I went with my dad for his appointment at the local VA hospital two days ago, and his physician was inputting everything into the EMR as he talked to and examined my dad. I wanted SOOOOO badly to ask him how he felt, having to input all of this information himself (which was obviously distracting and making the appointment take longer than it should have), rather than having a trusty, qualified MT department so he could simply dictate a report and have it transcribed.

Because he was going over several issues with my dad, I decided against engaging him in MT-related conversation, but I'd still love to know the clinicians view on having to do this.

Anyone have any first-hand feedback from clinicians having to do this?
