I saw this last night. It is scheduled to be on again today, Saturday and Sunday. This does a great job of explaining how Wall Street's greed not only messed up the USA but also other countries as well. This is a great show. Would highly recommend it.

And I think he should and WILL someday have his accountability moment. I don't think the US should have invaded Iraq and we wouldn't be having this conversation today. But the fact remains, if we pullout and bring troops home before we stabilize Iraq it will mean more trouble for the US in the long run. We have to finish what Bush has started.

credit for safety = credit for 9/11
If Bush wants takes credit for keeping us "safe" from terrorist attacks since 9/11, then he has to take credit for the fact that we experienced the largest terrorist attack in US history under his presidency, as well. He can't have it both ways!
I gave credit where credit was due.
I think Obama did a good job not saying anything about the hostage situation with the captain and I commend him for giving the order to the Navy Seals to do what they did. But still.....I think the heroes and the biggest thank yous need to go to the ones who risked their necks to save the captain.....and that would be the Navy Seals.
All in all, I don't like a lot of things that Obama has done. I know Bush didn't do us any favors in his 8 years either, but Obama is now in office and I do not like the way our country is heading.
As for not giving Obama any slack....how many of you people gave Bush slack on anything even when he did something good....cuz believe it or not.....he did some good things too. It goes both ways.

I bet that if it were proposed to the UN and some of our friends in the nether regions of the intention to pull the military out of Iraq to concentrate on the rebuild, we would probably get more protective support than we are getting now.

One clear signal voters are sending this time around is that they no longer buy into NeoCon extremist viewpoints. The republican party is also trying desperately to distance itself from the right fringe of its own party via "diva," "rogue," and "whack job" perjoratives used to describe the VP pick and McCain's poor judgment. O camp donations not unlawful.
Current campaign finance laws do not require records to be kept on donations less than $200. If records are not required and hence, not kept, then they cannot be produced.
Both campaigns have solicited on-line contributions, some of which have questionable sources in the sense that they are not properly identified or identifiable, including McC contributions documentation that does not reflect geographic origins.
As a matter of fact, O camp donations ARE in compliance with FEC (as are McC's), so no investigation is "warranted." Furthermore, O camp has returned contributions they deem coming from "suspicious" sources.
In terms of the Nigerian donations, no one can stop ATTEMPTS by foreign nationals to contribute to candidates they support. It is not an issue unless they are actually ACCEPTED.

I was reading recently about a conference in Washington by conservative Jews, Ben Stein being among them, and a lot of others, including many Rabbis, who are distressed at the pro-abortion stance of some Jews, including the partial birth abortion stance. I voted today for Obama/Biden. The going will be rough for whoever wins, but I have hope with Obama and I have not had this much hope in a long time.

here's a girl after my own heart. I have
done my share of camping in the winter inside the house, too. We will probably have a cold winter, we usually do after a hurricane. I had whiskey barrel planters outside that had filled with water and never got any plants put in them and they froze solid that winter; I am 20 miles off the coast. My girlfriend went "skating" on the stock pond that winter and broke through the ice. She says her feet have been cold ever since. Looks like I will be spot heating again this winter, just where I happen to be in sweats and sweaters and an electric blanket or small heater. My son is a train engineer and he tried to tell the boys at the coal plant what would happen, but they were dems and their daddies were dems, etc., and oh, the ripple effect that is coming.
