OP, I was with you until...sm

You started acting like the MTs who do work on the weekends are somehow neglecting our family and Christian duties by working.  I just had to post and say that is definitely not the case in many instances.  I choose to work weekends (Friday through Sunday), so that my husband and I can watch our children instead of allowing someone else to do our job for us (i.e. daycare/school/babysitter).  We have the call to homeschool our children, which I do through the week, and weeknights are for us as family.  We struggle with just one income so I work 12 hours days both Fri and Sat, and an 8-hour day on Sunday to pick up the slack (as a prov. 31 woman), and my husband watches the children.

So in summary, it is great that you have the schedule that allows you to take care of your family needs, but don't think that people whose needs are not the same as yours aren't being christian enough or family-oriented enough.  The tone (not just of the OP, but other posters) was just a little judgmental to me.  Could have just come off that way in black and white, but just wanted to clarify for anyone thinking along those lines
