Sage wisdom

I personally like dandelion greens, wild onions, polk sallat and lots of other wild greens, nuts, berries, pawpaws, wild grapes, wild mushrooms,  etc. etc.  We'll be fine for awhile.

If you're a "bible kook" count me right there with you.  If one needs any more proof, just read the book.  Written 2000 years ago, if it isn't true, how could it so accurately predict exactly what is happening?  Like the time will come when a person will work all day long just for food for a single day.  I don't see that being very far in the future.    IMHO wise people are turning to the Bible for instructions.  THAT is the only hope we really have.

Please enlighten me with your wisdom.

How do you handle this then?  Terrorists who want us dead and will do anything to accomplish that.  How do you deal with them?  What is the source?  Do we all convert to their religion?  What?  I'm curious as to what your solution is for this mess.

I still would like to see Obama go after the CEOs of these big  corporations and banks the pocketed loads of money and walked away from a failing business.  Why aren't they being investigated and tried for what they have done?  Instead of we going after the past administration even though dems knew what was going on.

As for your information about Mohammed giving info until the harsh interrogations.....there are two sides to this story and until everything is released and looked into, all you go by is what MSNBC says and the rest of us go by facts.

Nancy Pelosi and other dems were brief on these interrogations and they did NOTHING.  The government has only allowed part of the information to be unclassified.  There is still other information out there that they have not brought to light and seem to be not wanting to bring to light.  Wonder why....hmmmm.

The reason behind terrorist attacks is because they are Muslim extremists who believe their religion has called them to rid the world of people who aren't Muslim.  No tea and cookies and friendly talks is EVER going to change that.

Yes...please give him some wisdom!

I can't disagree on that one.

More wisdom in his right hand than the whole
.
This pearl of wisdom is brought to you by
someone who proved herself ridiculous 500 posts ago....
experience versus wisdom

to change the downward course of the nation.  Haven't you been listening?

Humor? Wisdom? To be called a
"babe," "skirt" is humorous?  Wisdom????  Where is the so-called wisdom in that sexist remark?  But of course Lush will get away with it.... he's too valuable to the pubnuts!!  Disgraceful is what it is!!!!
Your disrespect for the wisdom of elders
Might try reading up on the brilliant genius that IS Lee Iacocca. Take a look at his photo...84 and looks 20 years younger. Sharp as a tack, as demonstrated by the level of expertise and thorough analysis expressed in the piece he wrote. The smartest thing he said, in essence, was "Dude, where's my country?"

In any cas, your petty, drive-by sound byte is a mere reflection of the same bankrupt leadership he decries, prime example being the tanking McSame.

BTW, here's a few other millionaires who endorse Obama, every single one of the former pubs:
1. Warren Buffet
2. Colon Powell
3. Susan Eisenhower
4. Julie Nixon Eisenhower
5. Senator Lincoln Chafe
6. Gov Linwood Holton (VA)
7. Mayor Richard Riordan (LA CA)
8. Bill Ruckelhaus
9. Douglas Kmiec
10. (Former) Mayor Ed Koch (NY)
11. Ken Adelman
12. General Tony McPeak
13. Donald Capoccia
14. Jackson M. Andrews
15. Richard J. Schwartz
16. Todd Garrett,
17. Michael Smercornish
18. Richard B. Stewart
19. Jim Whitaker
20. Ambassador Thomas Graham Jr

Gourdpainter, I really respect your wisdom. s/m

And I, too, have been having trouble sleeping because of this election as well.  I think they call it election burnout.  I guess the whole Rev. Wright thing is somewhat concerning, but I find that the positive things about Barack Obama far outweigh that one thing.  I watched a brilliant interview with him last night by Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.  He addressed so many things:  Foreign policy, Afghanistan, that fact that we desperately need to update our infrastructure in this country, roads, bridges, and especially the power grid, as it is one of our major weaknesses for terrorist attack.  He has a very definite plan for all of these things that I have never heard anyone else address, and I was very impressed.  He made a statement about how the trillion dollar deficit that Bush ran up would not have been so bad had there been something to show for it, if that money had been spent on building up our infrastructure and how China is so far ahead of us on that issue.  That interview was definiately the best one I have seen, and it really gave an excellent glimpse into this man and what he hopes to achieve, and just confirmed for me how right he is for this country.

I am putting this election into God's hands.  What is meant to be will be.  But I am very concerned about the whole election process.  There have already been instances of problems with the machines.  In West Virginia, the machines were flipping votes from Obama to McCain, and I do anticipate lots more problems like that.   It's going to be close either way.

