I am sorry for you - I have been through the same thing. I lost my house last year, thought I was finally back on my feet, and now I am having to downsize once again.

You should have plenty of time left before anything happens. My neighbors have been in their house for a year without payment so far, my other neighbors 7 months! The banks are not really wanting these houses back. Will they not work with you in some way to lower your payments or something?
