I have a granddaughter who is a 3 1/2 year old too with the same problem. When she is at day care she goes fine, no problem. When she comes home or to my house she wants her diaper on immediately. It is pretty much a battle of wills at this point. She will sit on the chair when she wants to. We let her win this one for now. I'm pretty sure she will be potty trained by the time she gets in kindergarten.
