(our troops) at a higher risk or not. There's the arguement that you are backing which is the idea that it would serve as a recruitment tool. But then, there is the idea that if the people of these countries in the middle east actually see us come clean and know that we are walking the walk instead of just being talking heads (like we usually are where they're concerned), they might actually start working with us against Al-Q and the Taliban (the current problem in Pakistan). Gaining the confidence of the people of these countries (I believe) is going to be key in maintaining a stable environment over there, and I think this could play a key role towards that end. Of course, we won't know the result until it happens.
