Wicked Witch of Wasilla
She is being further investigated on yet more incidences of abuse of power.  The fact that she and Todd built their brand new home using the same contractor that just happened to get the contract to build a new 10 million dollar sports complex in Wasilla simultaneously has led some to question the whole deal, and possibly acquiring, shall we say, the means to do so through this contractor.  That's just one of them.  Watch Keith Olberman tonight on MSNBC.  They have her all figured out!  Obviously someone believes this woman is shady enough to warrant this further investigation.
On Palin, AKA The Wicked Witch of Wasilla
For someone that we collectively have only known now for 8-9 weeks or so, we sure have discovered a lot of very questionable things about her that blatantly shows her lack of integrity, her intelligence of matters of the country (and the constitution), the many, many lies that she has been caught in lies, her very un-Christian-like behavior that provokes people to such a base mob frenzy (all done with a simpering smirk), her very obvious hunger for power and the spotlight, and now she is even turning against her running mate trying to make him look bad in a very sneaky backhanded way in order to further her own very demigogic agenda.  I, for one, cannot understand that there are still so many people out there that just will not see the truth.  Trust me, there is lots more to come in the next 10 days!!
The Wicked Witch of Wasilla, talk
about goulish!!
Ohhh, ohhh, oohh, SNAP!
I do believe this is called a money shot!

My friends on the west

coast are still paying $4 a gallon for gas, as of Thursday, anyway.

I cannot plug in my television with antenna and get anything. If I do not have a cable connection I cannot get anything. The analog thing I just read in a publication Lockheed Martin provides to its employees. I have a friend who is an engineer there in Atlanta and he is always sending volumes and volumes of Lockheed stuff; so that is where my information came from.

Anti Gay (and USA) Protests to Hit Key West

I read a daily blog on Key West real estate and today's posting happened to be on a slightly different subject.

Apparently Fred Phelps and his minions are planning on a trip to Key West to demonstrate their hate of not only gay people but the USA.

Can we take them down as the terrorist organization they are yet? One of his cohorts is already down there:

====================================================

The Key West community will meet tonight to decide whether -- and if so, how -- to respond to a nationally infamous man who hates homosexuals.

The Rev. Fred Phelps, head of the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas, is scheduled to be in Key West on May 22 to protest the Gay/Straight Alliance at Key West High School. Phelps also is planning to demonstrate at the entrance to the island, in front of Sigsbee Park and at B'Nai Zion synagogue, according to a letter Phelps' daughter sent to Police Chief Donie Lee.

The group is planning an outdoor demonstration "regarding the judgment of God with respect to the dangers of promoting homosexuality, and the rest of the filthy manner of life and idol worshipping in this country," the letter states. The city does not require a permit for such assemblies.

Phelps' church is not recognized by mainstream Baptists and is monitored by the Anti-Defamation League as a hate group. His "church" comprises mostly his family members, about 60 of whom are said to protest three times a day, with signs that read, "God Hates Fags" and other anti-homosexual slurs. The church also protests at military funerals, claiming the deaths are the result of America's tolerance of homosexuality.

The Rev. Joe McMurray, pastor of the gay-friendly Metropolitan Community Church, where tonight's meeting will be held, said he does not think that Anthony Charles Capo Jr., who often holds a sign that says "God Hates Fags.com" on Key West street corners, is formally connected with the Kansas group.

Meeting organizers will solicit ideas from community members and law enforcement officials, said McMurray. The gathering will include the police chief, Schools Superintendent Randy Acevedo and some city commissioners.

"We can come together and decide if there will be a response, and what it would be," McMurray said. "We'll also hear from law enforcement to see what they prefer in the interest of public safety."

The Police Department is developing an operational plan for Phelps' demonstration, but Lee emphasized that the general public should ignore Phelps.

"I know it's difficult and I know, firsthand, that it's an emotional issue, but as far as I'm concerned, that's the way to deal with it," said Lee, who is gay. Any demonstrations from counter-protesters would only make it more difficult for officers to keep the peace, Lee said.

