and it really doesn't matter to anyone other than you, I don't think. I certainly don't care. Did not mean to stir the hornet's nest by calling you by an old moniker. It's not like anyone who has been coming to the board for awhile doesn't know that anyway. And again...it doesn't matter, does it?

I'm protesting all of them
I just realized we do have another choice besides McCain and Obama - its called Nobody. I see I didn't get many responses to my last message (I guess not much to argue about with people now that HRC is not in the running). Anyway...I have come to realize this. First and most important (to me at least) is that I do have a choice and I don't have to choose between Obama or McCain and I won't. It's called No vote. Second, I believe that Americans do not pick the next president. When it is clear that Gore actually won (which I am horrified to hear as I could not stand him and was dreading the idea of him as president). He (IMO) is as worthless as Clinton was and I did not want a third Clinton term, so was happy when he lost. But then to find out he actually won, but the "higher powers" had already selected who they wanted in. So...therefore why should I vote when my vote actually does not make a difference. Therefore I've solved my problem of voting for the lesser of the two evils. Mine will be no vote and at least my conscious will sleep better. Whoever gets elected will be elected by the "richest of the US, the lobbyists, the elite, and the corporations". So that is my humble oppinion about all this nonsense.
The protesting will not stop...so yes...sm
If the war is something they believe strongly in then they will have to serve and ignore the protestors. If they are stuck on contract, they will have to serve and pray that the protesting works in their favor.
There is a divide in this country and both sides deserve to be heard.

These people were not peacefully protesting...
they attacked people going into the convention. They destroyed property. The constitution does not guarantee people the right to destroy property and attack people.

Im glad Bush and his ilk are screwing up badly because when we go to the polls it is the republicans that will be hurt the most. I have seen more people registering as democrat this year than I ever have. The shape America is in right now, due to Bush and the republican controlled Congress, would make me ashamed to be a republican. The rest of the world was astonished when he was voted in last November. We liberals have nothing to lose and only to gain by all of his screw ups.

What's up with all these bail-outs. There has been so many I don't even know who is bailing out who and how many more trillions are going to be spent so the rich can remain rich while we all sink. All I know is everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon and getting approved to be given money - please don't ask me to explain because like I said there so many I just don't understand the whole thing except that people in govt are lying to us. All I understand is that people like you and I are going to end up paying for it.
Also under Obama's plan I see the rich getting richer and the middle getting poorer and I'm not quite sure I understand what is going to happen to the poor. I think probably they are going to lower the middle income so they we are in with the poor (after all it is only fair to give our hard earned money away to make us poor like them).
I see very hard times ahead. My dad just was laid off, in January his wife will be laid off, my BIL is out of work, my SIL will most likely be laid off, my other BIL's company is downsizing, he may be out of work, and my other SIL's company closed their doors and she is out of work. My DH is trying to find something to be retrained in so he can get a job. In our town we used to have 2 pages of employment opportunities, now we have 1/2 page. DH talked to a school up north today. They told him that 2 huge companies closed their doors today and over 6000 people are out of work. Nobody can count on what type of jobs/training is going to be a good investment for the future. When he finally decides on one area we read that that industry is going downhill. Luckily gas is down, but food prices are still high. Cost of heating is going up (imagine that...just in time for winter), along with taxes on just about everything else. Our DMV just released that the cost to get a DL has doubled, car registration has more than doubled (but not trippled). I am seeing more and more taxes on everything. How long is it going to be before just one income will not pay the bills.
So, I'm sorry, but I could care less if or when Bristol Palin is having her baby. I'd rather hear what Obama is going to do to get people back working and the country back on it's feet.

What....is Sarah Palin's daughter the first teenager to get pregnant out of wedlock and then decided to break up with the father of her child? At least Bristol isn't receiving government help to pay for her child like so many young single mothers. People make mistakes in life. It doesn't make them bad people. OMG....she had sex! She should be locked up and how horrible Palin is for letting her daughter have sex. Sarah should lose her position as governor of Alaska because she can't keep her adult daughter from having sex. I really couldn't care less about their emails. How would we like it if people were reading our emails out in public? We know what he did and we know it was wrong. All I care about is whether or not taxpayer's money paid for any of his rendevous with this woman. If he paid for things himself....I couldn't care less who he had an affair with. Not really my business. Now if he misused taxpayer money, he should be held accountable for that just like any other politician who misuses taxpayer dollars regardless of the reason behind it.
