I would ship it back COD. Then you held up to your part of the bargin - you sent it back. It is not your responsibility to pay for the return of their equipment.

On the other hand, if you can send it back via snail mail (book rate or lower) and it is worth the cost to get rid of it and get your paycheck, then go for it and say good riddance.
