I love to study Revelations

I have read many, many commentaries on Revelations  but I also enjoy researching and studying myself.  There are some, some I know personally, who sincerely believe McCain is the anti-Christ.  I don't believe that.  I do believe the anti-Christ is alive in the world today.  According to the Bible, even we believers will be deceived if it were possible.  We are to watch and wait.  Jesus tells us not to be afraid.  I'm here to tell ya I expect the Rapture at any minute and I also believe that some preachers will still be in the pulpits preaching, politicians will be politicing and they'll all be trying to figure out what happened to all those people. I would urge everyone to accept the free insurance policy offered by Jesus Christ.  If I understand anything in Revelations, it is that the end times are going to be so far worse than anything we can imagine, I sure wouldn't want to be left behind.  Anyone can't help but see if reading the New Testament through and seeking understanding, that the very end times are even now beginning to be played out and this is only the beginning.  This could not have possibly been prophysized 2000 years ago without divine intervention.......that makes total sense to me.

I used to didn't think so but I am beginning to think the U.S. will play some kind of major role in the end times, either that or we will all be brought to our knees.  EVERY knee shall bow..............the thing is, will Jesus be our defense lawyer when we stand before God or will He be our prosecuting attorney?  It'll be one or the other.  My heart breaks for those who hear and refuse to believe.

Revelations, King James Version

The book of Revelations was written thousands of years ago.
Why do you think it pertains in any way to our time and not to the time in which it was written? Why do people think it is some sort of prophecy for their particular lifetime? Does no one study the history of the bible anymore? I am so saddened and appalled by the lack of theological and historical education in churches. If people don't even understand the documents of their own faiths, then there is never any hope for understand people of another faith.
O was wise ... wait... wait... I'm rolling in the aisle.

Osamabama 'distances' himself from every lame association he ever had with his rat pack of radical nut job friends.

And if he's lucky enough to get elected, he's going to distance himself from his fawning flock as soon as his advisors tell him there's no way in hades to pay for his free po'folk tax cuts he promised without throwing the economy into the tank.
after Monday I

suppose they will have to revert to the rapid approach of the rapture or some such.  Or more topically, the War Against Christmas.  It is a shame there are no patriots outside the democrat party anymore . . .

No it was a fundraiser in Miami on Monday
It is usually buried in the articles about Obama's fundraiser. Was at Miami Intercontinental Hotel and Palin was not there.
Ha!! Best thing I've seen since Monday...lol nm
x
Whoops, that was Tuesday, Monday is MLK day - sm
another thing is all the people who will end up getting ripped off buying fake "tickets" to the inaugeration. I am sure there will be many. Good point made by thinkalike, all this is costing us taxpayers even more, and put the country even more in the hole.
McCain's fundraiser on Monday was $50K a ticket . . .
for a measly buffet dinner. At least the dems got Barbra at a bargain price of $30K comparatively.
McCain drops further in polls Monday.

Bush says rebates going out Monday will boost economy
Bush says rebates going out Monday will boost economy

By TOM RAUM,

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush said tax rebates will start going out Monday, earlier than previously announced, and should help Americans cope with rising gasoline and food prices, as well as aid a slumping economy.

Democrats said they were glad the rebate checks were about to go out, but suggested that multinational oil companies were not among the businesses the stimulus package was originally designed to help.

"Starting Monday, the effects of the stimulus will begin to reach millions of households across our country," Bush said Friday in remarks on the South Lawn of the White House.

Those first rebates will be directly deposited into people's bank accounts. The Internal Revenue Service had been saying direct deposits wouldn't start until next Friday. Bush said paper checks would begin going out on May 9, a week earlier than previously announced.

"The money is going to help Americans offset the high prices we're seeing at the gas pump, the grocery store, and also give our economy a boost to help us pull out of this economic slowdown," Bush said.

Bush's emphasis on fuel and food prices differed from other comments he's made since signing the economic stimulus legislation, intended to aid the economy by boosting overall consumer spending - which accounts for roughly two-thirds of the nation's economic activity.

Bush has suggested the rebates could trigger a spending spree. "When the money reaches the American people, we expect they will use it to boost consumer spending," he said last month.

