he will pee in the potty for you all day long, but when it comes to pooping, he absolutely refuses to go on the potty.  If I put pullups on him, he will start peeing in them instead of telling me he has to go.  If I put underwear on him, he will poop in them and not tell me.    Needless to say, it's a terrible mess.  I really don't know what to do.    My sister-in-law, who has six children, said to let him decide when he could try to poop on the potty, but will that happen?  I have tried encouraging him with the "big boy" talk and he has an older brother who is six that he knows goes, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.  He doesn't act like he is uncomfortable with it in his pants.  In fact, I have to "discover" he has done it.  I have told him to tell me and I would put a pullup on him so he wouldn't mess his underwear, but he doesn't even do that.  Offering rewards doesn't seem to be incentive enough and I really don't want to punish him and have him attach a negative feeling about it.  Any suggestions?
