Price of gas will be back to $4/gal. - and THEN some - by next summer. Oil co. CEOs are as bad as the Wall-Street $$-ho's.

if they can't afford their house, they should find one they can afford
and move out. End of story.
Yet another drive by?
Nothing to add.

It's true because what, you said so????
Wow, was that a drive-by?
Making a posting like that is pretty ignorant in my eyes...
You and your drive bys................sm
Let me lay this out for you.

The post that I responded to stated that this had nothing to do with the US which was a response to JTBB's post which said, and I quote: "No, this one lays directly at the feet of Bush. That makes 3 wars, an economic crisis and an environmental meltdown that he is now handing down."

So Bush was an element in this conversation.

Apparently it is you who cannot follow a discussion. Quit trying to play board police because you're doing a lousy job at it.

My guess is you probably drive one of
those gas-hog pickup trucks.  Gas for blood is not rhetoric -- why else would we still be there?  This country has an addiction far worse than any drug and it is time to give it up!!  You greedy pubs love consuming anything and everything!!
And, it is a very short drive!
xxx
Yeah, right. Take a look at your own drive-by.
Go take a long, hard look and then tell it to yourself. Maybe it will give you some insight into how you come across to the rest of the world.
You might try reading all the posts before you do your little drive-bys...
never said anything about "book learnin." What I said was I objected being talked to in a condescending and elitist manner. Never said anything about education...other than the poster I was referring to looked down on folks that she perceived was not as well educated as SHE was.

As to the Mein Kampf remark...too idiotic to even address. LOL. Geezzz.
Oh I see....just drive by and repeat the same opinions over and over.
Thank you for clarifying that for me.
I thought you hated drive bys>
xx
Another drive-by potshot over the bow...also infantile...but definitely, it appears...
your style. Sigh.
Robot's hard-drive needs rebooting.

Why don't you just climb into your Range Rover, drive
You obviously 'know', so just go take everyone by the and and lead them through it. Then, when you're all done, you can lie back on the genuine leather front seat, re-apply your lipstick, and have yourself a cigarette.

Gotta love these drive-by posts
I love when folks stop by here, post a quick blurb. Especially when they put in nothing to support it, and they expect everyone to take it as fact. I guess we are supposed to take everything posted as fact.
Devolving into personal slams in drive-bys usually indicates
you have nothing of substance to add, MS nm. Please indicate what it was in my 2-liner that you found so offensive.
JM does think they can afford to pay
nm
that's probably why I can afford them

We Can't Afford Not To
Tax cuts alone will not make a dent in our worsening economic crisis. I agree that the stimulus bill had to contain some tax cuts, if only to appease the Republicans. Do you agree that the stimulus bill should've actually been bigger than what was presented?

The last eight years of tax breaks for the wealthy has shown us that it just doesn't work.

The package has to contain both short-term and long-term stimuli to be effective. For example, infrastructure investment needs to be in building bridges and railroads, etc. As it stands now, it's for fixing potholes.

You may not "like the idea of our government controlling so much," but the alternative is a depression far worse than the Great Depression, with vastly more global political unrest on top of it.
With all due respect, Democrat, you have no idea whether the drive by posters sm
who post anonymously on the conservative board are not some who post here regularly. You just don't know that.  None of us (unless we are friends on the outside) know that about any of us.  So that's a little disingenuous.  Sometimes, I have sure felt like changing my initials to avoid posters who constantly slam me.  But I have found a better place to post.  Just dropped over for the day.  Have a good one.
Only drive-bys seem to be ruining perfectly adult conversations

We all were having good conversations and even adult disagreements until the usual drive-by suspects chimed in and make is a potty-mouth bash fest.  Democrat might have lost control a little bit, but we all do at some point.    You did your usual leftist troll duties by coming here and sabatoging and decent debates in process.  You are not a liberal.  You are someone who is so filled with hate that you cannot stand when conservatives and liberals are actually dialoguing.  Yeah, it gets heated, but you are not mature enough nor do you have substance enough to tolerate adult conversation.  You are a dive bomber, and you are the reason we have to be separated.

You and your minions are pretty sad people indeed.

"Danger, Will Robinson! Hard drive crashing!

Can we really afford to wait
until November to vote on this?  I don't think so.  Something needs to be done now.  I'm sure they will have a plan by the end of this weekend and it will be passed.
i can afford my mortage NOW
why not help those who are trying to help themselves instead of penalizing us? i would much rather see them do some sort of bailout this way rather than bailout these mortgage companies. We need to get this economy going and IMO this may be a solution. If our economy keeps going the direction it is headed, only the ones who are already sitting fat are going to be the ones not hurting. My family has been blessed. I have a good job, my husband has a good job... NOTHING IS SECURE though. Our 401k is going down, as is yours I'm sure. As I said, I would like to see a compromise that doesn't cost all tax payers major money... Let the mortgage companies take the loss.
Yes! Of course they should have done that all along - apparently now they can't afford it ...lol
x
Soon, Kool-Aid may be all you can afford.
nm
Nope. If you can't afford it, don't buy it.
If you can't afford decent housing without relying on government housing, food stamps, etc., don't buy those cars. When the cars die, you have nothing. When you have a decent place to live that you bought with your money, that's something to fall back on.
Can't afford it. Only own 2 pair. LOL (nm)
.
they can afford them over there, just not to employ
nm
I sure wish I could afford to buy a house right now!
Almost 1/3 of the houses in my small town that are for sale are foreclosed. They're all cute little Victorians, and I'd just LOVE to have any one of them.
if they could afford a television, they don't need a box!
the box is for older model TVs and for TVs where people don't use cable and still use an antenna.

