I do have to agree with you on various points.  Dr. Laura is not a saint, and I disagree with a lot that she says.  I also agree that not everyone is as lucky as I am and that I did not plan for it this way, I was just very lucky and I will definitely admit that.  I just don't see why, IF GIVEN A CHOICE, you would chose to put your kids in daycare.  I totally understand that some do not have a choice.  But young and naieve?  I don't think so.  I am the oldest 25-year-old that I know.

On the other hand, for your information, my husband is actually resigning from his job in 2 weeks.  He is a branch manager for Trugreen Chemlawn.  He makes $65,000 a year.  He has worked there for 6 years and climbed the corporate ladder.  He has missed out on many, many things that my children do.  He doesn't want to miss another second.  What will we do, you ask?  My oldest will be starting school.  My youngest will stay home with him.  I will get up at 5 a.m., work until 7:30, go with my husband to take my daughter to school (by the way, I also don't like busses to school).  I will then come home, work until 1 p.m.  Eat lunch with my wonderful husband and 2-year-old.  Back to work at 2 until 4, which is when 2-year-old usually naps.  After that, we will eat dinner together and go do something fun.  If I work 8 hours a day, I will make approximately $80,000 a year, which is more than plenty for us to live on.

I am not bragging, God has blessed me with all of this, but I also made some choices, sacrifices and luckily chose a great man or, a great man chose me.

Yes, I will miss out on a few hours of my 2-year-olds day (I will be in the next room over).  But, it is my husbands chance to see what the best job in the world feels like.
