Is there anyone else struggling to get the lines needed at Transcend for medical insurance? sm
Or is it just me??  TIA
Anyone else struggling to even make a $200 paycheck from Futurenet? sm
They are a great company but the work is bare.  Very, very bare.  I cannot even make enough to do anything with.  Have they overhired?  This has been going on for months.  I hate to leave but I cannot put my family through this anymore.  We depend on my income greatly.  Anyone else have these issues?
Huge employee turnovers and struggling to get your lines seems to be a common theme.. No thanks.
I think I'll pass on that. I have worked for a hospital before and I never had to pay for any physical, background checks etc..
it would only hurt those struggling to make their line count
It could endager their job. If they need just 45 minutes extra a day to meet their count, what does it hurt? No one said you have to work more hours. You could always opt out of working longer than 8 hours.
I dislike the platform and am struggling to make minimum

line counts.  The IT department said platform issues are being worked on but won't be resolved anytime soon.   Work is sporadic on many accounts, may not be work during your shift, but you still have to make up the time and you're expected to accept it.  You may/may not get a backup account.

You get e-mails that threaten they will have to offshore if accounts can't stay within TAT, which makes me think it is already in the works.

Benefits are good, but they don't make up for not being able to make lines.

I think they are definitely better than some companies I have worked for, but every breath I take I'm in tears because I hate it so much.

My account went to India, have been struggling to make any money for the last month, crappy work. nm
xx
Be flexible and you will get your lines and then some. nm

I do.

Any companies hiring for 300 lines a day and very flexible with hours? SM

I am looking to work for a company who is looking for some overflow help, 300 lines a day.  I am willing to give and take a little in regards to the work schedule.  If some days there is not enough to get 300 lines that is fine and if some days there is an abundance of work and you may require more from me, that is fine also.

I would love to find a company who uses a transcription-friendly software like DocQScribe (not sure of spelling) or Inscribe.  I am also looking for a flexible schedule, where I can just hop on throughout the day and transcribe.

Does anybody know of such a company?  I would be more than grateful to hear of any.

Thanks so much!!!!

They work with you to make sure you get the lines required or the amount of lines you want...
I have never had a problem getting more work
Why would anyone what to work for practically nothing. I make 5 cpl editing, flexible schedule etc.
As long as they can get people to take those ridiculous wages that is what they will offer. Your an IC so you have no benefits, thus they do not have much of an overhead and you can bet they are getting a whole heck of a lot more cpl than they are offering their MTs.. but I guess that is the only reason they are in business... to make a huge profit. Unfortunately, at YOUR expense. What a sad day... 1.5 cpl..
How does one count one's lines on DQS to make sure one's

Hard to make lines
xxxx
Love Ops, make more lines on Ops than

anything else.  If you haven't done it in a while may be slow going until you're familiar with equipment/procedure terminology.

Slow way to make lines
A friend has and it was much slower at line production but she had severe carpal tunnel syndrome... so it enabled to her to work is about it.
Now you can not make your lines in 9 hours!

If you can't make 1000 lines in 8 hours,
in the wrong profession.
They don't expect U to make lines during first 90 days
Hang in there, it will get better, it takes time.
I am able to make 10,000 lines M-F every week at eTransPlus - nm

EDMAT is very hard to make lines.

I make a lot of money/lines at Transcend.
It probably depends on the platform. I love the company; have been there for a while but also worked elsewhere. This company is the best. E-mail me if you'd like
You pay more for insurance if you don't make minimum lines also sm
I left there because of this exact issue. I started having a harder and harder time getting my lines, meaning I got a reduced line rate and had an extra $95-100 on top of that taken out because they didn't pay the employer matching part of the insurance.
Now you can not make your lines in 9 hours! More time for 2nd Job.

Can you say where you work where it's so easy to make your lines? All I come across is crap out
s
weird pay scale, hard to make lines, can't
make money, currently training women in Trinidad to do our job.
Just wondering - how many hours do you normally have to work to make your 500 lines? Thanks! NM

You can make up your lines whenever you like. Just drop them and email letting them know that you ar

Keystrokers do you find it difficult to make lines? Almost

a year ago I was offered a position with KS.  There were lots of rumors going around about my company so I started looking, but I fell for the lies my MTSO told and stayed put.  The rumors became fact and I had to find another job.  I just cannot make decent lines with new company.   I went from gross line to 65 characters, which by itself can make 100+ lines a day difference.  The platform is boggy and I prefer to do Ops only, but doing everything but due to my scheduled work time and the tight TAT of Ops and I'm just not happy.

I  was hired for an acute care account doing Ops at KS, but I can't remember any of the other details (other than of course pay).   I'm thinking about calling them to see what they may have to offer (they said call if I changed my mind), but don't want to have to start all over again only to find myself in the same situation I'm currently in with no able to make lines.