Phelps' First Amendment rights allow him and his followers to express their opinions, and the police cannot arrest them for doing so.

Lee explained that if someone says something that directly creates a public safety issue, then the situation changes. He used the example of someone yelling "fire" in a crowded theater as an example that would jeopardize public safety and therefore be an arrestable offense.

"Short of that, people have the right to express their opinion," Lee said.

McMurray said he does not know what prompted Phelps to target the high school group in a town known for its acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people, and its official motto of "One Human Family."

"I don't know if anybody has the 'why' behind Fred Phelps," McMurray said. "He wants to come disrupt, create unease and disturb the peace in a peace-loving community, and he raises money by suing municipalities who violate his civil rights during protests. He intimidates communities."

McMurray and others hope to hear ideas that would turn Phelps' protest into something positive for the community. One option would be a fundraiser for every hour that Phelps is here. People could make an hourly pledge to local charities such as AIDS Help and the Gay and Lesbian Community Center, so the longer Phelps remained in town, the more money he would help raise for gay-friendly service organizations.

"This cannot be personal," said McMurray, who is gay. "Once it becomes personal, we're operating on his level."

J.T. Thompson, a graphic designer who founded the "One Human Family" movement, emphasized that confrontation with Phelps and his group will not serve any purpose.

"This guy earns a living making confrontations happen," Thompson said. "It will be a good day in the fact that we can unite people here. The meeting will gather input to unite the community in a peaceful, positive and loving response."

And I don't suppose "Great White West"

After living on the west coast my whole life
Mississippi is like a foreign country to me!
Ahem. The West Bank is not theirs. Neither is Gaza.
So just how does that justify illegal settlements and settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank?
Ohhh, you're one of THOSE. You see everything as
Because God forbid we actually vote on the individual people. It's all about the PARTY. You're so full of it, I'll bet your eyes are brown. Hope you have a good time, it's obvious you aren't interested in intelligent debate of any form so good day to you.
Ohhh, thank you for clarifying

I don't give a $hit if they were sacrificing bullocks and painting pentagrams on their bedroom walls.

Freedom is freedom

Ohhh I see. Well since it is nothing new, by all means, let's...
just expand it. That is the bottom Obama is talking about? All I see is incentive to get to the bottom instead of away from it.
ohhh -- thanks for clearing that up
good thing you're not twisting his words for him.  I guess if I hear anymore questionable statements, I should check them here first to make sure I understand the true meaning.  Good thing you all speak the O language.
Ohhh, things will change
This country will turn into a welfare country so fast you won't know what hit you until you have been drained dry financially, unable to support yourself, because Obama wants to commit to billions of dollars of more SOCIAL programs. Now, of course,we know what that means, more taxes for those of us who actually work to pay for those who really don't care to. Well, I can guarantee you with all the handouts he wants to give to the tune of billions of dollars, the few rich folks left in this country who already pay for them, will NOT be able to support them anymore, because there won't be enough left from anyone to support all of Obama's programs. All he talks about is programs, programs, programs. He is perfectly happy turning this country into a welfare state where everybody is dependent on our precious government to make our decisions for us and tell us when and how we can do/say anything. Just because you don't like McCain shouldn't mean you vote for someone who has already stated all of the above out of his own mouth; this is not made up facts, these are his facts. Obama wants just as many people as possible to stay ignorant, uneducated, and uninformed, all the while voting for him just because his is black or just because they want change, or just because they hear more handouts and think,"Wow, I can live more years without working and have more children and let the 'rich folks' take care of us. I don't know where you live, but I can guarantee you that in my neck of the woods, the blacks are voting for him for no other reason than he is black. They could not tell you one thing about his past voting record, beliefs, etc., but believe me, they know he's black and getting a black man in the White House is all they care about. I don't care for McCain either but at least he's not preaching more handouts and he isn't making a point of taking the American flag off his plane, which speaks volumes for those paying attention. Just too many people voting for him for all the wrong reasons. He is Muslim born and raised and shows no signs of changing that. His actions have spoken volumes about his true thoughts. A wolf in sheep's clothing....only some of us aren't falling for it.
Scare tactics!! Ohhh, be afraid, be very
afraid.  You rightwingers are such wimps!  Well, as Roosevelt once said and as Barack Hussein Obama repeats, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself."  The rightwingers have surely gotten to the skittish.  I, for one, am very afraid of McPalin.  Now there's reason to fear them. They have nothing to offer, just more of the same old politics and power-hungry greed.  Get away from me!  If you want to base your decisions on lies, then you all deserve whatever comes from McPalin, but the thing is that our country will be stuck in the mire for another four years.  So big deal, McCain was shot out of the sky...so were hundreds of others, others have given their lives for this country but McCain votes against any bill that will cost anything to help them....some leader he will make.  Makes me wanna puke!  Country First...doubt it!!
Ohhh, yeah! I still have plenty duct tape and candles left over, so I should be aiight :):) nm

