I think some of it is the opportunity to express some covert racism.

Apparently she was covert tho
or none of this would be happening AND the only reason everybody and their 3rd cousin knew where she worked is because someone leaked it. It may be much ado about nothing, but if thats true why take two years to investigate it? From everything I read, Fitzgerald is not a partisian hack for either side, but a real honest to goodness good guy who loves to take down bad guys, politicians or mafia or whoever he is after. I realize that last sentence was a bit simplistic, but you get the general idea. And if indictments do come out of this and they are of anyone in the White House, it is going to be a very very big deal. And in the periphery of all of this, is the lead in to possible mismangement of intelligence in order to lead us into war. THAT is why all the pundits are salivating and why Fox News and Rush L are gettin so upset. It may end up to be a tempest in a teapot or it may bring down the Bush Administration. Only time will tell. Either way there will be a lot of upset people out there, whichever way it turns out.
You can only "out" someone who is covert....
she was not covert. The fact remains.
If we are not allowed to express

political viewpoints.....what is the point of a political board?

I have know idea to what post you are referring to that you posted and was removed.  You would have to take that up with the moderator.

Because so far I'm still allowed to express my honest opinion. He hasn't taken that away from us
yet.

Those are his words, and what is scary is that I think he believes it. It's bad enough we've got enemies who believe they're in a religious war. With each passing day, I'm starting to think HE believes he's in one, too. If that's the case, we're in more trouble than anyone could have thought.

My post was about HIM, not about you. But it isn't the first time a Bush groupie has PERSONALLY attacked a poster for expressing their opinion about BUSH. Now, how do you think that makes YOU look? Maybe it's YOU who should grow up or at least WAKE up and see what he's doing, not just to us but to the entire WORLD.

As long as we all still have freedom of expression, I'll continue to express my views, whether you like them or not.

And I hope you keep posting. Nobody can prove my point for me like a Bush groupie, and I do appreciate the help!!

Big Brother is I believe a covert force infiltrating each and every one's personal lives without
their knowledge. That is hardly the same thing as a poster on an MT board noticing that 4 different names post the same thing. I think that is creepy.  I have been on this board for a long time and I recognize patterns, phrases that are repeated verbatim from far in the past, things people remember about me and say something like ***weren't you the one who ....*** and it is posted under a name different from the original. I leave Big Brother to our shadow government, wherever they are.
We are free to express whatever faith-related things we want over there, thanks for your input thoug

Given the opportunity, I would have
voted for Ron Paul.  However, Obama taught constitutional law and a constitutional lawyer.  He has stated more than once that he will UPHOLD the Constitution.
your opportunity to judge Clinton's

behavior by voting for/against him is officially over.  Break on through to the new millenium.

Equal opportunity basher....... sm
I'm an Independent, and have been for years, because I don't uphold the Dem/Pub party process any more. It may have served a real purpose when it was initiated, but those times are long gone. My Daddy was a true-blue Democrat and it wasn't until his later years that he really began looking at the issues and the politicians as a whole rather than through the bipartisan microscope.

My opinion, now that the big event is behind us, is that everyone (at least the ones on this board) voted in their own conscience. Most of the posters here seem to have researched the issues and applied their own opinions as they felt led and I don't think anyone needs to be told "I told you so" or needs to rub in the fact that their man won. As Chele, I believe it was, pointed out, we (collectively speaking) have placed a man in office, and while the future ain't lookin' too rosey right now, we all need to pull together and get through whatever the fallout may be the best we can.

FWIW...I've never been happy with the "solution" to the Kennedy assasination either. I think it was poorly handled yet expertly covered up. Be that as it may, the person(s) that were really behind this have to deal with whatever recompense they have coming.

To paraphrase Hoover, "A crow in every pot and forget about the car!"
BTDT. This is an equally offensive opportunity.

Equal opportunity for all Americans is not a new vision.
Get with the program.
Hate speech is an equal opportunity killer.
neither can you.
Eugenics and master plans.are equal opportunity
Its all about the source and what their driving agendas may be. Readers who believe in and promote master plan theories based on racial purity would be WAY gullible to be convinced of other conspiracy theories, no matter how idiotic the are. Those of us grounded in reality, not so much.

Scouring the net on the topics you named (especially govt takeovers) speaks for itself. If you cite sources from the whack world, don't expect to be taken too seriously.
Another Rope-A-Dope Opportunity for Russian President Medvedev

Quite apart from Obama already having been sucker-punched diplomatically by Putin and Medvedev (but apparently having learned nothing from it), and having absolutely no confidence that the Russians will be honest brokers anyway, I hope Obama leaves us enough nukes to deal with Iran and North Korea - and whatever rogue countries they sell their missiles to.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/03/31/russia-agree-start-talks-seek-reduce-nuclear-arms/

It has never been a winning strategy to deal with regimes like these from a position of reduced strength.  Never.  Ever.

