Perversion of any religion is wrong (sm)
For any religion to think they are superior to another is wrong and is radical and extremist. People have had religious wars for thousands of years, killing others in the name of their God, and of course that includes Christians killing each other over whether they were protestant or not. I believe we can tell others our beliefs, and we have a right to our beliefs, but we have no right to hate others of another religion. It is the radicals, the extremists in all religions that are to be feared, not the peaceful people just living their lives, with their own personal beliefs.
That is if you can believe everything you read on the news.
The media that backs Barack will put a negative spin on the choice and the media that backs McCain will put a positive spin on it. Honestly, I wouldn't make any decisions based on anything I've read or heard in the news. It's so one-sided these days it's ridiculous. Truly hard to find unbiased journalism anymore.

This is old news and I believe it was Obama's
campaign that released the thesis so I don't really know if they were the ones trying to suppress it to begin with - but I don't know.
I guess my question is - what part of it did you think was racist? I know a couple of phrases from it have been quoted out of context, especially in mass e-mails.
A little more unsettling news about Obama...
I read that Madeline Albright (of Clinton Administration fame) is one of his top security and foreign relations advisors. The same Madeline Albright who was instrumental in the sanctions against Iraq (yes, Clinton wanted to get rid of him too). I wondered where Obama was getting his idea about "sanctions" and an "international coalition" against Iran (after he had to back down on his 'I would talk to Ahmadinejad face to face with no rules' remark...loose quote). That is very unsettling to me. Most people have forgotten how many Iraqi civilians died as a result of those sanctions because any food going into the country Hussein kept for himself and his party...over a million people died, half of those children. That is 500,000 children. That is a death toll MUCH greater than the entire Iraq war has caused....so if you are a body counter, it would serve you well to remember that. And that same Madeline Albright, when asked if it was worth it, replied, basically, "We think the price is worth it." She later apologized for the remark; however, here she is again hawking sanctions and Obama is on the train. Sanctions don't work. Didn't work in Iraq, won't work in Iran. Much "food" for thought.

put together by a private citizen (not the McCain campaign), the same guy who was behind the swift boat ads against Kerry. They could have run it and they chose not to. Good for them! I admit, there is cause for concern about Obama's connection to Ayers, but that kind of ad where it is mean accusation and innuendo with no real proof shouldn't be run, in my opinion. Good for them for stepping up.

Maybe you all might know this, but this is news to my ears. During most of President of Iran Ahmadinejad's speeches he always states this:
0, Almighty God, all men and women are Your creatures and You have ordained their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirsts for justice, the perfect human being promised to all by You, and make us among his followers and among those who strive for his return and his cause.
Who is this human being promised to all?
Their new messiah. The way this new messiah appears is by getting rid of little Satan and big Satan. Iran muslims,(I was told there are 2 type of muslims) believe when messiah appears, there has to be a lot of blood shed.
WHO IS THE LITTLE SATAN AND BIG SATAN?:
Israel's role is first of all to protect itself, but also to alert others to the danger of militant Islam. They intend to go after Israel, but for them Israel is merely the "little Satan," one stepping stone on the march to world domination. For Ahmadinejad's Iran, Europe is a "middle-sized Satan" and the United States is the "great Satan."
So, how can you reason and do talks with president Iran when he thinks this way and muslims think this way? It is not all muslims that do, but this one particular type. How can you reason with Ahmadinejad when United States in his eyes is Satan? He wants us dead so this new messiah will come to them.

I don't agree that we should protect a pedophile, I don't agree with a lot of other things listed in the OP's list, but that does not mean that I think people in America have the right to physically harm the people that practice those things, and if they are harmed, then the person doing the harm should be punished.