Perhaps....and perhaps it is a witch hunt....
we'll see.

Not as old as the witch hunt and
At least JTBB posts factual verifiable information and attempts to engage intelligent and informed discussion.
Rhymes with witch.....sm
Our Founding Fathers are probably spinning in their graves to see what has become of the country they so proudly fought for.

It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.
Th witch hunt is getting desperate.
Such thoughtless ignorance, such little time. Where to start? Obama's father left him mom when he was a baby. He is a child of divorce. In his entire life, he knew his father for 1 month. He has some communication with Kenyan relatives but not all of them. It is not surprising that they would not have that much in common, having been raised by different parents of different races halfway around the world from each other.

So, against this background, consider if you will how divorced families in the United States relate to one another. If you yourself were from a divorced family, would you necessarily keep up with the whereabouts of your dead father's HALF-sister wh you never knew? Would you even know her last name, her husband's name, how many children she has or even her hometown?

I would not expect him to even know she was in the United States, much less her legal status. Furthermore, I would not be sticking my nose into an elder relative's personal affairs, asking such questions as to her legal status. I would probably respect the elder and give her the benefit of the doubt. In fact, it would ot even cross my mind.

Having said that, there is another aspect of this family situation that comes into play. African family structures operate much, much differently than American families. Many tribes in Africa reckon the identity of their children through the MOTHER, not the father, like we do here in the west. Wives do not take their husband's names and neither do the children. Therefore, kinship via the mother's ancestors is central. So here we have a combination of divorce, death of a relative who abandoned his son, geographic separation, racial separation (being raised in a white world) and cultural separation. It is not at all hard for me to understand that he would not have known her legal status or even that she was still here. If the contribution came from a New York address, there would have been no reason for campaign workers to question its legality, nor would they have know she was his aunt.

All I need to know about Obama's family values is the way he treats his own wife and children and what he says about responsible parenting. I think is is ridiculous that you have the gall to sit in judgment over something you have no way of knowing anyhing about. Grasping at straws in the 11th hour of the campaign will not win any elections.
The witch hunt is getting desperate
While I realize that Obama's book is WAY over your head, you should be able to grasp at least its title...DREAMS of my father, as in how an abandoned son might imagine his father and feel the need to understand the parent he never knew. Unlike you, I do not get my information from YouTube, fringe chat rooms and Fix Noise, errr, I mean Fox News. I actually read BOOKS and have read up on Obama enough to know a little bit about the estrangement he feels from his Kenyan family and when I wrote that, I had Maya Soetoro-Ng in mind who maintains a relationship with Obama.

I studied African tribal family structures and America family structure in (now get ready) college...cultural and social anthropology, cultural geography and sociology of family courses for starters and have maintained an interest in cultural studies for more than 30 years, so I CONTINUED to read about these subjects of interest. Survivor TV would be on your level, not mine. Obama supporters are, how should I say this, known to be a tad more educated than (how did that political analyst says it yesterday?...oh, yes) the downscale McCain voter and as such are much less prone to the mob mentality that adopts and chants flock buzz words such as "sheeple" and the like. Then again, I would not expect you to be ale to wrap you brain around African tribal customs and how kinship reckoning affects cultural family value systems, especially outside of the lower 48, but I do think that Obama's global mentality probably get the gist of it.