Also, what kind of Expander can you use.   New job uses SH and I really don't like it.

Uhoh .. does that mean it is difficult to make the 1300 lines per day sm

required for the 10 cpl?  I was in high hopes ... sigh.

Thanks so much for your help/input.

Very neg. posts about TH - running out of work, getting nasty when you don't make your lines. TC

Make sure you ask what the required lines per day is. Could be 1200-1800 or higher. nm

Incentive tier isn't so good when it's hard to make lines. I'm about

When you run out of work doyou have to make up lines/hours to keep bennies? (nm)

Low line counts - difficult to make 1200 lines in 8 hours. sm
25 years of experience as an Acute Care MT and I had a difficult time getting 200 lph with Bayscribe. Any other accounts with other companies, I could easily transcribe 350-400 lph. Not at MDI - very difficult. I loved the account, but again it was difficult to get a decent line count.

It doesn't matter if you pay me 11 cpl if I can't get a decent line count. Couldn't take the 3 x day e-mails either.
Bayscribe stinks!
I also got put on 2 atrocious ESL accts with them last year. Couldn't make any lines. These dudes

How flexible is flexible? A window of time? nm

PS who is struggling
It is true there are a couple not so great ROMs, believe me I could name you 2 right now BUT, you don't have to deal with them - simply ask for another account. They have many accounts to put you with a better fit and one that you will be happy with. I know many more ROMs that are just the best of the best and you would love them and work would be a joy. There is very little cherry picking going on, I am sure less than 5% across the board. I still prefer the smaller company though where everyone is former MT's - and not on a power quest and step all over you.

Your are right, I am not struggling NOW
I am working, my husband is working but I have worked long and hard in the past and just today got my first check from social security for working all that time in the past, the most 4 jobs at 1 time. I have now put in 48 years worth of work and still counting. I have paid my dues totally for me and some others. I still work because I love transcription. I have been where others are perhaps now, living on potatoes and beans each week to feed a family. I lived through it and could do again if I had to. If you can tell me what I can do NOT to pay bills, I will be glad to listen because I still have them to pay. Oh, my dinner out was the soup and salad at Olive Garden. Most know how much that costs, no drink, no appetizer.
I am so sorry for you and everyone who is struggling. nm
nm
poor and struggling
I feel for you; I am right there with you. BTW, my name, Fatcat, has to do with the fact that I am fat, not an allusion to being rich, ha ha. We live mostly on lentils and rice, sometimes hamburger once in a while if it is on sale. Please do not feel that you are alone. There are many of us in this same boat. I recently took on a second job just to be sure I always had work to support my family. God bless you. Hang in there.

Thought it was a little crackly today, but thought it was my speakers or the weather, what do I know?
I'm not a TTer
I have followed the discussions here about the insurance and I have to say I'm impressed that TT did something about it. Most companies say, sorry, that's the best we could do.
Thank you very much, TTer. nm
:)
Not TTer
How many American MTs does TT have?
Glad to know I'm not the only one struggling to get work -- sad. nm

Happy TTer here! nm

Where are you? Or another happy TTer?

Question for TTer's
Do they allow you to make up line shortages on your day off? I know some companies do and others don't. Just wondering what their policy is before considering them.
To Happy New TTer
Amen...Say it again really loud....speak the truth and SHAME the Devil.....Agree with you totally.....
You are so right, nuther TTer s/m
I can only imagine how much damage may be done by some of these posts.  I usually consider myself to be pretty level-headed and reasonable but those posts made me pretty upset:  #1 because I have been through some pretty underhanded things in years past and #2 because I read a second email saying to disregard the previous email and so deleted it without bothering to read it; thus I just assumed that the poster knew what he/she was talking about.  When I came down to earth, I sent off an email to management and got back an explanation so guess I won't be going into retirement too soon.  Seems like it makes more sense to address our concerns with the company for which we work before posting stuff on the internet that gives a company a black eye and then having it turn out to be unfounded.  We all make mistakes and in the case of TT, I would be furious if I were them, both because of the stuff that was posted as well as with the company they hired to handle the payroll.  I feel quite certain that if this HR service, or whatever it is called, doesn't live up to their expectations, they will be quick to fire them.  As far as I'm concerned, TT is still among the best companies out there today.  I didn't say perfect but then I'm not perfect myself either.
TTer - and other TT folks......
I am curious:

1. What is TT?
2. Are they hiring?
3. Do they pay decent cpl rates?
4. Are they flexible as far as work hours?
5. Do they use a platform and if so what platform(s) do they use?

TIA - feel free to email me.

No you can't. TTer down below is hogging all

According to TTer, she is the only one who can cut it. No candy for anyone today.
