(collectively speaking, of course) buy foreign cars? Just as you stated in your post above, US car companies did not get on the stick to develop and manufacture a decent economical American made auto. They fed this country's desire for bigger and better, faster and fancier to the point that we are now overstuffed with gas-guzzling, fume-emitting, ozone-burning monsters that are gobbling up the available oil supplies at an alarming rate.
