Oh good grief....Bill Maher will say ANYthing...

Just saw a clip where he was talking to Jon Corzine (gov NJ) about the media lovefest with Obama...and Maher says something about it the media loving him but then says:  "but those guys over at MSNBC (Olbermann and Matthews), they act like they want to have sex with him."  Geez.  People really think this guy is funny.  But at least I have to admit it wasn't a conservative he was sniping at this time...still doesn't excuse it.  Although Matthews' tingle up the leg statement made a lot of people raise an eyebrow.  They said it was on the internet.  I saw it on TV but have not looked on the internet.  Good grief.  Sigh.

Bill Maher Takes On Bill O'Reilly

BILL O'REILLY, HOST: In the "Personal Story" segment tonight, political humorist Bill Maher (search), he has a new book out called "New Rules: Polite Musings from a Timid Observer." Of course, Mr. Maher is about as polite as I am and as timid as Dracula. He joins us now from Los Angeles.

You know, you've had some celebrities on your HBO show, "Real Time," which begins again on Friday, talking about policy and war on terror and stuff like that. I get the feeling they don't know very much, but you do. So I'd like to make Bill Maher, right now, the terror czar. Bill Maher, the terror czar. Could be a series.

How would you fight this War on Terror? How would you fight it?

BILL MAHER, HOST, HBO'S "REAL TIME": I think the first and most important thing is to get the politics out of the War on Terror. You know, maybe I'm a cockeyed optimist, Bill, maybe I'm naive, but I thought that 9/11 was such a jarring event that nobody would dare return to business as usual on that one subject after that.

But of course, we found out that nothing could be further from the truth. And your president, my president too, but the one you voted for...

O'REILLY: You don't know that. Were you looking over my shoulder there? I could have voted for Nader. I could have voted for Kerry, but Kerry wouldn't come on the program, so I wouldn't vote. But I could have gone for Ralph. Ralph's a friend of mine.

MAHER: Yes. Anyway, I said the guy you voted for, President Bush, you know, how come this guy, who was supposed to be such a kick-and-take- names kind of guy, how come he has not been able to get the politics out of this?

You know, as a guy who's been accused of treason, I'll tell you what real treason is: Treason is when legislators vote against homeland security measures because it goes against the wishes of their political or financial backers. Treason is the fact that, as a terrorist, you could still buy a gun in this country because the NRA (search) lobby is so strong.

O'REILLY: OK. But you're getting into the political, and I agree with you. I think that the country should be united in trying to seek out and kill terrorists, who would kill us.

But I'd like to have some concrete things that you, Bill Maher, the terror czar — and take this seriously, this could be a series — what would you do?

All right, so you've got bin Laden. You've got Al Qaeda (search). You've got a bunch of other lower-level terrorist groups. What do you do to neutralize them?

MAHER: OK. Well, first of all, you discounted my answer, which is get the politics out, but OK.

O'REILLY: Well, assume you can do that. They're gone.

MAHER: We'll let that go. Keep going. I wouldn't worry that much about bin Laden. I mean, capturing bin Laden at this point, it doesn't really matter whether he's dead or alive. He's already Tupac to the people who care about him and work for him. Capturing bin Laden, killing him would be like when Ray Kroc died, how much that affected McDonald's.

O'REILLY: It would be a morale booster. But I understand. You're not going to send...

MAHER: A morale booster, right. Well, we've had plenty of morale boosting. We've had plenty of window dressing. What we need is concrete action.

In the book I wrote before this one about terrorism, I suggested that we have a Secret Service for the people. I said whenever the president goes anywhere, he has very high-level, intelligent detectives who look around at a crowd. They know what they're looking for. They're highly paid. They're highly trained.

We don't have that in this country. We should have that. We should have a cadre of 10,000 highly trained people who would guard all public events, bus stations, train stations, airports — and stop with this nonsense that this robotic sort of window dressing...

O'REILLY: OK, so you would create a homeland security office that was basically a security firm for major targets and things like that. It's not a bad idea. Costs a lot of money. Costs a lot of money. It's not a bad idea.

