Would you take this job?

State has opening for MT at a hospital three hours away from me.  I am 48 and been at this since 19.  It is my only skill.  Am wondering if I should make some sacrifices for this 29,000/yr job (relocating to a small town and selling my home) to ensure I have a future with an income and benefits.  Am working two jobs now, one with national and IC for a clinic which is EMR and templates (they are slashing my income as I type this every way they can).

The hospital is a prison hospital for sexually violent predators.  The location is in the middle of nowhere.  But, is for state of California and have taken tour of facility (brand new) and it has state of the art equipment and the people there seem very professional.

What would you do if you were me?  Thanks.  I dread making a mistake at this point in my life and have no one to talk to about this who understands what is happening in our field.
