people on the forum are understanding things here.  I do not need to be off permanently, I just need to be off at least part-time for another month.  This is what my doctor originally wanted me to do.  I think the other FMLA lady should go out on permanent disability because she is off all the time.  I never called off until my surgery.  I had over 6 weeks of PTO time to take towards the surgery and recovery.  All I am asking my place of employment is a little empathy here and let me work 4 hours a night for another month.  By then my foot should be feeling a lot better and not get so swollen.
