Goodbye to DRC

Posted By: my2cents on 2007-04-05
In Reply to: I believe it is a done deal. (nm) - Goodbye to DRC, a great company! :(

Is it only me or is everyone SAD about this. I feel like someone died. Obviously cannot stay with DRC because it's a trust thing and just do not trust them (Acusis) to tell the truth. They have to keep current MTs happy for at least three months until the dust settles, then the ax will swing. Anyway, I reiterate it -- Goodbye DRC, a really wonderful place to work. It will be sorely missed!

Apology and goodbye

My apologies to all for adding wrong.  You are correct.  Have you looked for work lately?  Who is offering 13 cpl?  You must be around for awhile.  I have been offered 7 cpl doing surgeries and I have 2 years' experience.

You know what, I am off this board.  I have been kicked around enough by these companies.  I don't need more of it.  Plenty of people are getting out of this business because they can't cut it.  You rubbing it in, doesn't help any of this.  We are supposed to support each other not inflate our egos.  Hats off to you who are making $50 an hour.  I don't believe it but fine.  You can reply all you want to me.  I won't answer.  Say good riddance too.  This is e-mail.  We all hide behind it.

To: Apology and Goodbye
Well said. The rest of us can do the math. My friend is a PA in the Midwest. She makes $50 an hour. What a shame that she did not become an MT. In real estate we call bragging about earnings puffing. With puffing there is margin for stretching the truth. I'm not accusing anyone here, but if the hat fits, any puffer wear it. In the meantime, I hope the MTs on this board will continue to support one another and be kind enough to share information and resources, and not assume that others who are not doing so well financially somehow lack in skill and experience. Don't leave the board. People have a right to their opinions, that's is what makes this board unique. We just need to support one another more.
Goodbye to Spheris
I am leaving Spheris after 9 years.  I can not take the loss of income anymore. I took the time that I needed to find a company that does not do SR and has excellent compensation.  Spheris is now the Walmart of Medical Transcription as far as employee compensation goes. The only good thing left is the PTO and I am sure that will eventually be reduced or eliminated.  Good Luck!
one more note, then goodbye to you.
YOU are the only one that seems to need the explanation I gave. You admittedly tried to antagonize using the term typist and yet you say I overdramatize? Me thinks you are the drama queen that needs to get over YOURself, with nothing better to do than stir the pot, and YOU are the puffed up one. FYI, no I do not try to impress anyone with my fund of knowledge. You obviously judge others by yourself -- and hopefully you are not too naive to understand what I am saying. Good day troublemaker.
Well, goodbye and good luck to you...
I'm staying with DRC. As long as my account stays with the new company, I will, too. :-)
I got broadband today, goodbye MTSO vultures

I'm going back to work directly for a hospital from home!   I'm so excited.  That means health insurance, dental, 10 sick days, 10 vacation days, 6 holidays and rotating weekends where I get 2 of them off a month.  These are people that don't discount lower lines because you're on crappy work but appreciate that do the crappy work.  The bonus is people who actually care about me and know medicine, medical transcription and how hard I'm working for them.  I'm so tickled that I may even offer to work on Christmas Day (and they pay 1.5x when I do)!

I feel like a real person again!

ANON, you're such a loser for posting your 2 cent goodbye!