MAHER: Costs a lot of money compared to what? If you paid 10,000 people a salary of $100,000 a year, that would, I think, cost $10 billion or something. That's nothing. There's that much pork in the transportation bill before you get...

O'REILLY: Yes, 10,000 wouldn't do it, but I get your drift.

MAHER: Whatever it costs.

O’REILLY: You would create a super-security apparatus. OK, that's not bad. That's not bad. How about overseas now?

MAHER: What we need to do is what I call get Israeli about this. Because the Israelis are not afraid of profiling. The Israelis are not afraid to bury politics in the greater cause of protecting their nation. We don't act that way. You know, I'm afraid 9/11 really changed nothing.

O'REILLY: Boy, your ACLU (search) pals aren't going to like that. You're going to lose your membership card there.

MAHER: I'm not a member of the ACLU.

O'REILLY: Oh, sure you are, just like I voted for Bush. You're a member of the ACLU. I can see the card right in your pocket there.

MAHER: Bill, I'm not a joiner. I'm not a joiner. I don't like organizations.

O'REILLY: They won't have you, Maher, let's be honest about that. All right, now, in your book, which is very amusing, by the way — if you want a few laughs buy Maher's book.

MAHER: Thank you.

O'REILLY: You take some shots at FOX News, which is your wont, and I just want to know why you think we're so fabulously successful here.

MAHER: Well, I think that question has been answered many times. It's because the conservative viewer in this country, or on radio the conservative listener, is very predictable. They like to hear what they like to hear. They like to hear it over and over again.

O'REILLY: All the surveys show that the viewers are all over the map. They're not conservative in a big bloc. Some of them are moderate. Some of them are Democrats. Some of them are Moroccans. I mean, they're everywhere. That's your analysis? That just the conservatives watch us?

MAHER: Well, I think mostly the conservatives do watch you. That's not to take anything away from what you guys have achieved over there. It's a very well-produced broadcast, and they have excellent personalities like yourself, Bill. Who could resist watching you when you get home from work at night?

O'REILLY: Whoopi Goldberg, maybe? I don't know.

MAHER: Yes.

O'REILLY: Anyone who doesn't watch here is misguided. We identify them as such.

But look, I think there's more to it than — you're in TV. You know the ratings game. I mean, if you don't provide a product that is satisfying people, no matter what your ideology, they tell you to take a hike.

There's a guy over at MSNBC. He's a very conservative guy. He was hired and nobody's watching him. They hire liberals. Nobody watches them. Air America (search). Nobody's listening to it.

I mean, there's got to be a reason why we're No. 1, a punch line for you, and No. 2, you know, becoming the most powerful news network in the world.

MAHER: Well, I think, as I say, it's a well-produced product. You know, your program moves along, always at a clip that never seems to bore. You know, you move along to the next topic, the next guest. It never sort of drags. I don't think a lot of people know how to produce that stuff that way.

O'REILLY: All right. It's bells and whistles and my charming personality. That's what I thought it was.

Last thing: You know, one thing I like about Maher is he's not a hypocrite. He drives a little hybrid vehicle. Right? You putter around there. Does it have training wheels? What's it like?

MAHER: Actually, I had the Prius hybrid for three years. I was one of the first ones to get it right after 9/11. And I traded it in a few months ago for the Lexus hybrid.

O'REILLY: I think we should all cut back on our energy consumption, and I think we should all get these hybrids as fast as we can.

Hey, Bill, always nice to see you. Thanks very much. Good luck with the season on the TV show.

MAHER: Continued success there, Mr. No. 1.

O'REILLY: All right. Thank you.

Bill Maher
Great show last night! Loved David Frost. Couldn't get over West Clark saying that Middle Eastern women are content being forced to cover themselves from head to toe!

Live in San Francisco area so really want to get to LA for the taping of his show.
But then again, Bill Maher probably would have told him where he could...sm
go stick the Freakonomics book, and that would be the end of Bill on Fox. LOL.
Any Bill Maher fans out there?
Confessed HUGE fan ~ anyone catch last night's show?
saw him on Bill Maher and he scared me!!!

I agree with Bill Maher ...

He stated the American people have complained for 8 years how they hate the garbage we have been forced to eat.  It is highly unlikely that in November we would say, "Please, serve us more!"

