Obama is just trying to prepare folks for what is to come. He is not a cheerleader that is there to pep us up even if things are down. He has been elected to lead this country and he himself has said he would be very open and honest with us.

I don't want somebody in Washington who is acting like things are all great and bright at this moment when we who cannot pay our bills so obviously see that they are not. That would definitely undermine my trust in that person.

I think Obama still has hope for change - and that change does not mean the day he takes office then all of America's problems will suddenly disappear and we will have a whole new United States. It is going to take and effort, new policies, new direction - and that is what he has promised - not INSTANTANEOUS change!