Evidently, my conservative friend, there is no opportunity to be missed in attacking Bush.
And threads are being hijacked on the conservative board as well.  It's amazing.
Racism

Racism does not have to be whites not accepting blacks.  It can also be blacks not accepting whites.  And that does happen.  I would not approve of anybody that was trying to be a leader of this great country siding with one or the other.  They need to accept both blacks and whites.  Obviously, Obama does not think that way.  So what, if he was a teen when he wrote these books.  They should never have been published if he does not agree with what is in them.

All this mess that is going on now did not start with George Bush.  Congress controls this country, with the president having veto power.  The Dems have been in power insofar as Congress goes for the last two years.  But it started even before then.

Wake up, America!  You think with all our news media announcing to the world what we are getting ready to do that if Iraq had WMD they would not have known what was going on over here and what our plans were and most likely would have moved the WMD to another country.

Now I know there isn't any racism in
.
Racism

Will racism play a major roll in this election?  You betcha.  However, you cannot say that people not voting for Obama are racist.  Some of them are, but not all of them.  How many Obama supporters are voting for him just because he is black?  Probably a heck of a lot....so you have racism on both sides here.

Yesterday someone posted and used Barrack Obama's middle name and they were called racist for doing so.  I do not see how this is racist.  It is the man's name.  How can someone be racist for calling him by his name?

I seriously am tired of people playing the race card.  Yes, racism is out there and it will play a part in this election but that most definitely goes on both sides.  You have your wacko people yelling "kill him" at a McCain rally.  The media tried to say it happened again at a Palin rally, but that is untrue.  It was only yelled during a McCain speech.  That was wrong and crazy people like that are way out of line.  They are also giving good people who are McCain supporters bad names.  Then you have Obama's supporters.  There are many good people who are on Obama's side and yet there are those crazy wack jobs on his side as well who are only voting for him because he IS black and most certainly will be screaming racism if Obama should lose.

Both sides are guilty of racism.  Some are afraid of the crazy people yelling "kill him" and others are afraid of crazy Obama supporters rioting if he should lose.  It goes both ways.  So stop blaming one side or the other.  They both have nut job racists.  I'm just tired of hearing about this.

Racism
I can't help but wish that everyone making less than $50,000 a year who opposes Obama would take a few moments to sit quietly and really question him/herself about the racial question. If those folks were honest with themselves, really honest, I bet they'd be quite surprised. I can't think of any other reason why folks making $50,000 or less (much less) a year would support the Republicans, just simple racism.
Racism
And white folks haven't been raising their children to judge people by the color of their skin since, well, way back before Jim Crow--and DON'T get me started on Jim Crow. All thru my working life (40-plus years) I've been seeing sneaky racism in the legal and medical fields thru a white woman's eyes and, frankly, I'm thoroughly disgusted with those of us on the paler side of the makeup counter.
There is no racism in America, no way!

Al Sharpton doesn't have to look far for fuel...see the following story on racism in America.

On June 28 2007 a young black defendant Mychal Bell was found guilty of aggravated assault against a young white man by an all white jury despite conflicting testimony from witnesses.

His defense lawyer was incompetent at the very least and didn't even call the only adult to witness what happened to the stand. This man's testimony could have concievably blown the prosecuters case out of the water.

Originally the prosecuter tryed to charge Mychal and others with attempted murder for being involved in what was basically a fight and only backed off because of a worlwide public out cry. Learn more about the case from documents sent to me by Alan Bean, the founder of Friends of Justice a group dedicated to making sure all people are given a fair trial. You can read the documents by clicking the links below:

If you want a definition of racism...
read the creed for Obama's church...and read some of his pastor mentor's sermons...and some of the speeches and quotes of their friend Louis Farrakhan. That, my friend, is the very definition of racism. When you read the creed of the church, substitute the word "white" everywhere the word "black" is used and tell me it is not racist. We do NOT need a racist in the White House.
Racism is on both sides......not just one
xx
Racism....that is a bit of a stretch....
because vanilla is white? LOL. The point was that if you are preaching change, and you pick the guy who has been a senator for 30-some years and may not LIVE in DC but is certainly part of the DC establishment...that is not change, it is picking "vanilla" meaning generic, and Joe Biden is definitely a generic DC liberal. Definitely not a change from DC politics...which is exactly opposite from what Obama has been saying he wanted to do..get away from politics as usual in DC.
There is no racism in my tone......
I am just sick of nuts like him standing up there and making absolutely insane remarks, such as the "messiah" thing. And what is even worse, he has weak followers if they don't see this man for what he is. HE is a RACIST man. I have no problem calling him out on that one. He is racist, his comments are racist, and he loves to divide the races. If you don't like it, too bad. The facts aren't prety are they?

