sense to it.

God Bless the survivors, the families, the country.

My daughter recently moved to Jersey City.  She says everyone she meets and talks to mentions the Twin Towers. Some still cry when they mention it.  Her landlord pointed to a spot in the sky where, he said, you used to be able to see the Twin Towers...and his wife started crying.