By saying expressly that people could use these one-time checks to pay for such necessities as food and gas, Bush underscored the deepening challenges facing the economy.

Democrats were quick to pick up on the change of focus.

"It's galling to think that taxpayers' stimulus checks will be lining the pockets of OPEC. The sad truth is that the average American family will spend almost their entire stimulus check on higher gas prices this year," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., chairman of the Joint Economic Committee of Congress.

OPEC is the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.

"Unless the administration gets OPEC to increase oil supply, American consumers are going to be in for a scorching summer of $4 gasoline with no relief in sight," Schumer said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., agreed that people "need this rebate to cope with the rising cost of gas and groceries." She said that, while the rebates would help to get the economy moving, there was a need for a second stimulus package "and we have begun some conversation with the administration and Republicans."

As he had earlier in the week, Bush used the word "slowdown" to describe the state of the economy. He has denied that the nation is in a recession, although many economists say it is.

"It's obvious our economy is in a slowdown. But, fortunately, we recognized the signs early and took action," Bush said.

The rebates - up to $600 for an individual, $1,200 for a couple and an additional $300 for each dependent child - are the centerpiece of the government's $168 billion stimulus package, enacted in February. Roughly 130 million households are expected to get them.

Bush made the comments before boarding his helicopter at the start of a day trip to Connecticut.

People must file a tax return for their 2007 income to be eligible for a rebate check.

The IRS now says all checks for those who filed tax returns on time are scheduled to be deposited or mailed by July 11.

The economy - burdened by the collapse of home prices, a financial and credit crisis, and now rising energy and food prices - grew at an anemic 0.6 percent in the final three months of last year and is believed to have gotten even weaker in the first three months of this year.

The government will report on the first quarter's performance next week.

With the economy faltering, the nation's unemployment rate has climbed to 5.1 percent, the highest since September 2005, when it suffered from the devastating blows of the Gulf Coast hurricanes. Job losses in the first three months of this year neared the quarter-million mark.

Foreclosures have surged to record highs and financial companies have taken multibillion losses on mortgage investments that soured. The situation has sent a tremor through Wall Street and has sent the administration, Congress and presidential contenders looking for ways to provide relief.

AP Economics Writer Jeannine Aversa contributed to this report.

I saw part pf Larry King Monday night.
He was trashing Palin and laughing at Stephanie Miller's really nasty jokes. The media have intruded into where they should have never gone. They have laughed and acted better than women from small town, kind of like Obama calling us bitter and clinging to our guns and God.She has been given the Bork and Clarence Thomas treatment. It is a very sad day for all women. They did this to Hillary, just not to the extreme in such a short time. The media really really want Obama to win.
YEAH!! You tell it girlfriend. My grammer police are at the door until Monday morning!

Wait, wait - see message
I see the cloud opening and a light coming through... maybe I'm going to have an epiphany and realized I should have voted for him all along. HA HA HA
And, of course, the libs never do that to anyone do they? sm

All libs, please read.
There are a number of trolls on here.  The best thing to do is not give in to the temptation to feed them.  If they are simply ignored, they will find somewhere else to go.  Get it?  I ask that you not respond to their posts.  It is even helpful to do a google and get the real definition of an internet troll and how to best deal with them.
and we don't have to be *tolerant* of libs
pushing their ideals down our throat or down our children's throats in public school either....
Oh, that's right, the libs are NEVER belittling...

you have had too much kool aid.

That's right, the libs never say anything inflammatory about anyone...nm
//
Just out of curiosity, where do all you libs think (sm)

the GOP folks you think are dying away or leaving are going?  Do you honestly think they're moving to the Democrat party?  Really????  Don't you realize that over the course of history the GOP and Dems have always had course corrections in their parties?  You do remember that MLK was a republican in the 60s, right?

I am proud to be a republican, but I know that my party is changing.  We don't have a solid front-runner. Palin (while I personally liked her) needs more experience before taking that high of an office.  Most of our most public figures are older white men.

