Unfortunately for you, my dear, your use of the expression "trailer trash" negates any of your statements as worthwhile. It's rather comical how you rant about the evils of someone with ambition and goals in one sentence, and then in the next sentence insult all those who live in a trailer park. I guess I'm guilty of a little prejudice myself, as anyone who calls anyone "trailer trash" I consider that person a "snob", and a much less desirable person than the one who lives in a trailer park. It's a juvenile and over-used term and actually reveals a flaw in YOUR character.

First off people who live in trailer's do not call them trailer's, they are mobile homes. I have friends who live in mobile home parks and they take offense when people say they live in trailers/trailer parks. They always shoot back, "this is a mobile home dear. The two are quite different". Trailer trash is a slang used for low class citizens, and they can live in any type of a dwelling, and everyone knows this. Calling someone trailer trash is not being a snob (I certainly do not have anything to be snobby about). It was just a more kind word than the one that describes what she really is. I also think being ambitious and talking about someone life being extinguished so you can just become president is two different things. That is not ambition. But I guess it's okay with you that one opponent gets their life extinguished so your "gal" gets in the White House. I just think its very disgusting that people think this is an okay way think and am ashamed our society has not progressed very far since the 50s and 60s. My other half said luckily it is a very small percentage of people who think this way so that is a good thing. Anyway...I can tell your a Clinton fan and think her behavior is acceptable. I on the other hand do not. And yes, I do have flaws to my character. It must be hard being so perfect, but one flaw I'm grateful to have (if you would call it a flaw) is I value the life of a human being and no election is worth what she and other people are thinking is okay.

I dress very nice and am appropriately dressed at all occasions, and I don't spend $150,000 a month, a year, and maybe even a lifetime. It is not necessary and it is wasteful! I think she can look the part without spending $150,000 and that is the bottom line - those clothes going to charity? It would have been better to take the $150,000 and given that to charity!

What really gets to me is how the politicians, news media and the public jump on the most stupid, trivial and riduclous things. Obama did not say Palin was a pig. He said you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig. If he really wanted to be insulting I suggest he might have said, "you can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear." McCain might say about Obama, "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck." Guess then the Dems would jump on that.
Will we EVER get to the important issues? I doubt it. Not until we follow in the footsteps of the Roman Empire.

One of my closest friends (20 years) is one. She's a doctor, and prefers to keep her sex life/orientation private, yet looks as feminine as the rest of straight ladies.
My personal trainer came out 10 years ago and fits the same template. The only exception is that she came out as a couple with another professional (a dentist).
Both of these very dear friends of mine are more happy than I've ever seen either of them, and their relationships have had more longevity than some marriages. It's not my deal, but I couldn't even imagine having not met these 2 wonderful friends.
My neighbor is a geologist and is very butch after having been married for 8 years. She's another friend of mine, so that obviously makes 3.
Does that help for a definition? I know it's only a small part of it, but we're all humans at the end of the day.

Maybe pit bulls with lipstick on are a bit more friendly. Lots of pit bull owners (those whose pits don't wear lipstick) end up in court. Just last week some idjit took her pit bull mommy with pups to the public park. Pit bull attacked an 80 some odd year old man who just happened to be walking past minding his own business. Haven't heard if the poor old fellow survived, last I heard he was in critical condition.
The county put the pit bull down, don't know what happened to the pups. If I were Palin I wouldn't want to associate myself with pit bulls with or without lipstick. That's all I gotta say about that......for now anyway.

Hate to break this to you, but a convention bounce in unreliable polls that change on a daily basis does not a catipult make. No party who plans to base a campaign on personality over policy can spin their way to victory in light of the dire situation we now face with the economy.
Dems get this much. Our job right now is to focus on the critical issues that we all share and to contrast the candidates' solutions to the problems that MUST be addressed. The question in the voting booth will be who can deliver the kind of change that is best for the nation and how far away can we get from W's mass descruction. 90% does not have a whole lot of political capital on that score.

