the rate is going down. Unions fought to keep scabs out of union jobs for just this reason. When people are desperate enough, they will work for whatever money they can get. In the short term, they get paid. In the long term, everyone suffers. When you add your approval to this practice by posting as you did, you participate in handing the reins over to the employer, and we all suffer.
The market would tighten up if we did not apply for jobs/contracts that offered such insulting line rates.
