TT is also hiring for a cancer hospital that is supposed to be starting later this year. They have
of four new hospitals starting between September and December.
I see that Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is hiring.
"Training" is on location but after training, there will be multiple excuses as to why you can't go home to work. Supervisor is NEVER there. Pay is not TOO bad, but working in-house is horrible. Just thought I would throw my opinion in and try to save the next poor soul who falls for their "promises".

Landmark in Philadelphia
The company in Philadelphia lost many accounts in the spring and have not gained more accounts to make up for those losses. The bulk of their accounts are subcontracted. They are not full service accounts. They do not have enough work on most of their accounts. The work is sporadic, sometimes the work pool is empty for hours each day. The owners are previous MQ people. Pay is accurate and on time. The QA people and supervisors try to work with the MTs as best they can, but can't control the lack of work. They use various platforms, including Bayscribe and ExText.

What's the info on the other company also named Landmark?
Does anyone know of any of the Philadelphia, PA hospitals that hire their own MTs.
:
Anyone working for Landmark in Philadelphia that can tell me about
the workload and how is that going with them.  Thanks!
What happened regarding cancer? nm

That is a disease just like cancer

Would you say the same if that were the case?  People like you are despicable.

Anyone have any info on the big hospitals in Philadelphia and does MQ have all those accounts. Just
wondering if any of those hospitals are sharing their work with other companies other than MQ or does MQ have those accounts solely on their own.
Yes, I decided on becoming a cancer registrar!
.
I live in the Philadelphia suburbs. The original poster sm
is probably from Virginia or there abouts. Mild winters are usually in the Virginia area as I get lots of snow and cold where I am.

The ocean is 1 hour away, the mountains 2 hours away, and everything is at our doorstep.

Good luck trying to find out exactly.
The rumor I heard was that a person with cancer
worked at MQ and got fired for not meeting line counts due to chemo. Do you think the company would verify?
Risking cancer spread waiting on ins
I was saddened to read that you are risking the potential spread of cancer by waiting for your insurance to cover testing and treatment.

First, I think the 12-month waiting period would make it Dec 2009 rather than 2010, but, still, waiting til Dec 2009...geez...I hope you reconsider what the consequences are.

You might check into other options for paying for testing/treatment, including extended payment plans, public or private financial assistance, loans, whatever it takes. This is your health and your life that you are risking by delaying. Is that worth the price?

I'm thinking about all the people who have lost their lives because an otherwise treatable cancer was not caught early enough.

I'm sorry for your situation and hope I haven't sounded preachy. Just hope you will reconsider your options. Best wishes.

Ham sandwich and lung cancer vs 100K. Tough choice.
:)

I have been to SA and the UAE and, let me tell you, there's a lot more respect for the MTs there than in the good 'ol USA.

Westerners are not held to the same standards as locals when it comes to dress and custom. You don't have to wear a full-on face shroud or eat dog or whatever. Just show some basic common sense decency. You'll be assigned an escort if, for some reason, you need to go somewhere at night or want to go to a certain part of town out of the American neighborhood. (Great little market, for example.)

It's like this:

In Hawaii, I hardly ever wear anything but cut-off shorts and a bikini top. And I don't stand out because most of the people I'm hanging out with wear the same sort of thing. But if I was to go to Manhattan and apply at a Fortune 500 company as a receptionist, do you think I'd wear my cut-offs? No. Everyone would say, 'cover up.' And rightly so. I really wouldn't have a problem with understanding, or adhering to, the dress code.

So maybe wearing jeans and a tee in SA would be akin to wearing cut-offs and a bikini top to Wall Street. It's just not respectful or acceptable. But who can't deal with that?

For anyone who enjoys learning about other cultures, and who can muster up the standard level of respect we show to other cultures even in America, I would heartly suggest being open minded to this type of offer. Heck, I'd go if I were 10 years younger. (If just for the opportunity to hang out and party in Dubai.)
The University of Pennsylvania Health System Hospitals is huge in Philadelphia. Do they hire their
own MTs for those hospitals does anyone know. They must have a large amount of transcription to be done.

Run for the hills do not do it
Fox Chase
Do you have any more information that you could share? Are they hiring home based transcriptionists? Thanks.

I didn't quite understand what the lady meant by not being registered in New York either.  I was assuming it meant that they weren't registered to take taxes out in New York and she had said she put a call into someone to find out if they could become registered (whatever that means!)  Supposedly, they could still hire me as an independent contractor.  Anyways, I was confused and the way they pay is very confusing.  I wasn't about to sign on with a company and hope that they eventually could give me benefits.  I could be totally wrong in my interpretation of what registering means but that is what I gathered from it.  Sorry so confusing.
Chase
Yes they offered me a position for a lousy 7.28 cents. I have not been paid that for 8 years!! Plus she would not tell me about the account until I tested. I am done with being an employee for many reasons, going IC.
What "new center"?

