I was in the UK.

Since that is my home.  We may be a little more Middle East savvy, that is the ordinary person on the street, since we have so many Arabs living in the UK.  However, you did not really address my question. If you had friends who knew, were you voicing your outrage then.  And do you now have a care for what will happen in Iraq if all forces were to leave posthaste?   I should think history would have taught you better.  I must say, I am dismayed at this cut and run attitude.  I hope you are not thinking that by leaving swiftly and carelessly we will have appeased the enemy?  Yes, well, many in the UK thought as much.  Men like Mark Steyn and Chris Hitchens, transplanted Brits as it were, know better.  I do, as well.