And yes, it is more like followers than supporters, and a great many of them, including on this board, turn into a snarling, snapping, pack attack on anyone who posts anything negative or unflattering about him. I cannot believe you can say that no one can make you hate. We all have the capacity within us to hate. But no one hates spontaneously and it most certainly can be taught. do you think Islamic terrorists were born hating? Of course not. But they are taught it, and they learn it. Just the way a lot of kids were taught racism. THey werren't born hating, it was taught to them until they thought that was the way it was supposed to be. They didn't even know it was hate. Louis Farrakhan preaches hate. The I disagree totally that hate comes from within and that no one can make you hate. Oh yes they can.
All that being said...I did not say that by design Obama makes his followers that way...I said I didn't know. But the fact remains, those are the traits they exhibit.
And I never said, not one time, that Obama was a hater. Did not say that at all. All I said was he inspired that kind of emotion in many of his followers.

of his the pastor's hero Louis Farrakhan...and read the creed of Obama's church substituting "white" everywhere you see the word "black" and then we can have a discussion about racism as a way of life, not idle comments on a talk show. he has repeated it in numerous interviews. Thank you for the method of delivery lesson on crack and cocaine (by the way, crack IS cocaine and you can snort it). That being said, I don't think the method of delivery matters. He did cocaine (however he chose to do it, smoke or snort), he says so very openly in his book. He also drank quite heavily for awhile, he also admits drinking. I don't know how he avoided the legal consequences but that doesn't matter. He doesn't say whether he got hooked or not, or how he got un-hooked.
So please do your research before jumping on me.

All you have to do is read up on Marxism, read up on...
black liberation theology, and look at what Obama is proposing. All of it a matter of public record, most of it from his own mouth. Your denial of it does not change the facts. If you support socialism, vote for him. Certainly your right. You are already wanting to squelch any kind of dissent...what's up with that? If you seriously consider calling someone a socialist a smear, you really need to read up on your candidate. I did not post a smear, I posted a fact. Redistribution of wealth is socialist and he already said he was going to do it...I heard him say it and it is now a campaign commercial. Sigh.

In all fairness, that is the only footage I have seen of him not doing so....never was a recipient of whatever chain email you are speaking of. Believe it...yes, saw it with my own eyes. Why he did it, have no idea. There could be a multitude of reasons why he didn't do it. Here is the big BUT...it does make one a but curious when coupled with the fact that he dispensed with wearing of the flag pin on his lapel. I heard his explanation; I am just not sure I buy it. Each thing alone not such a big deal...together, it does make one wonder, so I can see why nanna might have reservations. It is good to question things and not take everything at face value...be the candidate Dem, Repub, Inde...whatever.

A propanganda machine for repubs. No one is obligated to appear on that network. There are plenty of other media outlets. Fox's ratings are dropping and MSNC's are climbing. Fox disguises these facts by including their entertainment ratings in with their "news" ratings. As far as ALL OTHER MEDIA being liberal, that is a transparent technique to keep viewers from getting opinions from ANY OTHER source than Fox. I certainly wouldn't fall for that bunko. I also notice that they concentrate on certain sites such as Media Matters and NY Times specifically because those sites are excellent at presenting the truth about distorted information disseminated by the propaganda machine. To each his own.

Sorry, I'm conservative, but have to ask why you would go down that road when you can find those answers yourself.
Might I suggest worldnetdaily.com, townhall.com, drudgereport.com, breitbart.com, talk radio (and the hosts' web sites, including Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, Savage, Levin, Michelle Malkin, Rush, etc.). There are countless news stories that never make the mainstream media.
Another thing to consider is who a person keeps for company. When questionable names keep coming up (Pflager, Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Dohrn, etc.), that would concern me if I were considering any kind of relationship with someone, but that's just me.
Those who support Obama get their news from MSNBC, CBS, NBC, and so on. Those networks alone have been proven repeatedly to be biased. All the times that McCain went abroad, where were Couric, Gibson, and Williams? Why would any American think that the Democrats, who are determined to reinstate Fairness Doctrine, think that it won't come back and bite them? Why should any American be silenced just because one group disagrees with another?
Do you know what is posted on blogs like the DailyKos and HuffingtonPost?
Lastly, a couple more stats. The #1 most liberal Senator is Obama. Kennedy is #2, Biden is #3. Even the moderate Democrats are distancing themselves from him. This info is documented and not fiction.
That's rather left of left, I would say.

Just saw first installment of interview with SP with Charlie Gibson. In my opinion, she really messed that up! Experienced and ready to lead? No way. Danced around every question and flat out lied when asked what she said about Iraq War being a mission from God. What's the worst thing about listening to her for the first time in her own words, she says NUCULAR!!! Just like George Bush. Oh no...not again.