The Transcription Center
Has anyone worked for this co. in Texas that could comment?
Chase Transcriptions, Inc?
in Ohio.  Any good/bad experiences from actual MTs only who work for them, please.  Thanks.
Anybody know anything about Chase Transcription? TIA

Chase Transcription
I called them today. They pay 4 cents to 9 cents per line. The 9 cents is for 3rd shift. All acute care work. Benefits for full time. Hope this helps.

I saw their ad on another website and applied.  I was contacted the next day but I need benefits and they are not registered in New York which is where I am so I would have to be an independent contractor.  I know they also have a transcription school.  They also have a weird way of paying.  They pay by total Keystrokes and it was very confusing to figure out but when I did, I figured I would be making less there anyways.  Don't know anything else about them but they did get back to me quickly which is better than some other places.
chase is out of Ohio
extremely low pay, but made it sound like i would be paid more by being paid for Keystrokes but after like what was pulling teeth it comes out to exactly 65 characters a line which includes spaces.  hope this helps.
Chase Transcriptions

Does anyone know about this company?  Pros, cons, etc.  Thanks.

Chase transcription

Dose anybody have any experience with Chase Transcription. Any info good or bad would be appreciated.

Thanks

I worked there for 2 years until my insurance rate went from 59/month to 159/month. Had to quit.  Easy platform. When I worked there which was about 2 years ago all accounts had to use the same account specifics.  Made it a lot easier.  where I work now, everyone has something different. some wants things bolded, not bolded, stacked, not stacked, etc.  difficult to remember when you have multiple accounts and you know how QA can be

Chase Transcription
First I want to thank everyone on here.  I have been working as an IC for a great company for 5 years and have been out of the loop when looking for a job.  Unfortunately, I am having to look for another job to supplement this one as my line count has been cut in half.  This board has been so informative about who to steer clear of and who are the good companies.  In saying that, I have a phone interview with Chast Transcription next week. Was hoping to get some feedback from those who do work or have worked for this company, any hints on what I should ask, etc.  Thanks in advance everyone.
I had trouble with Chase

I worked for Chase for about 9 months. Let's just say STAY AWAY. VERY AWAY. It was not a good experience. I am still looking for work.

Chase Transcriptions

Did anyone apply or get hired by Chase Transcriptions?  I am curious to know the pros and cons from current employees.  If I apply and am hired for part-time, do they allow you to choose your schedule or is it assigned?

Thanks so much!!!!

NEMT and Chase

Never worked for them.

They have ads at mtjobs .com

Try Kimball Medical Center

I'd still contact the solution center
I got the email from my STM this week as well (bet we have the same one!), but I have not been experiencing any problems. It is still very possible that the reason you are having so many difficulties is something to do with your router (if you have one) or ISP. I know how frustrating it is when the platform keeps freezing up on you. I was having so much trouble until I changed the settings on my router and now it is smooth sailing. Definitely contact the Solution Center and see what they can do to help you. There's no reason to suffer through it if there is a fix out there.
Doctor's Medical Center
I searched this board and couldn't find any specific info on this company.  Does anyone work for them?  Know anything positive or negative about them?  Know about their pay scale?
A local surgery center
I was referred to them through someone else. They have had trouble keeping a transcriptionist. Now I know why.
CMC (Carolinas Medical Center)
is located in Charlotte, NC. I know, because I used to work there. They have bought A LOT of the hospitals in North Carolina. It is a VERY large corporation. Good company to work for.
They are backed by JP Morgan Chase. nm

Chase transcriptions - feedback
Can I get some feedback on this Escription company please :-)  Thanks!
Anybody work on the outpatient surgery center at e-MTS?

Interested in knowing what the account's like, i.e. platform, dictators, productivity, et cet.  Tx.

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center

Does anyone know anything about what it is like to work for Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.  Can you work remote?  How is the pay?

Sonora Regional Medical Center
This seems to be the name of the hospital Janis Reed advised.  She says the ad said weekend only.  Rather snappy reply from her via email.
8 center per gross line...as good as 9/65 cpl?

Anyone here for for University of Kansas Medical Center? Please let me know. Thanks.
I work at home for a national now and I'm wondering if KU outsources or does in-house and about their benefits. Not a newbie, have 11 years experience in acute care. Rock chalk!
