I had an appointment this morning with my physician and asked him what he thinks about this election and what it will mean to him with the healthcare.  He told me that regardless of what happens insurance wise, he doesn't think it will affect him personally but he did say that people are not realizing that if obama gets in and we have this healthcare system set up the way he wants it... it will be a disaster.  He mentioned Canada and how yes, they do get their preventative care but the problem with the way it's set up is that if by chance they find something wrong with a test, there is a waiting list a mile long for any sort of actual surgeries; hysterectomies, etc.

I wonder what everyone's thoughts are about this.

P.S. Here's what physicians think about it:

Our physicians are already being told --sm
what they can and cannot do for patient care, by the pharmaceuticals and insurance companies! They deny claims left and right to people younger than this on a daily basis. It's not just the gov't that patients have to worry about! We already pay month after month to big insurance companies (who need bail out money yet on top of it), and they tell US what we can and cannot have as far as medical care! I see no difference than gov't telling us what we can and can't have.