Obama got elected on style.  He's a smooth talker, acts cool, and was different.  A slightly higher majority of Americans (and trust me, the election was not a landslide, only about 10% difference which ain't much) voted him in.  I don't like him.  He's obnoxiously arrogant, and I don't like him apologizing for our country.  Yes, Bush was arrogant too, but it was a different kind of arrogance.  He knew he was the leader of the most powerful nation in the world and I believed he did what he felt was best for our country.  While you all hated his reasons, I trusted him.

Obama, on the other hand, his arrogance is that he thinks he's better than the rest of us.  The attitude that comes across is one of we should just be happy to be in his presence.  He's book smart.  But his inexperience is obvious.  He's a puppet.  Just like you libs thought Chaney was pulling the strings, Obama is just the same.  It's obviously not Biden (good Lord, what an imbicile), but there are plenty of others behind the scenes pulling those wires.

All I'm saying is that I'm just going to watch and wait. My party will rebound and the Dems will eventually implode as is going to happen because each party always does.  You're partying now after your so-called 8 years of hell, but I'm just waiting.

I love it when the libs are wrong! NM

Libs cons. It's just an abbreviation. sm
We can help that their abbr. fits their party the best - cons. Nina may have convinced herself that she comes in peace just to debate, but there was no reason for her to blow up in response to your post here.
And the others are propaganda machines for libs...
to each his own, as you say.
Libs talking about themselves here, no doubt...sm
can you say....mud sling fest. all night long ????
The libs hate Ann Coulter because.....
She is thin, blonde, wears fur, and has a brain to go with her good looks. No fool that woman.
Right, funny to you, but hurts the libs
nm
You libs are as predictable as the tides. LOL nm
xxx
The old double standards. Libs hate it. sm
no way PR is on the WH staff, but just keep on talking. You just look more foolish all the time.  Chavez has been accusing the US of trying to off him for a long time.  PR was just echoing that, but who really cares.
Not in the real world of dems/libs who are
nm
Oh well. Looks like libs have fallen back into favor.
is how we stage our revolutions. This one is long overdue and while lamenting this cruel turn of events, you might want to ask yourself why all this is happening. Could it be that W, his cronies and right-wing fringers have overplayed their hand and the voters are fed up with lies, deception, misinformation, politics of fear, division and the culture war, and yet the McCain camp keeps right on keepin' on. When you do a poor job, you get fired. That's the way it works. Change is what they want and change is what they are going to get. We are getting ready to write a new chapter in our history that will move us far beyond that mentality and will thrust us onto the threshold of the post post-911 era. I can't wait to get started and thank God I have managed to live long enough to watch it all unfold.
That would explain why the libs were single-handedly
the rise of the Beat Generation, the counter-culture revolution of the 60s, the success of the civil right's movement and the VietNam, Gulf War and Iraq anti-war movements, not to mention the fact that they have been champions of all sorts of dissenting opinions/movements. Advocating for Palestinian statehood comes to mind.
Four libs against 1 conservative...wow....how biased can that show be...sm
...that show is a joke.
Do you know how silly the libs sound by blaming everything
that happened in the last eight years on Bush?

I predict, that Obama will not take responsibility for anything that happens in next two years at least, maybe four....it will all be Bush's fault in some way.

And those won't be my words. They will be Obama's words.

Wait and see.

How much confidence can you have in president who takes no personal responsibility, or a Congress that takes no personal responsibility in their own legislation, blaming Bush for their own bailout legislation that they wrote?

Dems always change the rules.

It's happening again, slowly and surely.

If you don't think libs hold the dems accountable
They are harsher in their criticisms than the conservatives.
Libs always attack messenger instead of message.
They forget that this is not Bush’s porkfest, it’s Obama’s, all trillion of it, and yes, there will be more.

They don’t want to be educated on the Bush tax cuts. Tax revenues increased between 2003-2007.

http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/87xx/doc8792/11-2007-MBR.htm

Go to the 'Receipts' table. This is a table showing how tax revenues increased between 2005-2007.

But I guess Democrats would say Dick Cheney sneaked into the CBO and changed the numbers.

How is it that Liberals claim to be able to read our minds? I would try to read a Liberal’s Mind, but I don’t like short stories, comic books, or things written in crayon. LMAO! HIC!"

