...valid criticism with "bashing." I think the conservatives have been a little too sensitive to criticism of any kind over the past five years. Just on observation, they seem to feel that ANY criticism of the President is a personal attack on them and they often respond as if that was the intention all along. How they can support some of the policies coming out of Washington, I have no idea - what is the problem with simply saying "I'm not sure I like this particular policy" or "maybe Bush isn't doing the right thing on this one." But they can't! It seems to be all or nothing - sticking to the priciple of support rather than to the reality of what is going on.

Mr.TechSupport's language is just inappropriate. I think he should write poems or just stick to dry, technical support.

Nobody can reason with these people. I'm personally tired of visiting this board and being brought down by all the UN-American posts I see.
I'm interested in having a better life. All visiting this board does is show me enormous ignorance concentrated into one little site. There are other sites where people make sense.
This site is starting to become too toxic and hazardous to my health. I'll check back in a month or so, and if no common decency has returned, then there's no point in my coming back here any more.

Not true, the "liberals" confuse Democrats often
Many southerners and midwestern folks feel that Hollywood and both coasts have hijacked the Democrats and thus alienated them. There's a whole country in between that doesn't relate. What is grossly underestimated is the vast majority of us that are not either liberals or conservatives, but just Americans scratching our heads in puzzlement at the limited choices.
When we get our own board, we'll leave ya'll alone on both sides.
You confuse federal and local govt
Each state is supposed to govern themselves, not the federal government. Actually, it is unconstitutional for the federal government to even dictate laws to any state, which is why many states have now declared sovereignty from the federal government; they see the writing on the wall.
Taxes taken in by the states are supposed to be decided upon by the state how to use that money, including schools, law enforcement, etc..... NOT the federal government.
And yes, you would be able to defend yourself from foreign invaders because that is ALL the federal government is supposed to oversee in the first place, a strong military to defend our country against foreign invasion, which is a joke, considering they can't even defend our Mexico/US border!!!
You don't seem to understand that your government was NEVER to dictate to states what they do with their money, even if given money by the federal government; states are supposed to decide themselves how to best use the money..... federal government only says we'll give you the money but YOU have to do with it what we tell you to.
That is BIG brother mentality and it was never to be.......unfortunately, it is now worse than ever!!!

We on the right are true patriots. We believe in America, in capitalism, morality, accountability. This country was built on the backs of hardworking people who believed in every person's right to own property, to achieve wealth and enjoy all the spoils of their hardwork. I don't work so those who won't work, who choose to have boat loads of kids on my dime can continue to leech off society. I don't want anyone in my family to wait for four months for necessary surgery because the lefties think everyone has the right to healthcare.
History has proven time and time again that capitalism works and socialism breeds poverty. This is why communism fell. It is why America has been the most wealthy and successful and powerful country in the world for so long. Yes, were are in a recession. Yes, the economy is failing. All that means is it's time to go back to basics. It's time close our borders, stop offshoring American jobs, stop importing crap from Asia, and start manufacturing good 'ol American-made products right here! How many American jobs would be created if we did this? The ONLY way to improve America's economy is to create American jobs on American soil and buy American-made products!

Well, you certainly should not feel ignorant. The entire problem is lack of knowledge about what has really caused this. We do want to blame the corrupt business practices, but we should at least understand where it all comes from.....
I have posted a complete explanation of the Federal Reserve below and I hope you take the time to watch it. It is 42 minutes long but this is why so many feel they don't understand the problem. This is in a nutshell the root of the problem and why we need to get away from paper money.

This should be taught in all classrooms in high school and again in college and they all should be made watch this to better understand.... taking the time to watch means better understanding and should mean outrage that we have gotten to this point and allowed our government to screw us over.......for decades and decades

First of all, not one of Obama supporters has threatened to riot for not voting for him. Secondly, Democrats have way too much class to act like mindless, bloodthirsty fools -- I believe you missed all the incidences of McCain supporters being worked up into the hate-mongering mobs that became so common at their rallies. I personally have been saying for weeks that I was afraid of the backlash from the crazy fanatics blindly following McCain, and that I fully expected there to be some riots on that side of the fence. Lastly, I do not personally know one Democrat (and I know a lot) who have defected to the other side, whereas, there have been many, many longtime, famous, staunch pubs who want to distance themselves from the cartoon characters that McCain and Palin have become. I mean, you guys are the ones that just love, love, love your guns!! You guys want to talk about ACORN, so stupid. Have you not heard about McCain's bullies at the voting centers trying to intimidate people into not voting for Obama? And let's not forget those Robo calls. I just love it when people try to wallow around in righteous, indignant self pity. If you're so concerned about the plight of the Jewish people, why don't you go and help out your grandmother?
Ask yourself this question. Since Great Britian and the UN thought so highly of Jews as to actually declare them a separate nation, why didn't they create that nation in Europe? My guess is that there were 2 reasons. Number one would have to be the *not in my backyard phenomenon.* The other was simply as a controlling interest in the region. The reality is that Britian didn't give a rat's butt about the Jews. They just picked the most susceptible minds (at the time) to carry out their plans. They sold the idea of backing Isreal through religion and still do, just like the US does. One big clue to this is exactly how much we actually back Israel. We have brought them up to the level of nukes while they are still just fighting against homemade bombs. We (the US) look the other way when Israel kills hundreds of Palestinians, but will run a prime time special if 2 (not 200, just 2) Israelis are killed. Yeah, that's a fair fight. We back other leaders in the middle east, but only to a point (Saddam for example). Once they get to a point where they may actually become a threat to Israel (a holding interest for the west) we always manage to call them a threat for some other reason and level the playing field.
I really wish people would look at the big picture on this one. From a political standpoint, Israel is nothing more than a bishop in a chess game.

I didn't vote for GW. I'm not in to all that dem/rep stuff like you obviously are. I am sick to death of paying for lazy people, while my own husband who works his butt off can't get the medication he needs because it is too expensive but those same lazy moochers can go get medical care at my expense, all paid for by Medicaid. Just because you don't like the facts, does not mean they aren't there.

As a Christian, I would appreciate it if people would leave this type of subject out of our children's education. It is not unreasonable to ask since we have given up God and prayer in the schools to accommodate those who do not believe.
There are some people who will ridicule the act as well as the person as you can clearly see when we get on the subject of homosexuality. But you cannot group all of us into this category. I do not agree with that lifestyle but having no reason to treat them poorly. That is what I want to teach my children. We may not agree but we cannot be mean to them.
However, I cannot stand by and allow the teaching that homosexuality is okay. It is too controversial of a topic for that to be taught in schools.....just like religion. I can teach my children acceptance of people without teaching acceptance of a lifestyle we don't agree with and I would appreciate it if schools wouldn't undermine my authority on that subject.
You don't see me going around forcing religion on children who I know has parents who don't believe in God and don't want their kids hearing about God.

There was nothing ignorant in that post. I agree with oldtimer that the hate being spewed at McCain's and Palin's rallies is scary. And I don't like the fact that they are encouraging it. I am afraid for Obama. He's a good, decent, honest man and there are a lot of crazed people out there.