My sister's mother-in-law's TV is 25 years old and she still uses it and still uses an antenna - she had to buy a box for her TV to pick up any stations. She would rather buy a box and use the working TV than throw it away and buy a new TV.
We couldn't afford for him NOT to run.
There is nobody else who could handle the multiple crises that President Obama is facing at this unprecedented time in our country's history.

The republican administration that has been in charge for the last 8 years practically destroyed this country from the inside out. Not to mention what he did to our internation image :-(

I, for one, am VERY glad that he decided that the country could not wait.
Geez, check rasmussen. Love these drive by potshots. lol. nm
nm
It common sense - if we can afford one
Simple as that.  You can twist it around as much as you want, but the truth is the money is there, and it is just about priorities.  I am not trying to personally attack you.  I have not resorted to childish name calling or anything like that, I just think your view is warped, and you obviously think my view is wrong, and we will obviously never agree on this issue.
What they couldn't afford was buying
that had no true value, and when the housing bubble burst, they were left holding worthless paper.
Ah, but will you be able to afford the electric bill?
I don't know about your utility bills, but ours are going through the roof lately.
Can't be too bad...you can afford a good Internet connection. sm
I have my doubts as to whether all your meals are hot dogs and mac and cheese, but I could be wrong....

....and there is work out there. You don't have to just sit there and let it dry up. And don't blame the 8 yrs of republicans. The last two years of democratic ruled Congress has been worse than the previous six before that.

You think you have it bad now.

Just wait till dems are in control of everything.

You'll have less than nothing, and have to give it away to others less unfortunate than yourself. However are you going to be able to afford that?
I STILL can't afford ten bucks for a loaf of bread...lol...not really lol..but ya know

Not jobs Americans dont want to do, but cant afford
nm
If bridge builders cannot afford the cost........ sm
of a movie ticket, then what good does it do to provide/create more jobs in that genre?

Folks are hurting and they can't afford their own homes, much less movie tickets and popcorn. I say let the movie industry take a little pay cut here and there and bring their multimillion dollar projects down to a more reasonable figure and bring the films in under budget.
The issue is really about the tax payers who cannot afford healthcare - sm

Many of them do end up on public assistance due to health issues after having gone for many years without healthcare.

Doom & Gloom: Drive the American economy into the dirt then present socialism as the only way out.
nm
I refuse to forget history...can't afford to be "condemned to repeat it"

He created this cluster with his cronies and they should be held accountable.

Republicans favor giving poor families subsidies to afford private schools. Obama opposed.
Yet Obama sends his daughters to a private school, 29,000 for EACH KID. Hypocrisy, here we come. Geesh, not even in office yet.
not avoid their rehab, afford their rehab....sheesh lol
I will correct myself before someone else does...lol
What's the matter?
Hit a nerve? Did I offend? Good.
What's the matter? No one is
week.....Camelot is coming apart!  Actually, glad to see the pubs are big enough not to be saying *told you so.*  Does all the questions about past associations make more sense now?  It just keeps getting deeper and deeper and dirtier and dirtier.  But, of course, if you have drank enough of the Obama kool-aid all of this too shall be whisked away.  I know, I know, let's just give him time.  He's going to make things better, yes he can!
What's the matter?
su
It won't matter which one. sm
Both are beholden to special interests and the ruling class. A lot of people are oblivious to it, but there is a ruling class. The candidate I supported did confirm this, and so do a few of the candidates running on the third party tickets. Ever wonder why things never change and get worse, this is why.

There is a diary by a blogger on Daily Kos that explains it very well. It is very informative and worth the read.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/7/27/65732/1557/694/557641

what does that matter?

My nieces and nephews are raised by their white mothers... my grandson is being raised by a white mother and a white grandmother and a white great-grandmother, my stepchildren are being raised by their white mothers - that does not change the situation of how the world views these kids...  and it does not change how they view themselves.  Every one of the mixed kids in my family has a different answer for whether they are white, black, or biracial, and their answer does not necessarily go along with the color of their own skin.

I also think that being raised by a "white" grandmother was part of Obama's problem.  She was an older generation, still scared of black people, and she was teaching Obama to be "white" and when he got older he realized that he was not "white".  Because he looks like a black man, he obviously feels what a black man feels because he is treated in the world as a black man.

Yes, mixed children are beautiful - but they are "different" than us in that they are neither white or black and they are treated differently for that reason.  I hope that changes before my grandchildren get older, but so far, they are still expected to conform to being white or being black...

If a mixed child acts white, he is accepted by the white kids and taunted by the black kids, if he acts black, he is taunted by the white kids and accepted by the black kids.  The mixed children have to be taught from birth that they are a mixture of 2 heritages and to embrace both of them; but at this point, they still choose one or the other.

you can think all you want.....it just won't matter with him
!!
It does not matter! It is just that a man has sex with
a woman and a woman has sex with a man.
This is it! And this is right and normal !
Anything else isn't.

How can the government legalize it when it is morally wrong.

Again: I wished Miss California had won.