Now, if you don't mind, I need a breath of fresh air and a little distance between myself and this ignorant post of yours.

And, there were also the Salem witch trials.
Do you know anything about them?  They persecuted 19 people because they were thought to have cavorted with the devil, and it all started with a little girl lying about a woman in order to save her own little a@@!!  Lies, religion, politics.. don't mix very well.
Pathetic witch hunts!
.
I dont consider that witch to be capable of

seem to recall someone else protecing herself again a WITCH...haha
hmmm, real sound judgment there. So if Palin wins and decides to seek advice from shamans or witchdoctors, you are okay with that?
It is a witch hunt. If you were interested in the truth
drawing all these conclusion about a story that has not even come out yet. The lady says she'll spill the beans after the 5th, but looks like waiting that long would take the winds right out of the sails of the impotent smear campaigners.
Ann is a biterr and jealous petty little witch.

Witch hunt on previous administration?
Ah, for the waterboarding? I would suggest you acquaint yourself with the fact that America put Japanese war prisoners to death, yes executed them, for the same thing as your previous administration now stands accused of, torture. Strange how it was horrible when it was done to Americans but now it is ok? You, dearie, need to be off the panic button. This is like mass hysteria with people running scared, of what? Oh, I saw yesterday where Obama has now been called the superpresident, nice sound, huh?
Witch trials in 1692....constitution 1787...
puritanism gave way to Christianity. You got it backwards. Respectfully.
thou shalt not suffer a witch to live

My goodness. O witch hunt sure is keeping you busy.
It is in its 3rd day. No comments on the discussions regarding party revamp? How about today's agenda? Keep your eye on Jindel. He did a great job in Louisiana with disaster mgmt...and GOP will be neding plenty of that in the 2008 election aftermath. Seriously, as a left-wing commie Marxist terrorist unAmerican anti-patriot, he has GOP leadership written all over him. Mayb you should take a hate break and take a look at him.
It was a witch hunt plain and simple. But the bad thing about it???
He just commuted their sentences. They will not get their jobs back again because they were not pardoned. I did not know there was a difference, but evidentally there is. So....they might be walking free, but who's going to pay all the bills? And make up for all the missing family times? Not Bush 2 that's for sure. Nor the "Anointed One." He has his own set of problems.

MSNBC doesn't encourage these witch hunts at all. Sheesh
Convention III of the Geneva Convention has to do with treatment of Prisoners of War.

Identifying who is to be classified as a POW is specifically called out in detail in Art 4 of Convention III.

The AL Queda and Taliban rogues, and other ''terrorists'' DO NOT fall under the protections of Convention III, commonly referred to as Common Article III.
Author of this link is an acid-mouthed witch hunting hate monger
has made a career out of spreading division and hate. She makes Michele Malkin look like a Marxist comrade. She is Anti Obama, Anti-Hillary, Anti-Democrat, anti-liberal, Anti-McCain (he's too "liberal", Pro-Palin and (gt this) Pro-Bush. She positively worhips the guy.

I reviewed the titles of her newspaper articles and WITHOUT EXCEPTION she publishes these types of articles. Some of her more notable titles:
1. Obama's Contempt for our Constitution.
2. In Palin-Gibson Throwdown--Gov Get A, Media F (I am SO SURE).
3. Where is Obama's TESTICULAR Fortitute? (little trash mouth).
4. Ding Dong, the With Is Dead...referring to Hillary's defeat in the primaries.
5. Barack Obama's Snake Oil.
6. Is Hillary Mentall Ill?
7. Hillary's Slapped-Around-By-Men Problem Bodes Ill for the Presidency.
8. The STELLAR Legacy of George W. bush.
9. The Rest of the World Loves President Bush (this woman needs some serious antipsychotic drugs).
10. Liberals Don't Support Our Troops. If she were in the same room with me, the only way I could control my urge to deck her would be to remove myself from her presence over this outrage.
11. Pathology of Liberalism.
12. Hillary: Typical Actions of an Abused Woman.
13. The 7 Deadly Sins of Liberals.