The retreat snipe, like most of your rhetoric, was so predictable that I included a pre-emptive reference to it in the post... but you probably couldn’t recognize that either. Looks like you need someone to translate English into English for you. That would be the kick ‘em when they’re down reference. Let me break it down for you (AGAIN), to make sure this point does not go over you head.
I have no choice but to “retreat.” That would not be on account of “you win / I lose”....that’s your mentality, not mine. No white flag waving, no surrender in sight. Fact is, I have to look for a job. I will be the first to concede victory to you in the sense that it isn’t too hard to win arguments you will be having with yourself in my absence. So the kick ‘em when they’re down reference refers to taking advantage (i.e., taking the ball and running with it) of that imperative (needing to look for a job)....which is precisely what you are doing in this response.
I’m not going to explain this more than twice to you....that ought to be enough for you to grasp this basic concept. Pen names, aliases and assumed names are something I use within the CONTEXT (something you seem to hate as much as fact) of the post-at-hand. It adds a little dimension and intrigue to the board. Just a little innocent fun on my part and perfectly legitimate literary license. It’s done all the time. Don’t need to support those alternative viewpoints by inventing imaginary proponents as you would like to imply. Fact is, most liberals will not even bother with this type of “Sam and choir” forum. Aside from the job search, I had one of those life-and-death immigration fires to put out last night for a Somali woman, here illegally, trying to declare political asylum for herself and her two youngest daughters, ages 6 and 8, in an effort to spare them from female genital circumcision / mutilation, a fate she and her eldest daughter could not escape in time. Seems the visa quotas for Somalia are full for the next century or so. She needed help filling out some of the mountains of immigration paperwork. I kinda thought that was an issue a tad more important than swapping our latest round of whatevers. This reality check helped me decide that I really do have bigger fish to fry than this petty, pathetic, bickering banter.
Others in my “camp” believe bigotry deniers are just about one step under Holocaust deniers. WOT to “belabor” that issue one more second with you. Not bigoted against conservatives, but I will concede another point to you. I am bigoted against bigots. Not terribly fond of plagiarists either. Faxed a suicide note to the mortgage company and another one to her family members, telling them to use the insurance money to pay off the mortgage. Must have been too distraught to realize they wouldn’t pay a dime for suicide. Are you not aware how old this smear campaign is and how ineffective it has been thus far? Though it seems like a couple of lifetimes ago, I do recall it being around at least as far back as February. It was kept alive all the way up until Obama successfully clenched the nomination of his party despite the Hannity cult's diligence to make it stick. It finally faded out after their original mission had failed miserably and he emerged from the primaries on top. You can post this stupidity until the end of time but it isn't going to accomplish anything except to make you look like the ignorant, out of touch bigot that you are, marginalize the fringe that subscribes to these beliefs and make your own party look like fools.
I am a WASP American who has many more Moslem friends than Christians for reasons that would be a waste of time to explain to someone with such a narrow, tiny brain. My relationship to that community spans more than 5 decades and my life has been enriched tenfold because of it. I have traveled there, lived amongst them, married into a Moslem family, born Christian children from that union and buried a few along the way. I speak 2 of their languages, have read the Quran, their literature and appreciated their extensive historical contributions to the arts, music and the sciences.
I have lost count of how many of them I have known. I can tell you they are an intelligent, educated and spiritual people. They have family values every bit as strong as Americans and an even stronger sense of community. They take pride in humility and honor. In all those many years, never ONCE have I known a terrorist among them. I know they are out there and I know that unfortunately the politicized version of Islam is every bit as ugly as the politicized version of Chritianity.
It makes no difference whether Obama is a Christian with Moslem ties or a Moslem who has converted (which he is not). As a matter of fact, I have also known many Moslems who have converted, but Obama is not one of them. He is a remarkable human being and this country is blessed to have him as a choice for leadership in this election. What I can tell you is that the ugly, bigoted sentiments expressed here are universally repulsive to all people of faith. Today, you have made me feel ashamed to call myself a Christian.

There is no Air America scandal and certainly nothing you can(reasonably, although we know you don't take that seriously)blame Rachel Maddow for. Air America's former CEO made some bad decisions (gee, that never happens does it?) because he had connections with the charity in question and the fledgling AA was in trouble. However, that was HIS mistake and he is no longer at AA (yes, some people actually get rid of poor performers, unlike our WH). AA didn't do anything wrong and there are no charges against them because there's nothing to prosecute. DESPITE that they have acknowledged that they feel badly about the entire affair and have offered to repay the money even though they are not obligated to do so. I'd say that's far from scandalous - and very much unlike anything you'd see a NeoCon do - they don't pay back ANYBODY even when it IS their fault. Why, here you have the Republican governor of Kentucky under investigation and he declares he's going to use the power of the office to PARDON HIMSELF. Nice schtick if you can get it, huh.

I was so afraid I was going to get slammed/bashed for that one (the day is still early though HA HA). I find it is true though. My MIL - she is a true dem all the way. When DH points something wrong on their side she will deny, deny, deny, but in an instant will talk about some rumor or false thing she heard about the pubs. When talking to her (which I don't anymore about politics) but the only think I can think of is that line from the Harry Potter movie that Harry Potter said to Ron Weezely "that's totally mental". HA HA But talk about wanting to pull your hair out. Too frustrating. After last nights convention I am so psyched to listen tonight.
