tide is turning
If the republicans keep being brought up on charges, which it seems will happen, LOL, this tide will continue to turn.  If the Libby situation continues for months on end, it will also affect the republicans chances next year and hopefully (now Im just dreaming) if Cheney is shown to have played a part in the outing of a CIA agent, this will really mean positive things for democrats.  I must state, my own feeling is Cheney, of course, was part of the outing of Valerie Plame, how could he not be?  His Chief of Staff is but not him?  Oh please.
Twisting and turning

Wouldn't you say the mindset of the young depends on the conditions and need for the war?  That is what I was alluding to.  In condemning this generation with their lack of morals you are also condemning soldiers in Iraq, I assume?  My belief is that if this country ever found itself in a dire situation that our young people would respond as needed.  Call me an optimist.  I cannot condemn a whole generation based on my version of what is moral and what isn't.  I would say sending soldiers to die in an unnecessary war is immoral.  Lack of care for our country's poor and sick is immoral.  Little kids starving in our country is immoral.  Our treatment of minorities and your condemntation of all liberals is immoral.  I believe that not only is abortion immoral, but many other things, too.  You may also blindly support our military, no matter what it is sent to do.  I don't.  I'm not a fool.  I would not have supported our military slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Native Americans in the 1800s, or supporting the slavery trade indirectly.  I would have applauded and supported any soldier who went AWOL, any demonstration against this military action.  Unlike you.

But you see, I have common sense.  I cannot argue or debate with  someone who doesn't have it.  You have a blinding anger toward Democrats and liberals.  You have no use for the truth.   I am sure this is not the first time you have been told this.

The rest of your post is so twisted and lacking common sense, even to insulting a person for reading books (heavens, we wouldn't want to educate ourselves -- another fear of the conservative posters) that it isn't worth my time to answer.

Please read Lurker's post.  You will deny it's accuracy, I'm sure.

As far as Ann Coulter, someone posted that the liberals had written and said terrible things also.  Indeed they have.  But Ann's article was posted on the conservative board as a fine and shining example of conservative wit and intelligence.  In reality, it was one of the smuttiest and sickening things I have read in a long time.  I don't recall any liberal posters crowing over such liberal trash on this board.  They seem to be a pretty moral group over all, and a group that's got a lot of common sense, most of all.

Twisting and turning

You have a need to twist and turn the truth and you appear to have little common sense or ability to see the big picture as far as humanity is concerned.  This may explain why you appear to have little to do with your time other than post incessantly and lengthily on a board where you are only interested in passive-aggressive attacks under the pretense of "trying to understand."

As far as your post where you perseverate to almost a frightening degree regarding my comment on your "rightwing rags" -- you know exactly what I'm referring to.  Just your comment alone about all the soldiers supporting the war and your questioning the poster about where they heard that some soldiers do not support this war --- that's a prime example.  A year or two ago when you'd post you'd simply cut and paste lengthy quotes from those right-wing publications I refer to.

Don't know why I'm having to tell you this.  I'm having to play your game and that's not a good idea as your rules aren't fair, or truthful some of the time.

Turning back the clock...

Funny how people like to apply today's current political issues to 25 year ago.  Are you old enough to remember our relations with Iran around 1979 and 1980?  The Ayatollah took over and during the 80s they expressed an interest in obtaining nuclear weapons.  So, we had to choose the lesser of 2 evils, Iraq.  You know, last time I checked the world has been fresh out of crystal balls for a very long time.  You like to live in a hindsight is 20/20 world.

And Teddy Roosevelt is turning over in his sm
grave about the so-called Republicans nowdays...
This board is turning ugly
Towelhead? Oreo? half-breed??

SHAME on you.

shame on you.
Someone help me quick, I think I am turning Republican!!!!.......psm
Okay, lifelong Dem, coming from a family of generations of lifelong Dems, loving my country and always supporting my party......I have been watching C-Span for many, many hours over the past few days....while I believe we have to save our economy (and our people) very quickly, with prudence and accountability, the pork grease that I see dripping off this bill, despite its good points, is making me ill.  Please, will some of the Democratic leaders cut the pork, cut the BULL, get down to the necessary and proven, INSURE AND GUARANTEE accountability in every area of this bill, and put my faith back?????  Wow, this Bill is starting to stink more than my Grandfather's dairy farm on a hot summer day, and for the same reason, lots of bull $h*t.  Help???  I like blue so much better!

I kept thinking to myself, by god I'm going to have the last word. HA HA - okay, I'd done feeling I need to have the last word. Too many other things to think about.
Then what are ya gonna do about the dems turning
nm
Then it sounds like things are turning
Perhaps you can stop with the yelling already. It can't be good for your health to get so wound up.
Even Obama's dems are turning on him right

You're right - the US is quickly turning into a total
.
Turning 60 this year and ready to PAR-TEEE.
to know my son will have a progressive and future-oriented leader looking after his best interests. To watch in horror as my own generational cohort sold out the American dream...maybe been around a little too long. In any case, I plan to stay up 'til the race is called and ring in the new era with a champagne toast to the dawn of better days to come.
Really well-said; subsidy and help is one thing, turning your nose up at....sm
honest jobs for your family and obligations is another, I guess because I came from a farming family and you did what you had to do to survive and took great pride in doing so....is all that gone with past generations?? I fear life has been way to easy and "instant" for far too many, they do not know the meaning of the word sacrifice, which was what helped bring the country out of the Great Depression. Good post!
I had that happen one time too...a post turning up missing. sm
And all I did was say I felt other posters were being too harsh. That was it. So I emailed the moderators and the reply I got was that if somebody complains about a post, then all the replies associated with that post are also deleted along with the offending post.

I hope this helps shed light on your missing post.
Yes, that's what you're doing. Predicting the future and turning a blind eye

Turning Obama's loss of his last living elder relative
Palin's handicapped child was being dragged out at all hours of the day and night to help gain that hockey mom family values gal political capital. No harm in pointing that out. Pregnant daughter used by the fringe camp as a convenient way to cry sexism foul and cop out on legitimate political debate on Roe vs Wade and birth control. Son and daughter are still among the living.

Obama's grandmother has been politicizd how? He credits her for instilling him with many of the values that drive him to seek office. She raised him during his moist formative years. She is DYING, for heaven's sake. Most human beings understand that grieving this kind of loss is off limits in terms of gaining political traction. This coming from the party that would shove their morality down our throats. I am so sure.
Not dim-witted, just clinging to false hopes, turning a blind eye to truth, and in for a big disappo

It was blue long ago and turning blue now thanks to OBAMA THE HERO
