You are all thinking 4 more of the same is the WORST that can happen, but I think not. We are not in good shape right now but it CAN and WILL get worse depending on who is in office. Many of you are only looking at economy and forgetting to look at personal freedoms, safety and security and/or any other issues. A large proportion of what is said here is about the economy, and while the economy is a HUGE problem, it is not our only issue, and it appears many of you are willing to sacrifice freedoms for improved economic conditions. Not me. I want to see America remain America. I want all of the freedoms and protections I have enjoyed here throughout my lifetime, and I want the same for my children and their children. We need to look at the bigger picture here, and it seems many people are too short-sighted to do that. No one is looking beyond "today" and I see a lot of the "me, me, me" attitude. Neither or our candidates or any of the independents are actually the person I would LIKE to see in the oval office, but personally, of our choices in this election, I see McCain as the man who will keep us the safest and protect our individual and collective freedoms. I do fear for what will happen to the US as we know it under other leadership. That is my opinion, and I certainly hope others here respect that. That is one of the freedoms of which I speak, the freedom to express one's own opinion and have it respected, already in short supply in this forum.
