But this article states it would only affect new customers right now. So I am upset over nothing. I went through heck with BellSouth when they charged me a surcharge of an extra 50 a month and then would write a letter saying I had to switch to a long distance service and pay by the minute because of my "excessive" use. They told me the unlimited charge was for an average of an hour a day not somebody who worked out of their home and I needed to switch a business plan at over 200 a month charge. I switched over to cable because of that and then to read that cable was going to charging on a per use fee and not a flat monthly fee it upset me. It is the nature of our work, VR, only paying for VBC, having headers and footers taken away, now being charged for being on line, etc. It just seems that everything is done to keep to insure less money.

Over the last month every once in a while I just don't receive an email that someone sends. Have used yahoo mail for years, never had this problem. Guess I'll switch to another mail program.
Yahoo e-mail has a calendar that will send reminders
I have been using this for a while and love it. It will send as many reminders in a day as I want. I can even set it to send a reminder the day before and again the same day.

I have been trying all morning and kept getting a message that the website no longer existed. I was beginning to have withdrawal symptoms! Thank goodness it's still here.

Mine came in the mail today...
a $100 gift card. Very generous in my opinion, especially since I only work about 10 hours a week. My MTSO rocks! Wish I could share the name and give them some recognition, but that always seems to come back to bite people on this board.
Today's e-mail is just icing on the cake!
Okay . . . so I am just venting about my QA, but to all people doing QA I don't think everyone is like this, I just can't use names, so I am stuck somewhat generalizing. Sorry. Please don't take offense, I don't mean all QA people just a couple I have dealt with lately.
A few weeks ago, I got blamed for something QA changed on my report. They got it wrong, not me. I blanked it and QA guessed wrong. Very frustrating.

Accessing hotmail
I think it must be a server thing or the number of ppl accessing. I have a hotmail account and I could not get there today, no matter what I did. and I have IE7 also. I went through Windows Live Messenger. I even googled and tried to get in that way and all my other sneaky ways to get around problems. As you can see, I finally got through. You just have to be one step ahead of them i guess. Try some of your Windows Live programs, that is what I do and did. Good luck.
Will you be accessing the voice files via a Cphone, too?

over the past 2 days. At one point, I accessed a page that said this website was totally gone. Today is the first day I've been able to pull the site back up. The same thing happened last week for a few days as well. ??

Request that they place a stop payment on the check, reissue, and mail priority or overnight mail
If they refuse or invent unbelievable excuses, you'll know you have a problem. If MY check was a week late, there are many months I would be in deep trouble.
I realize checks occasionally do get lost in the mail. If they are 100% sure it was mailed, then they shouldn't mind issuing another.
Be firm and be persistent.

Depending on the distance you can get them anywhere from 3-8 days later. Right now one takes 3 days, the other 3-5.
Don't be afraid to do direct deposit. Your company has no way of accessing your account
I've used direct deposit from the first time it was offered with MRC over 10+ years ago. I've never had a problem.
Has anyone tried accessing your own home computer from a laptop remotely with PC Anywhere or similar
I'm wondering if this is possible instead of having to install everything on my laptop to work remotely. It would be nice if I could hook up to my home PC with my laptop and am wondering if there is a program that would allow me to do so or do I have to re-install everything on my laptop to work remotely.
I have auto corrects, medical spell check, medical dictionary, etc., that I would need on both computers.

Block her E-mail, return mail unopened
On AOL I can determine who I want to receive mail from and block those I do not -- and if they are blocked they get their E-mail back as being "undeliverable". If she sends things out -- send back --unaccepted. But to be simple just E-mail her back or call the recuriter if you don't want to deal with her directly and state -- leave me alone. If she is in another state you should not be scared of her but you may simply have to put it out there in no uncertain terms.

my ShortHand would type only the first letter of an expansion and then take all the letters away! I checked and the Type It button is grayed out! listen up everybody. something really weird is going on. clicked internet icon and got the download box, happened a couple of times and then, no internet. whatever, don't open box.called cable guy, he said to unplug modem, few minutes, then plug in again. said he has had alot of this lately. people don't have anything better to do than to mess up a computer?

Am I the only person who thinks Obama is absolutely ignorant for making all records electronic? If you go to yahoo and look up the time.com piece, EMR is NOT a smart thing to do. Honestly, is a computer going to fix it when the doctor dictates the wrong dosage of the drug, or during an op note if the doc dictates the wrong appendage, will it fix that? Obama thinks that it will improve the system. I say it is fine as is, and we wouldn't be needing to do this if SO many people weren't outsourcing OUR WORK to India. That sure as heck isn't helping the economy!! But neither are the doctors that dictate with their head in their rear.

I pay my taxes at the end of the year also. I take 30% of each of my paychecks and place it in a savings account each pay period. At the end of the year, what I owe comes out if needed and the rest stays in there.
