Even if I preferred McCain (which I don't) I would use my vote to keep this thug out of office.
Back in summer of 2005. Saw it
The big housing market Bubble was going to pop. And? It sure as heck did.
I would be somwhat ok in summer, but in WINTER?

Bush considered taking Obama's approach last summer
efforts to forge peace in Israel/Palestine.

Bush floated the idea of re-establishing a diplomatic US interests section in Tehran last summer which for the time being has been shelved.

Here's the no-brainer rule-of-thumb on this topic. If you wwant war, you don't negotiate with opponents. If you want peace, you sit down aat the table.

When evaluating the credibility of this ad, as yourself that basic question..."Who stands to benefit the most" by taking this position? As they have demonstrated over the past 60 years, it is in Zionist's best interest to perpetuate war in their region. They have been able to enrich their nation immensely with US taxpayer dollars and enjoy an uncontested nuclear bully status in the region as the US's most favorite global puppet. The notion that the US would promote peace or stability in the region would diminish their status exponentially and are the last nation on earth that would like to see the US play the disarmament card.
LOL. They think everyone supports Bush...sm
I am a former Republican and I wouldn't consider posting over there. It all falls on deaf ears.
I never said all the military supports the war.
That is a flat out untruth.
well, either is a guy who supports infanticide...
and McCain has always supported rehab not incarceration for first-time offender users and harsher penalties for dealers and international cartel kingpins. His wife is not a dealer and is not an international cartel kingpin. Get your facts straight.

Biden, not too long ago, said he would be proud to be on a ticket with John McCain. Yes, WITH. And now he is going to have to do a major flip flop and cut him to ribbons. Any respect I EVER had for him is gone.
He is not fit to be vice president either.

Supports his lifestyle?
So you're saying if he's poor, he won't be gay anymore??? You don't have to have money to be gay. How are you supporting his lifestyle?

Ann only supports her own aspirations of fame...sm
and she leaves no photo op or video shout out unturned. She's ignorant, prejudiced and her followers buy it, literally.

Maybe it is my small sense of pride in where I lay my head, but I have to respectfully disagree with you about America commiting genocide throughout the world. Were we wrong for entering Iraq preemptively, YES. Have their been atrocities that we should all be ashamed of, YES. But I'm not aware of any genocide commited by America.

Darfur, that's genocide.
Anyone who supports Bush is a neoconservative sm
Neoconservatism is a political agenda that concentrates on militarily enforcing an aggressive US foreign policy. Everyone from the other board that posts here support these aggressive policies.

The neoconservatives advocate a paradigm shift in which the United States spreads American values by asserting American power-by force, if necessary. The big movers of the neoconservative movement have all at one time shared the same roof under the Project For a New American Century (PNAC).

Some of them include & have served in both Bush administrations:

Donald Rumsfeld (Secretary of Defense)
Paul Wolfowitz (Deputy Secretary of Defense)
Peter W. Rodman (Assistant Secretary of Defense)
Dick Cheney (Vice President)
Elliott Abrams (National Security Council)
Steve Forbes (Forbes Magazine)
Zalmay Khalilzad (special envoy for Afghanistan)
Jeb Bush (Governor of Florida and brother of President George W. Bush)

There is a lot of information on their webpage:

http://www.newamericancentury.org/

There is one page on there of particular interest where they talk about their need for a new Pearl Harbor called Rebuilding America's Defenses. It was written 1 year before 9-11.

She supports birth control and ..

supports abstinence-only education in schools, but she has also said she does not support tax payer dollars to distribute birth control in schools. She is a member of Feminists for Life, which is an pro-life group.

Feminist for Life is a pro-life group that has had its positions distorted to show that they are against birth control. Palin critics (including many in the media) have cherry picked in order to smear Gov. Palin.

Lieberman supports McCain
I heard about that and also Juliani also supports him.  I think that's great.
No, it is not, but US supports Israel every year with
billions of dollars and the newest military technology.
Former Israeli administrations already agreed to a 2-state solution. The Palestinians would get the Westbank as their state. Instead of keeping their promise, Israel started to build the 20-meter-high separation wall and building settlements for the Israelis.