Nice racism, lis!
You should be ashamed of yourself!
I believe YOU were concerned about racism...
+
Of course racism is alive and well...sm
One explanation, and I know many people who did this....people wanted to be able to say that they voted in the first black man into the white house. And that is all well and good, but they did it only to be able to say they voted him in. Period.

Obama is long on style, short on substance....and extremely short on experience.

We've elected someone who's about to get on the job training.

I have not seen any racism here. You are making
nm
You seem to be an expert on racism.....
NN
It goes MANY ways. For example, I see racism
nm
Ah, yes. Racism. Now it's all because of color.
People were very lavish with their criticism of Bush as a 'cowboy' etc.  He walked with a 'swagger'.  He talked funny (said nucular).  I guess these criticisms showed covert 'texism' ?
It does not matter how racism is born...
racism is racism. All whites did not enter into the slavery trade nor discrimination nor condone it, and if it had not been for some fed-up white Republicans like Abe Lincoln slavery would not have been abolished as quickly as it was. And if it had not been for some fed-up white Republicans shoving through the Right to Vote act in the 60's, oppression would certainly be worse still today. So I would be very careful about saying all whites oppressed anyone. And that is what racism is...condemning an entire "race" for perceived injustices or perceived inferiority. To the Nation of Islam, apparently to Obama's church, to Black panthers...there is no good white person. Exactly the way the old south was in reverse. Defend it if you like...it is still virulent racism and should not be condoned for ANY reason.

So, my friend, when you talk about quotas in jobs, quotas in scholarships, being put ahead not because of hard work or actually qualifying for something like a job or a scholarship, please don't whine about how blacks or minorities are oppressed. In today's culture it should strictly be on merit, not on the color of your skin, be that white, black, yellow, red or chartreuse.

And, frankly, your last sentence sounds pretty racist itself.
Really? I would hate to see your criteria for racism

See below:

As a young broadcaster in the 1970s, Limbaugh once told a black caller: "Take that bone out of your nose and call me back." A decade ago, after becoming nationally syndicated, he mused on the air: "Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

In 1992, on his now-defunct TV show, Limbaugh expressed his ire when Spike Lee urged that black schoolchildren get off from school to see his film Malcolm X: "Spike, if you're going to do that, let's complete the education experience. You should tell them that they should loot the theater, and then blow it up on their way out."

In a similar vein, here is Limbaugh's mocking take on the NAACP, a group with a ninety-year commitment to nonviolence: "The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies."

When Carol Moseley-Braun (D-IL) was in the U.S. Senate, the first black woman ever elected to that body, Limbaugh would play the "Movin' On Up" theme song from TV's "Jeffersons" when he mentioned her. Limbaugh sometimes still uses mock dialect -- substituting "ax" for "ask"-- when discussing black leaders.

Such quotes and antics -- many compiled by Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR) for our 1995 book -- offer a whiff of Limbaugh's racial sensibility. So does his claim that racism in America "is fueled primarily by the rantings and ravings" of people like Jesse Jackson. Or his ugly reference two years ago to the father of Madonna's first child, a Latino, as "a gang-member type guy" -- an individual with no gang background.

because these statements do demonstrate racism
and I people should be aware they were made. As I said, but you obviously didn't take the time to think about, I am against ANY racism.
YOur ignorance and racism is showing
OBAMAJAD? Could your side please give the "he's a Muslim" chant a rest?