I agree.  It doesn't have anything to do with whether I think McCain or Obama either one can actually do the job.  Their word and position choices are made right now based on whether it will help them in the election, not truly whether they feel passionate about the causes they are hailing.  In fact, their pasts demonstrate differently.

Their parties' actions are what I have to look at.  I am tired of the Republicans running us into the ground to make their millions at the expense of the very working class who put and keep them in business.

I'm tired of what the Republican party has put on the plate to feed us for 8 years straight.  Let's get a new chef!

Isn't the Bill Maher board missing you?

Bill Maher should move to Canada, but I would not

American Woman posts on Bill Maher
American Woman posts on Bill Maher.  I wish she would come back here.  I have asked her, through my posts.  Hopefully she will one day.  My family and I are okay.  Fires all around us and down near where we used to live in North Hollywood (Chatsworth area, where Lucille Ball and Desi had a home) but fortunately not up here in the Mojave Desert where we are now.  Thank you for your concern.  You are so kind. :O)
Get real. Alan Coombs has twice the intellect of Bill Maher. sm

There is no contest there.  The fact is William Bennett didn't deserve to be chastised and the fact that you still refuse to see that is glaringly apparent.  You see what he said as racist because you WANT to.  There is no other reason.  And that's too damn bad.  As I stated, I am mixed race.  I grew up with a whole lot of prejudice from BOTH sides, but I also grew up with parents who taught ME not to BE a racist.  People who look for racism in every single statement are what is dividing this country.  Any African-America who speaks up for Bennett will be labeled an Uncle Tom.  It has already happened. It makes me sick.

Oh good grief. nm

Oh good grief. SM
I also taught English as a second language in Greece and served with the Peace Corps and if you had been paying any attention at all, you would know that, but instead you are stuck on something I said that any military family would understand, but is stuck in your craw and you can't seem to hack it out.  Get over it.  I am talking about the PEACE CORPS this time.  Got it?
Good grief.

Good grief to you too
Good grief to you too..The liberals see what is going on..the neocons have their heads in the sand.  PERIOD.
Good grief. sm
Well, it's not every day one gets to see a supposedly grown person just implode all over the place.  Class obviously did not visit your gene pool.  RR is right.  This place needs an exorcism.
Good grief....

Wouldn't you say the mindset of the young depends on the conditions and need for the war?

I was talking about a mindset in general, Teddy.  You do not read my posts.  You pick a part that irritates you out of context and do not read the whole thing.  The mindset in the 40s was one of patriotism and fighting for your country, for freedom, for good if you will.  They also had a sense of honor and a sense of duty, and I am not sure you feel either.  However, I am sure that in every conflict there are those who do not agree completely with the reason they are sent.  But they go.  Because that is what they signed up to do.  Because that is what you do....your duty.  Because you are honorable.  But since you cannot or will not grasp that, talking to you is useless.  That was somehow lost from the 40s to the 60s, and THAT is what I was talking about.  You just read it the way you wanted to read it.  SO be it.  I was not condemning anyone.  They were the product of their generation and of liberal indoctrination in public schools.  That is an opinion, not a condemnation.  I already said in another post that I did not blame draft dodgers for dodging or running to Canada.  That is hardly condemnation.

That is what I was alluding to.

Pardon me if I cannot always figure out what you are *alluding* to.

In condemning this generation with their lack of morals you are also condemning soldiers in Iraq, I assume?  My belief is that if this country ever found itself in a dire situation that our young people would respond as needed.  Call me an optimist.  I cannot condemn a whole generation based on my version of what is moral and what isn't.

Again with the condemnation.  I did not condemn anyone.  Again with the inflammatory rhetoric.  I for one wish you would give the rhetoric a rest and just make your point.

As to the young people rising to the occasion....what in the world makes you think that those protestors in Washington would pick up throw down that sign and pick up a gun if we were attacked?  We WERE attacked.  On 9-11.  And how cavalier you are to just totally discount that and relegate those 3000 people to an oops.  The fact that did not start a deep anger at someone who would do that deep in your belly...well....I will not even go there.