Obama wants this to stop and Netanyahu does not want to comply as a hardline right-winger. It is Netanyahu who wants the whole occupied Palestine for Israel and does not want a 2-state solution. He wouldn't even 'utter' the term ƈ-state solution,' not even when he was discussing this issue with Obama in Washington; he just circled around it.

This does not come out of my head, I am very literate, informed, I look around what is going on in the world, always, I am tolerant and fair.

I didn't say he blindly supports Bush.
Scarborough is objective and honest, and if something is wrong, he tells people.  He doesn't blindfold himself and play follow the leader like so many Bush supporters.  He's not a Bush apologist.
Who supports Obama? Everybody in the democratic party
it appears. I was a Clinton fan as I know she takes care of business and knows how to get things done in the Senate and Congress.

McCain and Palin will lead us to a supreme court nominee which will be a republican and we cannot afford that.

Hardly. Consorting with vs direct quote? Supports succession
The quote thing, whether SP or her husband is not the only example of the problems SP will be facing once the convention is over and the campaign goes into high gear. So far, this morning, you have managed to dodge every single effort to elicit a response to SP's OWN words. Dismiss the pastor, but not her own preaching on video. That just won't fade away no matter how much spin you are able to produce. These are land mines waiting for detonation.

With regard to the "got not use for America's damned institutions" and support of succession question, these issues will not play well for yer in terms of country first, in the context of ethics (can't practice what is preached) and when it comes to change versus same old stuff.

Before pronoucing this as a nonissue, suppose we give this a little time to play out in the political arena? Your guilt by association campaign has already run its course, and Obama managed to clench the nomination. In the light of the blaring negative publicity that will be issuing forth in the weeks to come with SP being the newest rock star on the block, how much political mileage do you really think that empty tank is going to give you?
Obama is a CHRISTIAN. He supports equal rights...sm
for all people including gay people. I think that the radical Christian right are the gay haters.
How about Michelle!!
She was great last night at the convention!!  I will be tuning in for the remainder of the convention.  I am so excited about this race!!  It is time for change!!
Michelle
Not only do I believe Michelle is racist but I believe her husband is as well. If you listen to him it's there even if you have to read between the lines.  My personal feeling is that it would be easier to deal with that than with McCain/Palin.  I will be the first to admit that I may be making a mistake because I do not want to see either of them in office.  Unfortunately, the Republicans on here will not even debate the issues they are so dead set for McCain/Palin.  The fact that some may say she is lacking in experience, which she is, doesn't bother me.  We might even be  better off with an outsider who had no political experience whatsoever but a large dose of common sense which Washington seems to be extremely short on..  Experience is not my problem with Palin.  She comes across to me as a simpering airhead.   What kind of common sense did McCain show when he picked her after having only met her one time and talked to her on the phone once.  Because he thought she would attract Hillary's woman voters.  Looks like he may have been right too.
And so he should....and Michelle should...
remiburse the tax coffers for her little private C130 ride from Paris to London for shopping. Won't hold my breath waiting on that check. It is somehow worse that he was using to meet his mistress than she was using it to go shopping?? BOTH WRONG.
Sarah Palin fans are as whack as Palin.
Even John McCain's top adviser referred to Sarah Palin as a whack job.

here's what Michelle Obama says about the WHOLE PIE - please sm
This is what Michelle Obama had to say about the 'redistribution of wealth' (in keeping with the Global Poverty Act):

"The truth is most Americans don't want much. Folks don't want the whole pie. Most Americans feel blessed to thrive a little bit, but that's out of reach for them. The truth is, in order to get things like unviersal health care and a revamped education system, then SOMEONE IS GOING TO HAVE TO GIVE UP A PIECE OF THEIR PIE SO THAT SOMEONE ELSE CAN HAVE MORE."

And to accomplish this, she says:

"Barack Obama will require you to work. He is gong to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your division, that you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones, that you push yourselves to be better, and that you engage. BARACK WILL NEVER ALLOW YOU TO GO BACK AND LIVE YOUR LIVES AS USUAL, uninvolved, uniformed."

