been deceived.  You have been deceived.  You are certainly free to notify whomever you'd like, but do not be surprised if you do not achieve the results you expected.

Do they offer anything besides VA facilities now? nm

99% of time, what facilities want has nothing to
x
There will always be those niche facilities who want quality
p
Dont agree. I think there will always be those facilities/Drs
uio
We are not talking about naming facilities that
x
Maybe facilities use to dealing with employees
x
Maybe doctors don't, but most acute care facilities do.

By 2012, the Bush Admin wants all facilities EMR.
This won't happen, but it is the goal. Some doctors will still use transcriptionists to enter the info, but I'm guessing the job description will be changed to Medical Data Entry Person, not require any special skills, and be minimum wage--not that I'm pessimistic or anything.

Some will do it themselves, and some will resist until the very end and beyond, but these guys are probably still hand writing their notes, so that doesn't help us. lol!
Wow, I didn't know that. Both local docs/facilities and (m)
nationals that I work for have never asked about schooling. So IOW, if you don't have the experience, some may hired based on the education? I've only ever known of companies to hire if you have X amount of experience and they didn't care about your education. Good to know. I was wondering how to steer this friend, but looks like maybe she's doing the right thing going with CS?
Bucks stop at facilities who pay for MT service.

Oncology and some specialty AIDS facilities can be TOUGH.

I have an idea...we can picket those facilities who use companies that offshore. sm
Every patient going in and coming out of that hospital/facility will know their private medical record is going offshore to be transcribed and therefore, there is risk of identity theft, lack of privacy, etc Just like those for ProLife and the like.

I think that will bring attention to the matter!

I know a huge hospital system in my town outsources their TX to MQ, who is now CBay, and now everything will be offshore. I think I will make my point and concerns when I have picket signs outside the President's window in a public area, so as not to be trespassing.

Free Speech in America.....right!!!
the facilities are supposed to "self report" violations -
when I worked inhouse it was explained to us that we were supposed to "self report" to the powers when we did something wrong and would then be fined for it. Who in the heck is going to do that?
Nursing homes/care facilities aren't all they are cracked up to be (sm)
I have a sibling who just lost their spouse. Every time the spouse was in the nursing home, they became ill to the point of needing hospitalization. Dehydration? They weren't giving the poor thing fluids!!! Kidneys shut down and then they died.

I think I'd rather die before being put into a nursing home and I think I will add that to my advanced directives living will.
AMs should not pass on info from facilities only makes that mt more nervous and more prone to errors