I would say sending soldiers to die in an unnecessary war is immoral.

I would agree with you if I thought this war immoral.  I do not.  I thought it immoral to kill 3000 people in one day.  I find it immoral that you DO NOT find it immoral that 3000 people were killed in one day.  That you can discard that little fact and those people like yesterday's news.  LIke it never happened.  Or to suggest that it was an *inside job.*  I find that not only immoral, I find it, to use your words, *sick* and repugnant.

Lack of care for our country's poor and sick is immoral.

Lack of care of our country's poor?  We have more social programs for the poor than any other nation on earth.  Not only do we take care of our own poor, we try to take care of the poor in all over the world as well.  I hardly call that immoral.  If you think more needs to be done, take some homeless into your house.  Open a soup kitchen.  Hand out birth control to the third generation welfare families.  Give a job, not just a check.  Lobby for THAT in Washington.  Carry signs for THAT.

Little kids starving in our country is immoral.

Again, Teddy, there are programs out the kazoo to feed kids.  It is not my fault that food stamps are used to buy things other than food to feed the kids.  You should lobby to stop the graft in the programs that exist instead of complaining that there are not enough programs.  But that would actually mean getting involved, wouldn't it?.

Our treatment of minorities and your condemntation of all liberals is immoral.

Again with the condemnation.  Giving an opinion is not a condemnation.  And the incessant all liberals...  Please.  It is easy to group together, as I said, because you all sing the same song.  And having an opinion is not condeming anyone.  Belitting, bashing, holier-than-thou attitude IS condemning.  And you do it constantly.

I believe that not only is abortion immoral, but many other things, too.

You may also blindly support our military, no matter what it is sent to do.  I don't.  I'm not a fool. I will not comment on that, lest I be banned.

I would not have supported our military slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Native Americans in the 1800s, or supporting the slavery trade indirectly.  I would have applauded and supported any soldier who went AWOL, any demonstration against this military action.  Unlike you.

What does this conversation have to do with military slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Native Americans?  And to intimate that I would support that....I am of Native American ancestry and I do not feel I have been mistreated.  I cannot change the past, but I can certainly try to learn from it.  You seem incapable of doing that, and that makes sense, when it has been rewritten in the schools and...enough of that.  I am talking to the wall.

As to supporting the slave trade indirectly.....do not know what you mean, but the Democrats supported the slave trade directly and vigorously.  And it took the Republicans from the Civil War until the Civil Rights Act LBJ finally signed to make that right, despite strong Democrat resistance.  There is one for you to be proud of.

Yes, you are correct.  I would not be proud of a soldier who went AWOL.  However, I would not condemn him either.   I have said so on this board before, you just did not read or refuse to remember it.  All I said on this board regarding THIS war and THESE troops was, this is a war that our Congress authorized, that our President sent troops to fight, and we owe those troops our support.  They are there out of honor and duty.  If you have a problem with the decisions made that put them there, go ahead and castigate Bush, but castigate the Congress too, because it is as much their fault as the President's that soldiers are in Iraq.  DO NOT castigate the mission, because when you do, you are castigating the soldiers.  I did not agree with the dodgers and the runners in the 60's either.  But I did not then, nor now, condemn them as you so eloquently keep putting it.

But you see, I have common sense.

Well, I beg to differ.  To me you have zero common sense.  So it is a matter of opinion, again.

I cannot argue or debate with  someone who doesn't have it.

My thoughts exactly.

You have a blinding anger toward Democrats and liberals.

You keep saying that.  I have no blinding anger toward anyone.  Your anger at me blinds YOU, and you go off on a rant at everything I post.  If I was standing in front of you, you would probably slug me.

You have no use for the truth.

The truth....now there is a relative term in your world.

I am sure this is not the first time you have been told this.

Ummm.  Nope, you have lectured me before and probably will again.  But you are the only one who seems to think I am a demon from the nether world.

The rest of your post is so twisted and lacking common sense, even to insulting a person for reading books (heavens, we wouldn't want to educate ourselves -- another fear of the conservative posters) that it isn't worth my time to answer.

I did not insult you for reading books.  All I asked is did you have an opinion that was your own.  You answered my question...a big resounding NO.

