You don't need to act on your impulses

I am a divorced female and have lived alone for many years. Yes, I get lonely and would enjoy male companionship and sex, too, but that does not mean that I have to go out to the bars and pick up somebody. I have higher standards than that. You DO have choices-- you can be a homosexual but you do NOT have to act on your impulses. There is such a thing as self-control. If you wanted a lot of money, would you go out and rob a bank or would you control yourself knowing that it is wrong and not do it? People make all kinds of excuses for their behavior and just because you are attracted to men does not mean you have to act on it.

So does this mean you have to act on your impulses?
What I you were attracted to sheep, goats, and who knows what-- does that mean you have to act on it? People do NOT require sex to survive, so why do you just not act on your impulses? There IS such a thing as self-control. Too many people react on the idea that-- if it feels good, do it-- whether it is right or wrong. That's why society is in the mess it is in today.