You see, this is why citing sources matters. Credibility....NOT. She is a fanatic hawking a hateful agenda. No surprise there that she would be onboard with this BC lunacy.
When Bill Clinton was in office, OHHH you better believe Bill and Carter have had..sm
their day of mudslinging matches, at the pleasure of a many conservatives. So, no there's not a double standard here.
What in the world are you
talking about ???  Oh, wait, I get it. The writer above said his mother said If Roe v. Wade is overturned, that's it for me.  Out of that entire article that one sentence is what jumped out at you??? Our country is in a really really big mess both domestically and foreign policy-wise. The full and total attention directed towards the empire the Bush administration is so desperate to build will be what finally does us in and Roe v Wade is the most important issue on the table for you??.  Prioritize, and by the way, we are killing babies, ones who are already here, the unborn ones in Iraq, in their mothers' wombs when their mothers are shot, men and women, American and Iraqi, British, Italian, etc. right now.  Killing is killing is killing. It is what it is.  It is not wrong in the US to kill the unborn but just fine and dandy in Iraq.
World War III....sm
With the news of Israeli conflict, Iran's missles, Iraqi War, I feared we were entering WWIII, so when I read this article today it confirmed my suspicions.
I don't know how in the world...
you turned this article which is about the major cheerleaders for the Iraq war, the neocons, into something that maligns the left. The only thing left about this article is me and the fact that I posted it on the liberal board. This article says neocons are upset. Neocons think the current administration is incompetent. Neocons regret what they have done in the past and would not do it again. None of this has anything to do with the American left or all those worldwide who thought attascking Iraq was a farce from the beginning. We have not turned on public opinion. We have been anti-war since before it started. Public opinion was very much against us in the early days of the war, in this country anyway, but some of us knew this would turn out to be the disaster it is. I myself was flabberghasted when I read what these neocons said. I never thought I would see the day Richard Perle or David Frum would have regrets and voice them to the public.
Just in your little world....
you are rather ad nauseum in your hate and bile...keep it up, you'll help her get elected....
How do you know what my world is.....
You make that assumption when in fact, you know nothing about my life. I come from a home where we were dirt poor but it was all I knew, so I didn't know we were poor. And there was no 2 of us as in your home. There was a single mom with two children. She worked a factory job where ladies there were treated horribly, making very little. We grew our own food when we could and I ate the same stuff over and over until I was sick of looking at it. But it was ours. No one said it was easy to get a job but my uneducated mother found a job and because she had no college education, she worked her butt off for very very very little. My clothes were homemade and not store bought like the girls I went to school with. She worked 2 or more jobs to have something under the tree at Christmas. She took a cheese sandwich to lunch everyday (and nothing else) and went to work burning up with a fever because as far as the boss cared, they could find somebody else to put in your place. My mother gave and gave and hasn't gotten anything financially to show for it to this day. Work is all I knew. I applied for a PELL grant to go to college (and for the poor, they can also get those, even those that aren't really considered poor can get them). I worked more than one job, went to classes, and then went to work again. I didn't know what a free ride was and never knew anything about welfare, etc. My mother NEVER took a dime from the government. I bought a piece of a junk car to get around in...seemed good enough for me, because that's all my mother had as well. You just prayed it kept running.

"we are just not buying into the mentality that we should just be lucky to have jobs and we should just work hard for our money" That is called entitlement mentality. Our community is packed full of those that feel entitled. Have another child, feel entitled. Too good to flip hambugers?, no problem, feel entitled.