Please read Lurker's post.  You will deny it's accuracy, I'm sure.

I read Lurker's post and responded.  You should quit invoking Lurker, though....you two are nowhere near in the same league.  Not even close.

As far as Ann Coulter, someone posted that the liberals had written and said terrible things also.  Indeed they have.  But Ann's article was posted on the conservative board as a fine and shining example of conservative wit and intelligence.  In reality, it was one of the smuttiest and sickening things I have read in a long time.

You posted a couple of pretty smutty remarks yourself, Teddy.  You are attacking me like I am your mortal enemy instead of another American just posting my opinions.  Which I have the right to have, if you remember.  As I have said on numerous occasions, I do not always agree with the way Ann Coulter says things.  But she is no more virulent than you have been, and would be, if you were not constrained by the moderator.

I don't recall any liberal posters crowing over such liberal trash on this board.  They seem to be a pretty moral group over all, and a group that's got a lot of common sense, most of all.

Well, you have a short memory.  Before they were moderated, there was a lot of trash, hateful, nasty, smutty you name it posted over there and there was a lot of crowing....until the board monitor said that kind of thing would no longer be tolerated.  But, IN MY OPINION, that is another thing that many leftists/liberals/Democrats/whatever they are calling themselves this week who post here have in common....selective memory.

Oh, good grief. sm

Some anonymous person writes an article and you believe every word of it.  Come on.  Clinton has made some perceived racial comments lately.  Let it go.

Good grief. nm

Good grief. nm

oh good grief

Now we're gettin' the bloody biographies of the guy and girl who don't even belong the designated group for this board.  I beat my breast and cry with horror, "will this too-much-information  never end?"

Oh good grief....
the mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, a black man, caused more problems for New Orleanians pre-Katrina and after Katrina than George Bush EVER did. George Bush appointed a black woman secretary of state. No racist would EVER do that. Geeezzzz. lol.
Good grief....
Wow. After a title of cease fire, all that lecturing and this:
"If you could stop slaying the messenger long enough to hear the message, you would understand that there is nothing condescending about wanting to engage in informed debate that orients itself around reaching mutual respect and understanding. It has absolutely nothing to do with being angry or feeling superior."

Okay...I guess the time you were angry and feeling superior is when you told me you had to get down in the dirt to my level...? Does this approach to the olive branch work for you often...? ;)

Sorry, trotter, hard to buy the olive branch at the end after the lecture in the preceding paragraphs. I might buy the thing about affinity for words and vocabulary if they were not structured specifically to belittle your "opponent." Maybe you don't really realize how condescending it sounds and are sincere in your protests. Maybe you do and you don't care. I really don't know which at this point.

Don't know that meeting at the water cooler about any subject will work very well for us...lol. Because I will be woman enough to admit it even if you aren't...you do push my buttons. I don't normally do 5-paragraph volleys with anyone. But if there is anything that pushes my buttons it is that condescending attitude and talking down to people, and regardless of what you say, whether you mean it to be or not, that IS the perception it gives. I suppose you would like for me to believe that every other far left liberal I have heard use the same kind of rhetoric just loves vocabulary and "there is nothing condescending about wanting to engage in informed debate that orients itself around reaching mutual respect and understanding. It has absolutely nothing to do with being angry or feeling superior." Because, frankly, they all sound the same and it appears obvious ot me that they are all very angry and need to feel superior. Not meaning it as a slam...that is the perception. You have yours of me that I think is totally wrong...you think the perception I have of you is totally wrong. Don't think that is going to change. Maybe difference in parents, the way we were raised, the people were were raised around...I come from a rural background and I am proud of it. I have worked the dirt, so you saying you have to get down in the dirt to my level...well, that is more of a compliment than the disparaging and demeaning remark you meant it to be. I am proud of my roots. You do not have to come from a major metropolitan area to be informed. I have learned a great deal about Mexican immigrants from talking with, working with, and going to school with the ones who came across the border and worked hard, took the road to citizenship, and were proud as they could be to hold up their hand and take the oath of citizenship. Those immigrants became immigrants like the rest of us...citizens of the melting pot that is America and what makes her great. They are proud, hard-working people. And they are not hyphenated Americans. They are Americans, period. They don't want to be referred to as hyphenated Americans...and will be the first to tell you so. And they are as vehemently opposed to illegal immigration as I am, because they know what harm it does to their country. So, you will not convince me that we should extend the rights of citizens to illegal immigrants. Especially by talking down to me and slapping me up side the head with your vocabulary.

