EMR

I didn't lose my job to EMR but I saw the writing on the wall, going to voice recognition and getting rid of the "older" long-term employees (30+ years).

I finally made up my mind to get out of transcription altogether. It is a dying occupation and within the next 10-20 years it will be a "dead horse." The pay is terrible so why beat yourself up over a job that doesn't pay and companies could care less about benefits, pay, etc. I agree with the other poster, might as well work at Wal-Mart. At least then you MIGHT get paid and get benefits!