"I totally disagree with you and I am not all that intereseted in what people who have money think or what their opinions are about what to do with my money." Really? Obama is rich and feels perfectly at ease telling you what to do with your money and what he wants to do with your money! That doesn't bother you? I have no problem with a social program for those unemployed who needs food/clothing/shelter until they get back on their feet. That is not what happens....it becomes a way of life for millions who get very used to not having to do anything but feel "entitled".

"I am talking about rich people who do not pay taxes and get all the tax breaks and credits while I pay higher in percentage of taxes on everything, such that I cannot even survive on what I am making now." Obama is one of those.

I don't know where you live but there are PLENTY of help for the disadvantaged in my community. Taxpayer dollars have built new low income housing, single family housing at that, to the tune of millions. While my mother still lives in a home over 100 years old, those living in a brand new home (complements of taxpayers) at a reduced price, while they are able to ride around in a brand new vehicle. They have 24 hour security protection even though I am already paying for that once by the name of local police.(I don't have private security protection). They have ellaborate wrought iron fences that surrounds their little estate that costs taxpayers to the tune of thousands and thousands (I don't have a wrought iron fence around my home). Like this is going to keep out any unsavory people. Right!! THey just drive right in.

In addition, the people who really need this are the single moms and elderly who are struggling. This type of housing takes any incentive away to do anymore than they have to to to live there. After all, just one spouse has to work so they can say they don't make anymore than they do, and this affords them free housing, food, healthcare, and free babysitter by the name of Head Start. Why isn't the other spouse working? Because they may hit that magic number by a couple of dollars that put them over the "entitlement" line. My mother's highest grossing income ever was 11,000 dollars and she NEVER took a handout. She is now of Medicare age and living paycheck to paycheck. If I offer to help her pay bills, she will not accept it. I have gone in and taken her electric bill and just went down and paid it before she knew it.

"have you ever had to decide whether to buy groceries or to pay the electric bill that is going to be shut off" You make 40K a year and can't pay your electric bill? I'm certainly not implying that's a lot of money, but sister, my mother's total for the year is $10,800 and she pays her electricity, buys her groceries, pays home insurance, pays gas bill, small phone bill all with that. And that's on top of her health care bills and medication. She has just underwent breast cancer and mastectomy and still has managed, so don't tell me you can't afford to live on 40K a year. My husband and I raised two children on less than that and he didn't want me working for a lot of those years so I could be there with the children. And there are two of you working. Mother drives around in a jalopy of a car without air conditioning and we are in the humid south. She now has watched her beautiful neighborhood turn into HUD housing (also paid for by me), loud obnoxious children who manage to walk around in Tommy Hilfiger and other such expensive clothes but their two parents can't afford to pay their own rent? Same parents have new model vehicles sitting in their front yard while mother drives around in a wreck. Nobody paying for her house.

My daughter and her husband didn't make that until just recently and they still managed to put money away for hard times just in case and good thing, he lost two jobs back to back with downsizing and mergers. They never went to a movie, ate at home every night, no newer vehicles, just what they already had.

"the republicans just seem to want to get rid of dead weight and just use people as servants" (Where have you been?) When Obama gets through taxing you to death to pay for his own "social programs", just who do you think will be dead weight. Who do you think will be servants then? How in the world could you possibly think you will be better off financially by being taxed more to pay for more garbage programs? You will then definitely be a servant....to the government!! That's what welfare states are....that's what our public education system is.....they can't turn a page in a book without the government telling them it's okay. They can't teach what needs to be taught unless the government tells them what to read, how to teach. This didn't start with Bush...it started a long time ago. Public education is completely dependent on government funds and that is what has turned all the students in them into servants. It's a reality now, not after the next election. It's been a reality for several decades now.

As far as crime is concerned, even our local police chief (who is black) said the people committing crimes are and will continue to be just plain thugs, criminals. They have no excuse. Honest hardworking people do not just start going out and committing crimes because the economy is bad. What happens is little Johnny can't get his $200 sneakers and $80 jeans anymore (which is the parent's fault in the first place), so he feels "entitled" and goes out and robs, steals, and kills for money to buy them. Those who will do those things will do them regardless. It has nothing to do with the economy.