Also, frankly, don't get your references to the DAR. I am way too much of a "mutt" to get within shouting distance of the DAR. And I don't see "mutt" as a disparagement. I am a mutt. I am a mixture of many nationalities. It makes me who I am, and if that makes me a mutt in the eyes of the DAR, they should just look the other way while they drink their tea. You wanted to lump me in with them and if you think you and I are light years apart, the DAR and I would be even MORE so.

I am not interested in racial purity. I am interested in all of us, every one of us, left, right, up down and sideways; black, red, yellow, green or polka-dotted; Muslim, Christian, Mormon, or three-eyed goat worshippers...I want to see us like the first Americans were and America while I was growing up...that being Americans is what bound us together. Has nothing to do with multiculturalism...it was a feeling of no matter what..rich, poor, uptown, downtown, midtown and boonies...we were all Americans. THAT is what I am talking about. So when the chips are down we can forget petty differences and stand shoulder to shoulder if need be....and in these times, it might just need be.

To put it simply...remember the day after 9-11, when COngress, liberals, republicans, indepdents, stood on those capitol steps and sang God Bless America and MEANT it. That is the America I knew and grew up in. That is the America I learned about in history, that I love. THAT is what I want back. That is what I want us to feel as Americans. That unity. And I don't want a disaster to have to happen to remind us. That is something you feel at gut level. That is what I feel about being an American. America is a melting pot and they called it that for a reason...as I said, immigrants leave their countries for a reason...in days past it was for the dream of America, and becoming an American. I do not know what happened to that...but I mourn its passing.

And if that is wrong...so shoot me. Just leave me down here in the dirt at my level. lol. I am quite content down here.

So, okay trotter, cease fire as you say. As to the next time we meet at the water cooler...let's just cross that bridge when we get to it.

I believe you when you say you enjoy my posts...but the source of that enjoyment leaves some room for speculation. ;)

And, as to the job search...there are good MTSOs out there. I found one on my last job search. Here's hoping you find one on yours.
Good grief.....
I'm always amazed at how hateful democrats are to the other point of view.

Simply amazed.

Good grief is right.

Good grief.
Address the topic at hand and stop trying to play "But she hit me first" and "But they did it too." You sound like my 1st grader, and it doesn't get her anywhere with me either.
Good grief! (sm)

Do you people even understand what the term *discussion* means?

No, I didn't start the "i don't like people who disagree with me" thing.  I simply pointed out another point of view.  Why?  Because this board is for political discussion.  If we all agreed on everything, there wouldn't be much to talk about now would there?  I believe both of you have missed 3 important points in this thread.

1.  Arguing is not conducive to discussion.

2.  For every video such as the one posted by the OP, there is another one just like it (from a soldier) with the opposite opinion, as well as information concerning the lack of information provided to active troops.

3.  My posts are FOR our troops in that I would like to see them come home instead seeing them (as well as Iraqi civilians) die because of people making up more excuses for an unjust war.

good grief

calm down with ALL THE CAPS AND the !!!!!!!!!  You're going to have a spasm.

Good grief...(sm)

Who cares if he was talking about how she looked or if it was her voice.  Either way, he was insinuating that she was a witch.  It was rude and obnoxious -- which his normal for him.  Do you think that was an okay thing to do?

The thing that you can't seem to get is that Sarah Palin has absolutely nothing to do with it, and whether or not this other girl defended Palin has nothing to do with it.

I bet you have a picture of Bill-O on your night stand, doncha?  You can admit it.  We won't laugh at you too much.  LOL.

Good grief!
opened his mouth in front of a foreign audience and NOT apologized?  One can apologize without ever uttering the words  ''It was my fault and I'm sorry.''