Hang in there, gourdpainter.  Hopefully, we'll both be able to get some sleep when this is all over.

No dear, that would be words of wisdom!!
xx
"The wisdom of the Clinton Presidency..."
ohhhhh to quote reville guffaw guffaw GUFFAW guffaw lol
Wisdom and humor too. A winning combination.
nm
"There you go." A Reagan-esque pearl of wisdom.

Remarkable how a child's viewpoint can often offer wisdom
nm
And George showed SO MUCH experience and wisdom when he first took office, right?????....sm
He got in on Daddy's coat tails and by and large had Daddy's former administration aides and cabinet members calling the shots and try to cover his idiocy. When is everyone coming out of denial about this past administration?
Good thing we have PSYCHIC wisdom on the board
:-(
...even 'more' wisdom to outsmart you envious pubs...nm

You should explain your wisdom to Harold Ford and John Tanner.

These lawmakers obviously have no idea what it truly means.

The way I read it is as nothing more than a badly worded symbolic gesture of no real significance other than to *express the sense of Congress.*

You're entitled to agree with the lone 19 Republicans regarding our troops.

I choose to agree with the vast majority who are *expressing* that they support our troops, particularly Ford and Tanner, whose comments are below.

Ford and Tanner said they strongly support the troops. But they noted that current Iraqi government leaders reportedly are considering granting amnesty to Iraqis who killed U.S. troops as acts of resistance and defense of their homeland. They cannot support a government that would grant such amnesty, Ford and Tanner said in written statements.

Ford, a U.S. Senate candidate, called the Republican resolution a gimmick that fails to recognize that 'stay the course' is not working and that amnesty for terrorists is unforgivable.

Don't agree. We trust God for Wisdom, Strength, and health in our govenment.....sm
BUT that does not mean that there should not be a separation in church/state. We can trust in the Lord and pray for our nation, but is is up to us, as keepers of this nation, to work hard, to strive to appoint the right people, to try to defend the constitution, not just in war, but in peace. By becoming a UNITED nation once again, because we are being destroyed more quickly from within....the terrorist are loving it and will not have to do much to make this nation fall, if we do not use wisdom, discernment, and love, once the whole economy has collapsed and there is more and more crime, chaos, despair, etc., there won't be much the terrorists will have to do for our downfall...and there won't be much to gain from this country, either, if it sinks that low, IMHO
Jon, our voice
Isn't it amazing the length that people that have such closed minds will go to, a matter of loss of control.
another voice from
the "you are on your own party" that the next prez, Barack, talked about in his wonderful acceptance speech.
In the voice of........

Rodney King "why can't we all just get along." Name-calling serves no purpose. Can't we just refer to ourselves as Americans. Can we agree to disagree? I see a bright future. I am sorry your future is so dark and meaningless.

So because you don't like her voice and demeanor? (sm)
You aren't voting for your high school class president, or best personality for your year book. You need to base your decision on facts.
that voice is like a needle in the eye!...

Thank you - the voice of reason (nm)

no, it's not about Voice recognition, it's about
using medical computerized charts and "check boxes" if you will... cutting out the work of the MT by using generic charts and filling in information... at least where i come from
I am all for EMR, just not voice recognition -
EMR is just a way of keeping up with your records and not having all the paper at a bunch of different doctor's office.

Voice recognition on the other hand is what is killing our profession. Of course, the hospital I just left implemented voice recognition the week I left and the feedback from my ex-coworkers so far is that the Transcriptionist hate the system, the doctors hate the system, and they are already thinking about having to change it --- and they actually only bought the initial license for 10 of the 200 doctors to use the voice (and they put the good American doctors in that 10, of course).

I don't think that transcription will totally be replaced by computers in my lifetime at least, but I do think as technology advances, transcription will face even more changes.

We all have to keep in mind that typing these reports is based on an antiquated concept and that as the doctors are getting younger and younger, it means they have grown up using all this new technology that our older doctors did not have and are resistant to.

Like it or not, Obama or not, times are achangin'!
Thanks Dem for the lone sane voice here
Thanks for affirming that the *genocide* comment was was WAYYY off base. There is a difference between you and the far leftists here, and the gap widens between the two on a daily basis.

Ann Coulter is a very vocal (sometimes over vocal) conservative. Many of us don't always agree with her approach or tactics. However, Ann says what she feels, and her free speech is as protected as anyone elses. Now, when Michael Moore says the same things in the same way and in the same style he's lauded here. So, to say that people like Ann are uniquely on the right is completely untruthful.