I'm sorry, but that thinking is more in line with the totalitarian governments of China, North Korea and Cuba. Last I looked, I was still living in America. I have the Constitutional right to succeed or fail according to my own abilities, and I staunchly support everyone else's right to do the same. (You know, that little something called 'the pursuit of happiness?)

But I don't want big government deciding I have 'enough' and handing it off to someone in another country who may not have their 'fair share.' I already pay taxes, tithe 10% to charities, volunteer at my local food bank, and shovel the sidewalk of the elderly couple next door. I think most Americans are doing this kind of stuff day in and day. Because WE CARE about one another.

If more of my money is being shipped overseas, how am I to help my own next door neighbor?

Michelle Obama

When you said that Michelle Obama "doesn't talk like a black woman," - how exactly do black women talk?  When you said that, it is so clear that you are racist.  I am sure you will have one heck of an explanation about what you meant, but I would rather hear how you think black women talk.

I really hope that Michelle will put on at her
next appearance 'some sleeves' at least, or maybe a jacket.
This dress is not only sleeveless, it is less than sleeveless.
Are all the events she attends sleeveless 'informal'?
GEESH, What is next? Michelle
Already has to show off her arms.
maybe this was what he promised Michelle
when he becomes president: A trip to New York and for the girls a doggie.
I see Michelle Obama
as an arrogant bitter black woman with a chip on her shoulder.  There is no beauty that I see.  Her kids are cute though.
Oh, yes. Absolutely. Both BO and Michelle

I think Obama and Michelle are racist!
.
I think Michelle/Obama are racist

And the McCain/Palin ticket have not/still continue to show racism?? The bottom line of all of the nasty hateful comments that I have seen on this board is that if  Barack Obama did not run for the President of this country, the majority of you whould't give a flying bobcat WHO he is. The number of hateful, bigoted, mean nasty comments I have seen on this board are more than enough to know that in 2008, hate, bigotry and racism have never died; it is displayed in subtle insidious ways - to any of those who care, it has been ONLY a little over TEN years since a black man was tied to the back of a pick up truck in Texas and dragged around so much he was dismembered..it is situations such as those which break my heart - a human being.  I will never understand it; and in this election the racism is extremely blatant. Not to mention the blatantly racist exhibition two white men decided to make money from - check You Tube under "Obama waffles" - look at how he is caricatured and then ask yourself WHAT is racist...

same here....I wonder what Michelle Obama thinks
she knows Biden does not care for her husband and has actually said he is not the man for the job of President. Boy, that must be a tense/false/forced smile when they get together.
Michelle Obama said don't believe the polls.
She said its too close to call right now.

Also there are over 11% who are still undecided.
What did you think about Michelle Obama's dress?
Just wondering
Actually, he and Michelle DID make these decisions.
This was made very clear with respect to the previous "giftgate" situation. You have to understand that Michelle Obama, in particular, is an angry woman who hates Great Britain for it's ancient role in the slave trade a few hundred years ago.
Michelle Malkin is great! You just cant

Hmmm...Michelle Malkin...(sm)

You may as well have posted something from Limbone.  What a joke.

Oh, btw, what's your solution to the healthcare problem?

Not laughing. I like Michelle Malkin.

I read somewhere Michelle Malkin is depressed about this.sm
She is worried Willis' brain has turned into oatmeal. Funny, Willis was or is a conservative but since the article claims he's not in complete goose-step with the Bush administration he's a loony liberal.

According to an article by G. Greenwald:

It used to be the case that in order to be considered a liberal or someone of the Left, one had to actually ascribe to liberal views on the important policy issues of the day...Now, in order to be considered a liberal, only one thing is required – a failure to pledge blind loyalty to George W. Bush. The minute one criticizes him is the minute that one becomes a liberal, regardless of the ground on which the criticism is based. And the more one criticizes him, by definition, the more liberal one is. Whether one is a liberal -- or, for that matter, a conservative -- is now no longer a function of one’s actual political views, but is a function purely of one’s personal loyalty to George Bush.

Ain't that the truth.

