What we said was that healthy, able-bodied people should not have been standing in line the very next day after the storm looking for ice, water, and food, and complaining about the lack of help. They should have had at least three days' worth of supplies on hand. The government resources that were going to help the people who CHOSE not to prepare COULD have gone to those people who really needed it and assisting in cleanup. There's a HUGE difference in elderly people going 14 days and running out of provisions versus young, healthy, able-bodied people going ONE DAY. THAT was the gist of the discussion. It wasn't a slam against those who truly need the help, just being annoyed with those who can help themselves but refuse to do so.