Ann is out to make money, of course! So is Michael Moore, and to a large extent so are the 9/11 widows. I don't minimize their loss, but I think exploiting their husband's memory for money politics, and 15 minutes of fame is pretty low.

Jewish Voice For Peace
It is Jewish Voice For Peace.Org, not Jewish Voices For Peace as I previously posted.  Sorry.
Another voice in Utah last week.

This is quite long but if you just read the the last lines, the no mores, it will move you. While our **leaders** were out there borrowing rhetoric from WWII and not from the good guys either, the mayor of Salt Lake City had some words of his own to share.

I have not been on the boards much lately because I just don't know what to say. There is so much that is so wrong that I am completely overwhelmed, so much death, so much torture, so much pain, so much greed, so much **depraved indifference***, so much deceit and on and on and on.   I am grateful there are still those who can put words together and produce a piece of coherent outrage. The mayor of Salt Lake is one of them.

Piglet, thank you for your voice of reason
It's very refreshing. Thanks again...
AAMT was supposed to be our voice
in Washington. I finally dropped my membership in disgust at their lack of action. All I saw them do was puff themselves up, making up all sorts of education and standards wish lists that have never been applied to the field which certainly would have helped keep work on shore and our wages more in line with our knowledge and services to the medical community.
More like a voice of scare tactics.
XX
Bravo. A voice of compassion and

wisdom.  Not often seen herewithin.

A voice of reason and balance.

THANK YOU!! Finally, a voice of reason!
My head has been spinning so much over the abc comment about not starting to live until after the fourth month, or whatever it was she said, that I was just too baffled to address this. And then going on in another post about a life is a life when talking about a frog and a ferret . . . apparently totally missing the point of that post.

I believe, however, that a lot of abortions occur because the male involved does not want a child. I am not sticking up, necessarily, for the females who still have this done, but, IMHO, we STILL live in a male-dominated world and that is a huge reason for why this has become legal. I think that oftentimes it is young, scared GIRLS who subject themselves and their fetuses to this, in order to please their "man". I think that in many cases, if the female in question felt that she would have support, either from the father or from her family, she might make a different choice. Not excusing it, just saying . . . IMHO. Heck, I've seen it, and more than once.
The MSM has been a liberal political voice for years
what's the beef about. What does freedom of the press have to do with foreign countries? That argument withstanding the military has published articles for years in foreign newspapers. It happened after WWII and wars previous and subsequent to that, but just because this administration is doing it it's all of the sudden a problem.
Thank you...nice to have a second voice crying out in the wilderness...
just put on your kevlar and come right on in. :)
Do not patronize. Bristol has no real voice here.
She, her baby and her husband be living their private lives out on the alter of sacrifice for the sake of SP, regardless of how the news got out there. It's out now and mom's ambitions played just as much role in this tragedy as any rumor factory you will repeatedly try to use as a scapegoat. No need to beat this dead horse and repeat youself a thousand times tonight. The media will not show restraint and the internet, even less. We will all have our bellies full of this as the convention grinds on. One thing is certain, Palin just rained on her own parade.
I cannot STAND to listen to that woman's voice!
Any one else feel this way about Palin?  She irks me.
Right on - another voice of reason and truth (no message)

the voice of reason! completely true. nm

Yeah, and you're ALWAYS the voice of reason
Oh brother!
"Our opposition.." You are the voice of the liberal board?

voice mail doesn't cost anything - but I hate it
I cannot stand having to pick up my phone, hear a beep, beep, beep, then dial into the phone company, then dial my telephone number, then dial my password. Too much of a hassle for me. So it was free but what a waste of my time.
Voice mail doesn't cost anything? Crapola. My
phone company must be run by dems! I pay to have my phone company's voice mail, line item every month of my bundled services.

I'm not so lazy it bothers me to dial in and get my messages. Public mindset says, "give it to me without any effort, any cost to me, and let others pay for it." Private sector mindset says, "let me dial in, I'll pay for it, and when I can't, I'll discontinue the service."

No hassle to me says I can delete what I don't want to hear. Picking up a handset is better than picking up a welfare check.

Couple of months back, I was the lone voice on this issue.

Did anyone notice the voice doesn't match the video? How does that make her (sm)
a witch hunter? So ridiculous. The voice didn't even match the minister who was praying with her.
