I do know that one large clinic in our town has EMR. They take it into the room and enter what they choose. One doctor who is not in that clinic said he does not like it because when he receives a patient's records, it does not give the information he wants, but mainly the diagnosis. I think eventually they will see it is a mistake, but may be too late for many of us. The day I visited, I asked the doctor how he liked it and he said great. Then he could not get the information he wanted and it had to be charged, so the prescription had to be written out by hand. So much for GREAT.
