I just did not want to be accused of being contradictory -
The other Amanda says she is a relatively new Transcriptionist and I have been doing this for 18 years - so if we post opposing thoughts/questions/comments/concerns, I did not want to get blasted for something I did not say.

Not a bad thing - there are always people with the same name - just did not want to have to defend myself one day against something I did not say and hope that the other Amanda will never have to do it either.

Have a great day!!!
Hmm, looking at the candidate guide I see that is contradictory.
The candidate guide states:

"Two years of transcription experience in acute care-type setting or equivalent experience in a multispecialty
environment are required to take the CMT certification examination."

What I want to know is how they check? What do they consider equivalent experience? At any rate, I think the wording a bit ambiguous. An organization that deals with languages specialists should be able to do better. JMHO.