I'm not saying it is easy but if my mother can live o less than $11,000 a year, I feel 40K a year is doable, unless for some reason you have out of control debt through no fault of your own (credit cards, expensive vehicles, luxury items, etc.). I know unexpected medical bills can put many right over the top and I understand that. My husband's medical bills due to a chronic condition is growing every day and that is a concern for us but I see people with things they want but don't need and they complain they don't have enough money. I was listenign to a cashier at WalMart the other day griping about how she just didn't know how she was going to buy her baby's Bday present, and yet, she had hair braids that cost $180 to get done (I asked her, while she went on and on about how long it took to get it done)and salon nails to the tune of $50 a pop and yet she couldn't afford her baby a birthday present?!!

How in the world
can they compare the republicans to Hitler.  I do believe that McCain wants smaller government.....not bigger government.  A  comparison of Hitler and Obama sounds much more feasible.
Why in the world does he need one
Is he running for office too?
How in the world
can you say the economy was doing great before the Dems took control of Congress?  Bush has borrowed, borrowed, borrowed and now he's borrowing even more so his cronies can take billions before he leaves office.
What in the world

is this country coming to?????  For goodness sake!  I did not vote for Obama, but the man is human.  I was nervous.  Good grief!!!  He is about to take a very big step in his life with responsibility that most of us in our right minds would not take.  He looked nervous and excited to me coming towards the steps, and I am sure he was very nervous when he was being sworn in.  I wish you people would just grow up.

Many of you sound like high school girls - - did you see Michelle's dress.... blah, blah, blah.....  Bush had an embarrassed look on his face..... blah, blah, blah.....

GROW UP!

In a PC world, you

have to be politically correct at all times.  Many people are sensitive about their children with disabilities.  I could see where his comment could be offensive.  However, it does not personally offend me and I have an autistic son myself.

I think a lot of people need to simmer down.  Yes, it was a bad joke and he probably should not have said it, but his main point was that he sucks at bowling....nothing more.

Political correctness has really hurt our country.  Any time someone says anything about color, sex, or race.....certain people will jump up and scream about it.  Being the president, you are under a much bigger magnifying glass.

It is my opinion that he probably shouldn't have said it....but it isn't the end of the world.  However, I'm sure if this had been Bush's goof.....the liberal media and dems would all be screaming about it.

So what? Not everyone in the world wants to become
N/M
How in the world is

this going to boost the economy?  Joe Biden said yesterday that he would tell his family not to go anywhere in confined spaces like airplanes, subways, etc.  The White House had to back peddle and rephrase what he said but I personally agree with Biden.  You won't see me flying anywhere, etc. until I know for sure how serious this is.  Less people are flying.  No one is flying to Mexico.  Do you know how devastating this will be to airlines, etc. if more and more people don't fly because of this?  The airlines are already hurting.

Blame Mexico?  It is true that this started in Mexico, but things happen.  I don't hate Mexicans.  I'm just tired of paying for illegal ones.  I don't blame them for this flu.  It could have started anywhere, etc. and as much as people travel...something like this was bound to happen some time.

I think your post sounds more like a conspiracy theory and I don't get into those.  Besides, we have no vaccine for this.  Money may have been given for research into a new flu vaccine but there is currently no vaccine for swine flu.  So I really don't see where you get that we got a vaccine and now all of sudden....boom....everyone has the swine flu.

This is something that cannot be blamed on the current administration.  I personally don't like the idea of Obama having been in Mexico with this all going on but we didn't know at the time.  I personally feel that Obama has handled this swine flu thing well.  He has tried to be informative yet to keep people from panicking at the same time.  I personally do not feel that this is something we can hold over Obama by saying he hasn't kept us safe because the swine flu is in the US.  I think that is just insane to say.   Besides, the normal flu strain kills thousands of Americans each year and no one thinks a thing about that.

Why in the world would say
something like that?  I know for a fact that these people take their religion very seriously.  I don't think we should be making rude comments about other religions.