My kid hit a baseball through your picture window.  He was careless and I will punish him appropriately.  I will pay for the damages.  Bobby, tell the man you're sorry.

My company cut corners and broke the law under previous management.  This was regrettable.  It's so hard to get good help.  Now that there is competent management (me) running things, it will never happen again.

My country has a history of being arrogant and dismissive...blah...blah...unjust.. blah... blah...war of choice...blah....blah...US is a Muslim country...consuming too much of the world's resources...  That was then, this is now.  I am in charge and we will be more sensitive to the feelings of the international community... blah...blah.

These all sound like apologies to me.  The last two mixed with a good measure of grandstanding and chest pounding.

Good grief! You're right.

This IS scary!

I keep hearing how our soldiers are fighting so Iraqis can be free like Americans.

I wonder if anyone bothered to tell them what the Bush definition of freedom really is.  Obviously, nobody really bothered to tell Americans.

Good grief, talk about over the top.

good grief, what a reach...lol nm

Good grief! and under the "oversight" of the UN...
we already know how corrupt that organization is. This is an example of his judgment...or the lack thereof.
Good grief is right. I just wanted to

read any cases he cited myself because this is a very gray area  and I would like a better understanding of the law.

Excuse me for asking for cases.

Good grief--Why worry about what

Good Grief, What are you talking about?
I never posted earlier
Good grief gertie

I am quite sure that if that tape t actually even exists it shows absolutely nothing that would be of value for John McCain.  What I would like to know more about is McCain chairing the organization that gave millions to the same organization that allegedly Obama was "palling" with.

I've been "palling" with MTs for nigh onto 50 years and for the most part I've found they are very inquisitive, read a lot and speak with some sort of rational arguments.  What on earth is the world coming to.  It's like a broken record....Ayers....terrorists....socialism....shady "tapes"....and not an iota of proof of any of it.

Good grief. Do you even listen to yourself?
It's a 'cover-up' because it was dismissed due to the fact they've proven time and again he's a citizen? The courthouse has his original certified birth certificate, a birth announcement from the newspaper archives, and everyone there at the time who remembers the family when he was born. It keeps getting dismissed because IT'S A NON-ISSUE and a dream of the tin-foil-hatters. It's like someone deciding to prove you weren't born here -- they can try all they want, but it's not going to happen. I for one welcome you all to scream it from the rooftops and waste your money because you keep proving time and again the mentality of the republican base & discrediting yourselves, and I for one find it hilarious.
GOOD GRIEF! FINALLY!!!
Excellent post.  That's what I've been trying to say all along, but it's fallen on deaf ears.  Thanks for doing a better job than I could do.
good grief to you, these are not apologies...nm...........nm

Now THAT is a freaky post. Good grief....
I may be giving the poster too much credit, but I don't think they were inferring literally that obama and biden are connected with osama bin laden. But if you say the two fast together they sound like each other and that's freaky...as in freaky funny, not freaky if you elect him you are getting someone with ties to bin Laden. If it was posted about McCain you would be laughing right along instead of scrambling for a comeback. LOL. Don't make it more than it is by taking it so seriously...lol.
Wow! If this isn't mind control I don't know what is...Good Grief! NM

ROFL. Second coming. Good grief! nm

Good grief....talk about misleading....
economic ruin? Look again at the first 4 years after we were attacked. The economy COULD have crashed, but it did not. We had record low unemployment and the economy GREW during those 4 years. What is happening now has nothing to do with 9-11. It has to do with relaxing borrowing standards on housing so that "everyone" could realize the "American dream" and whether or not they had a good credit history or could afford what they were signing on did not matter. Well come to find out, it did matter, when the floating interest rate kicked in and there were mass foreclosures, and rolling on from that the mortgage companies failing. That is what happens when you try to artificially encourage people to engage in things they cannot afford. Government should NOT do that, and that is what Obama wants more of...socialization. Here, let the government get you in over your head and keep you in that lower income bracket so you will keep voting for us because we promise we will get you out of the bracketbut somehow never do. Instead we shower you with gimmes to keep you there, instead of trying to help you OUT of there. sigh.
Good grief! What about the agnostic and atheist....
pedophiles? What a goofy post.
