I believe you're right. I did a little research and found it's used to stop bleeding.

If this help is needed all that emergently you should practice putting the word in the subject line so the reader doesn't have to open up all these darn boxes.


This is not a very reliable reference, but there is a word like your s/l in there.

I would type:

Typing in all caps is the equivalent of shouting. It will make people not want to listen or read or help. Just trying to give you a heads up.

However, it's a verbatim account.  When QA and the doctor send it back to me telling me to do what they say, I do it no matter what my reference book or spellchecker say.  The physicians are the ones who are making up new words or combining things, not me.
