I'm sure that now that

Palin is the official running mate to McCain that we will get to know about her fairly fast.  The Dems are going to be digging out anything bad they can find and the reps are going to be throwing out anything positive they have in their vault.  Just because someone is relatively new to you doesn't make the person the wrong person for the job.  I find it my duty as an American citizen to check her out and see whether she deserves my stamp of approval.  So far I can say that she sounds like a good choice to me, but thankfully we have until November before we have to make the FINAL decision.  I'm sure not everyone likes her in Alaska but an 80% approval rating, IMHO, is excellent.  Not everyone is going to 100% agree with everything.

I would much rather them pick the right person who is relatively unknown to us than pick someone who is bad for the job just because we all know their name.

Ask your family members in Alaska what they think and please let us know what they have to say about her.  It would be interesting to hear what they think of her since she is their governor.