Fox is the leader of the pack and it cheeses libs off.
CNN pays for ad time during O'Reilly's show. That just cracks me up.

Fox Rocks. Even CNN knows that. They're desperately trying to attract a few viewers by advertising during the Fox lineup.

You know how you hate it when conservatives paint libs with the same brush? sm
We don't like it either.
Who put the libs on this board in charge of free speech?
Joe has the right of free speech too. He asked a simple question, which Obama freely answered outlining socialism 101, and what did Joe get for that? A background check! And you can hail free speech and be okay with that in the same breath? Your hypocrisy is showing...and showing...and showing.

And you keep trying, and unsucessfully, to deflect from the true point. Understandably, because your focus is the big "O", the truthgiver, the one who will save the world. LOL. Free speech indeed. You don't believe in free speech unless it benefits you and the big "O."

Nothing in my post said anything about free speech. It just tried (and in vain I understand)...to stay on point...Obama's ANSWER.
Never mind, the no name posts explain it. You're just here to take a DUMP on the libs...nm

I know it's hard a concept for the dems/libs, but Rush says what he means.

He doesn't sugar coat.  He's got his problems, but he owns them.  He doesn't dance around them, sweep them under the carpet, double talk his way out of it.  I mean, we aren't going to wake up tomorrow and find out Rush has been hanging with terrorists, is a closet muslim, or the antichrist.

There's a certain honesty to Rush that some people like and others don't.

Yes..cant wait
Yes, soon.  Gonna be very interesting.
wait you said

6 or 8 or 10 times before you didn't care if he was a rock star.  I don't understand.  Plez elaborate why you don't care and what you think this means and how we can change it so that you DO care. Don't mince words, I want to know.

Oh, wait . . . I just got it
it is being written as Samonella, not Salmonella so it is jab at sam. My, oh my, what sensitive people.
Wait, did you actually just say this: sm
You wrote:
"Well, unlike some, I don't decide what to think depending on what the candidate I support says."

Oh sam, that is priceless. You slay me. You and Sarah Palin are both adorable.
But wait - there's more!
This is absolutely a fact - a fact that has been swept under the rug by the liberal media.  Actually, there are a LOT of facts that are swept under the rug, while we focus on the fact that Palin's daughter is pregnant, or that her clothes are too expensive, or her lack of experience (they conveniently avoid the fact that Obama was in congress 143 days, and most of the time didn't even bother to vote).  Do the American people know that there is a lawsuit pending regarding the fact that Obama was born in Kenya?  (His own family members have stated this fact). I doubt that little fact was leaked out to too many CBS or CNN viewers.  Do the American people know the magnitude of the fraudulent votes through the Democratic group Acorn (over 200,000 in Ohio alone!)  And one of the heads of ACORN insists this is not a ploy to win the election.  Oh really??  If this were a group of Republicans registering the dead and nonexistant to vote all he** would break loose.  But it's not - it favors the Democrats, so we'll sweep that under the rug, too...
Can't wait
Guaranteed, they'll turn on Obama. Personally, I can't wait. That is assuming we still have our first amendment rights.

Wait! We don't know if he's going to be
a great leader yet. I'm hoping so, and so does DH, but only time will tell.
BB I can't wait
to hear that explanation either.  I can't figure out whether some of these posters are mentally challenged or if they just believe everything they hear and "wish" would be true.  Trickle up poverty?  LOL  Might not do so much harm if some of the poverty trickled up to these bloated CEOs and politicians.  Might not hurt them any to go live in a trailer house for awhile and eat pinto beans.  ROFL at the very thought.  Doncha know they wouldn't like even middle class living let alone poverty.
He can't do everything in one day...wait and see what happens.
:)
Oh just wait
It is going to get much, much worse.  Hyperinflation is going to rear its ugly head here soon enough.
Just wait until they
start cap and trade.  If you think your utility bills are high now....just wait.  No one will be able to afford heat, light, etc.  It will double if not more.  Kinds of makes me wish I had a wood stove or fire place in my house just in case we can't afford heat during the winter.
