A lie is a lie

Sugar coat it anyway you want. He lied about taxing the rich. He never intended to tax them in the first place. He must have studied Clinton's campaign strategies a lot because like Clinton he told the people exactly what they wanted to hear (he pulled the ol "I feel your pain" routine), and duped them into believing him. Second off why in the world would you believe he's going to give tax breaks to the middle class families. That is a total fabrication and I cannot find that anywhere. Just not true.

He lied about the troops. Of course everyone knows they need to be withdrawn safely, but that is not what he said in his campaign. He said within 30-60 days (or thereabouts) he would start bringing home the troops. Now he's saying they'll be there at least five more years (not to mention all the other countries he has plans for our troops to be shipped to). Like I say sugar coat it anyway you want. A lie is still a lie.

I'm just glad I didn't drink the cool-aid and buy into it.

A FEW OBAMA BROKEN PROMISES.
RESULTS ARE IN PARENTHESIS.

"I will Get troops out of Iraq."
(Ain't gonna happen til 2011 and under an agreement signed off on by GWB.)

"I will tax the rich."
(Well. Maybe not yet. We need them to prosper so we can tax them later.)

"I will bring change to Washington."
(His entire cabinet used to work bor president-erect Clinton.)

"I will not have lobbyists in my administration."
(At least 15 of his new staff members are lobbyists.)

"I believe in public education."
("For your kids. Not for mine.")

For more of his lies, go here - there are at least 61 of them (but then again I don't expect many will want to).

Unfortunately I'm live in the real world here (not la-la land) and have responsibilities and that is why it upsets me that people buy into the lies of this newly elect Kenyan President to be.