Or do you enjoy looking stupid?
Nothing you have said here can change the racism reflected
Two words...gag me.
T How Lame Are You/What a Joke RE: Racism

Where to start? I simply presented a logical argument predicated on definitions the original poster was obviously unfamiliar with. So far, there is nothing in this current post that even begins to address the challenge to show what part of that "dense" post was not prejudiced, bigoted and racist, seeing as how there is no proof presented here to back up these tiresome wild-eyed accusations.
I was 15 years old when the March on Washington occurred. My mom was a political junkie, a trait that I began exhibiting at around age 12, since I admired her so much...the same way that Obama obvious admired his own mother. So I began paying attention to the civil rights movement when they desegregated my school when I was around 11. You see, down South, they were a bit slow to comply with Brown vs the Board of Educaton..and in my state, they fought tooth and nail all the way up into the early 70s before complying with the order.
I also paid attention to all things racial, because I came from what would be considered an elite, privileged background and was raised by 2 black women (maid and nanny) and a black man (gardener) who were employed in my Highland Park, Dallas Texas household (BUSH country). Back then, it was not considered "fashionable" for the wealthy to do "hands-on parenting." So, I know a thing or two about racism, bigotry and prejudice first hand. I never understood why those 3 kind, wise souls (who I loved more than anyone else in the world and every bit as I loved my own parents) were treated so horribly every time we were out in public. Consequently, I took an avid interest in the civil rights movement at the tender age of 12, began reading everything I could get my hands on regarding the subject. At age 16, I started becoming active in those movements.
Now, these facts are for you. Obama was born in 1961. The march on Washington occurred in August of 1963. The Selma to Montgomery march occurred in 1965. Those marches were not exactly spontaneous events, but rather were a culmination of years of work and organization, and Obama's "blabby" in Selma abouthis parents is perfectly chronologically consistent, unlike your LAME attempt to educate me.
Beyond that, I refuse to address this racial diatribe. I learned at an early age to DESPISE racists and have very little to nothing to do with them. I will, however, confront racism whenever I see it, without fail. Over these last 5 decades, I have developed a keen sense that enabled me to sniff out the stench of racism 1000 miles away. You, dear, are a consummate prejudiced, bigoted racist and as such, have absolutely no credibility no matter how vehemently you doest protest.
One more thing. Prejudice, bigotry and racism is an anachronism that belongs buried far back in that shameful chapter of our history and is definitely a huge part of what kind of change voters are seeking in this election...the goal being to march forward, not backwards. I for one will be on that march forward until the day I take my last ragged breath.

Racism works both ways
You say your white relative may not vote for a black man but where I live racism is alive and well coming from the black community as well. It is taught to their children, which is very sad, and they bring it into the schools as well.

If you are bothered by the racism that this election

then what about mysogyny and sexism?

There are some Obama supporters out there sporting some Palin-bashing shirts.

If you dont' like Obama, you are probably a racist, right?

Oh, but there is no hate thrown at Sarah Palin?  Take a look at the link below and see for yourself.

Now, I ask you, are all of you Sarah-haters mysogynists and sexist?

Generalizations will get you nowhere.  Yes, I am sure people won't vote for Obama because he is black, and many blacks will vote for him JUST because he is black, REGARDLESS of his policies.  I think the huge majority of people that aren't voting for him are not in agreement with his policies or don't like his character.  THAT is NOT being racist.  THAT is seeing through the rhetoric and coolness for what he truly stands for and not taking his bait.  No thanks.  I'm voting McCain.

See the link.  (Warning, adults only)

Wanna talk racism?

The link below is to a radio show -- no film -- just talk.  These people could care less about the stances of either candidate or their running mates, they just want O to be elected, maybe because of his color?  They certainly don't give any other justifiable reason.

A Sharpton on TV speaking of racism still against
nm
Oh didn't you know...racism only pertains to

That attitude is why racism still exists.....
nm
JTBB, they don't care about racism,
they don't care about history, and we're just making something out of nothing, and this is exactly WHY the nation is going to h*** in a handbasket.  No one has any empathy for anyone anymore.  It really a depressing time in our history.  Try to explain about how people truly SUFFERED through the years, through all that happened in the South during the Civil Rights Movements, not just to Southerners but Northerners who tried to help the black people: blacks and whites DIED for civil rights.  Sad that we have not evolved to a more caring, understanding nation.  Sad and Unbelieveable.
This racism thing is getting out of hand
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics/AP/story/914106.html

So now if they do accept the provisions, then they are bashed because they opposed it.

But if they don't accept the provisions, then they are racist because of the poor black people in the community.

I guess the poor white people don't matter. Just the minorities. Because there is no such thing as a poor white person, right?

I mean really, darned if you do, darned if you don't!
Cop-out! Claiming racism anytime someone says
nm
It is definitely some form of prejudice! So if not racism...
To say someone's administration is a failure 3 months into a 48 month term is pre-judging. Prejudging is another word for prejudice.

No matter what kind of sanctimonious spin they want to put on their words, the bottom line is their are prejudiced.
Oh, you would resort to the racism thing.
nm
Racism on this board? Not fair to assume that.
nm
I agree - have never read one post of racism
In fact the total opposite.
