I'm protesting all of them
I just realized we do have another choice besides McCain and Obama - its called Nobody. I see I didn't get many responses to my last message (I guess not much to argue about with people now that HRC is not in the running). Anyway...I have come to realize this. First and most important (to me at least) is that I do have a choice and I don't have to choose between Obama or McCain and I won't. It's called No vote. Second, I believe that Americans do not pick the next president. When it is clear that Gore actually won (which I am horrified to hear as I could not stand him and was dreading the idea of him as president). He (IMO) is as worthless as Clinton was and I did not want a third Clinton term, so was happy when he lost. But then to find out he actually won, but the "higher powers" had already selected who they wanted in. So...therefore why should I vote when my vote actually does not make a difference. Therefore I've solved my problem of voting for the lesser of the two evils. Mine will be no vote and at least my conscious will sleep better. Whoever gets elected will be elected by the "richest of the US, the lobbyists, the elite, and the corporations". So that is my humble oppinion about all this nonsense.
The protesting will not stop...so yes...sm
If the war is something they believe strongly in then they will have to serve and ignore the protestors. If they are stuck on contract, they will have to serve and pray that the protesting works in their favor.
There is a divide in this country and both sides deserve to be heard.
What if the protesting is getting them killed. sm

These people were not peacefully protesting...
they attacked people going into the convention. They destroyed property. The constitution does not guarantee people the right to destroy property and attack people.

This is something that conservatives preach about, citizens have the ability to change the country not government, so you would think Ann would embrace this movement. There is no doubt in my mind that if these widows raised these issues while a Democrat was sitting as president Coulter would be praising them.

I am from a small town in PA, born, bred and live in a small town, and I and my DH have no qualms with any of the so-called elitist statement, and as I said before, as I see it and hear it, he is right! Some people are just too stupid or too bigoted to vote for their best interests, period, and that is the truth. It is incredible to come through 8 years of the worst government this nation has ever seen, in the middle of a financial crisis that is being compared to the Great Depression, to vote for and give those people at least 4 more years that have brought this country to its knees, in one war that was unnecessary, that cast aside the constitution, torture, and all the other horrendous wrongdoings of the Bush administration, to allow race or a few misspoken words stop from electing a good man, an intelligent man, well, that is just stupidity or bigotry any way you slice it. BTW, I am a 54-year-old white woman.... And I know there are more out there just like me who will vote for this man.. Be he elitist or be he a black radical or whatever slur you would throw at him, I will bet that he will be our next president, and Good Lord I hope so!! As I read through your writings here, seems to me you have not even stopped to think about how much this man has gone through to get where he is...as a black man, it could not have been easy for him, but he did, and he is, and I say more power to him.