Michelle's Boot Camp for Radicals

Michelle's Boot Camps For Radicals

By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Thursday, September 04, 2008 4:20 PM PT

Election ང: Democrats' reintroduction of militant Michelle Obama in Denver was supposed to show her softer side. But it only highlighted a radical part of her resume: Public Allies.

IBD Series: The Audacity Of Socialism

Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993. Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls his Orwellian program, "Universal Voluntary Public Service."

Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas. They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they'll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of "social change."

The pitch Public Allies makes on its Web site doesn't seem all that radical. It promises to place young adults (18-30) in paid one-year "community leadership" positions with nonprofit or government agencies. They'll also be required to attend weekly training workshops and three retreats.

In exchange, they'll get a monthly stipend of up to $1,800, plus paid health and child care. They also get a post-service education award of $4,725 that can be used to pay off past student loans or fund future education.

But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about "social change" through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul "The Red" Alinsky.

"Our alumni are more than twice as likely as 18-34 year olds to . . . engage in protest activities," Public Allies boasts in a document found with its tax filings. It has already deployed an army of 2,200 community organizers like Obama to agitate for "justice" and "equality" in his hometown of Chicago and other U.S. cities, including Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Washington. "I get to practice being an activist," and get paid for it, gushed Cincinnati recruit Amy Vincent.

Public Allies promotes "diversity and inclusion," a program paper says. More than 70% of its recruits are "people of color." When they're not protesting, they're staffing AIDS clinics, handing out condoms, bailing criminals out of jail and helping illegal aliens and the homeless obtain food stamps and other welfare.

Public Allies brags that more than 80% of graduates have continued working in nonprofit or government jobs. It's training the "next generation of nonprofit leaders" — future "social entrepreneurs."

The Obamas discourage work in the private sector. "Don't go into corporate America," Michelle has exhorted youth. "Work for the community. Be social workers." Shun the "money culture," Barack added. "Individual salvation depends on collective salvation."

"If you commit to serving your community," he pledged in his Denver acceptance speech, "we will make sure you can afford a college education." So, go through government to go to college, and then go back into government.

Many of today's youth find the pitch attractive. "I may spend the rest of my life trying to create social movement," said Brian Coovert of the Cincinnati chapter. "There is always going to be work to do. Until we have a perfect country, I'll have a job."

Not all the recruits appreciate the PC indoctrination. "It was too touchy-feely," said Nelly Nieblas, 29, of the 2005 Los Angeles class. "It's a lot of talk about race, a lot of talk about sexism, a lot of talk about homophobia, talk about -isms and phobias."

One of those -isms is "heterosexism," which a Public Allies training seminar in Chicago describes as a negative byproduct of "capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy and male-dominated privilege."

The government now funds about half of Public Allies' expenses through Clinton's AmeriCorps. Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it into a national program that some see costing $500 billion. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the military, he said.

The gall of it: The Obamas want to create a boot camp for radicals who hate the military — and stick American taxpayers with the bill.

Has anyone heard about Michelle's college thesis?
I got an email yesterday talking about Michelle Obama's college thesis.  I actually read most of her thesis.  I had to click on a couple of links to see the actual copy of the thesis, but I just wondered if anyone else had read this, heard about it, and what they thought on the subject.  I know it was stated that Princeton was not to release her thesis until after the election.  Not sure who requested that or why, but after reading it I would assume it was her husband's campaign that requested it not be brought out before election and I could see why.  I was a little unnerved by her thesis.  Just curious what others thought.
Even Michelle Malkin does not believe this story is true!
I hate to say "I told you so," but...

Kaydie's Michelle Obama comment
I am still waiting for your answer.  When you claimed you weren't a racist, yet in your next paragraph you said "Michelle Obama does not talk like a black woman," what do black women talk like?
And Michelle Obama has made it clear

that her children come first.  From what I've personally seen, I can't imagine those parents allowing ANYTHING or ANYONE to harm their children and that all they want for their children are bright, healthy, prosperous futures -- just like all American parents do.

Yet, some people on this board even want to suggest that getting these girls a PUPPY is something evil with questionable motive.  It's just unbelievable!
