I was called and one of the first things they said was..
do you read the message boards and do you have any questions about what was said about our company??!! At that point i had not, but since i have browsed and looks like they are not a very well liked company?? I would like to verify this as well.
Being called on days off
I say you should be thankful about being called on days off -- think of those MTs not able to find work at all!! I certainly am grateful for whatever work I get.
Cool.....then from what I can figure out the company
Ny DoX out of New Delhi, India. What I want to know is how in the world would one of us (QT employee) get this kind of information in the first place?
Could be she has bad days - called being human
maybe it is just the bad applicants with chips on their shoulders and she really does know how to recognize talent from strut talk.
They called constantly on my days off
Work volumes were so low last year they knew we were desperate - so they called at all hours summoning us for an hour here or there, totally ruined the possibility of having a life.  I was full time and was working 7 days a week for less than 30 hours, they took all my PTO to round out my paychecks until it was gone, then expected me to sit by the phone and go bankrupt.  Supe was not surprised when I bailed, after 2 months of blowing sunshine about how it would get better soon and it only got worse.
MD-IT hiring - looks like a really cool company to work for... any advice/information?
I sure would love to know more about the company - a search of this forum turned up zilch.  I was with Medquist for 8 years, and the company I went to did not deliver on the acute care account I was hired for.....
It's called "professional pride" - people proud of the way "they" do things.
You can't win with these types of people, and I think you're right, it's trivial nonsense.  Best thing to do is leave and find a more reasonable employer - they're out there.
In the "old days", the machine on my desk that played the tapes was called the transciber. sm

People who type the dictation are called transcriptionists.  I realize in this new day and age where people would rather google, spell check and guess rather than look it up in a dictionary or other word reference and actually know the meaning of what they are typing, such things make little difference, but it means something to me.  I also have hated the word typist since I do so much more than just copy type.

I know ... pay me and you can call me anything is the predominating theory here.  I just have noted that it is usually the Indian-based company that uses the term transcriber.

There is a company called
in Texas that I would strongly recommend staying away from. I worked for this company for a little over a month but the platform made it way to hard to get any reports in. The pay was good but without reports, no $$$. Anyway, when speaking with these people I was told that they would pay for the return of the equipment if the position did not work out. When I decided to leave, I called and was instructed on how to return the equipment (foot pedal). Once doing this, I received a bill from Fed-Ex as now they are not going to pay for it. When I talked to them in June, I was told to fax them the bill and they would take care of it. Today, I received another bill from Fed-Ex. I'm going to pay this bill but I just wanted to let you all know how shady this company is.

When they are trying to suck you in they act all "Christian like" but when things don't work out the horns come out. Be careful!
Anyone know of a company called
Just Your Type Transcription out of Illinois?  Any opinions?
I called the company....sm
and the position has been filled.  I had applied for it as well.
Have you called the company?
I am sure you are posting here as a last resort, but just checking to see if you did call them first. I do hope you get your check. Big or little does not matter.... every penny is important here, as I am sure it is for you, too.
Have you called the company? nm
nm
There is a company called Documed, but I don't
think they are in TN.  Never heard of a company with the spelling you give.
I need some information on a company called
Astat, such as pay, platform, enough work, QA, loan PCs, etc.  TIA
its called the transcription company

Anyone know company called Palm-Med?

STAY AWAY!!! This company used to be called...

Quality Medical Transcription in Blue Springs, MO (which is not far from Pleasant Hill, MO), owned by the same contact person.  Not only do they offer ridiculous line rates (7 cpl w/o spaces IC status), when I worked with them my pay checks always bouced....that is after they would actually show up.

Unless you are just absolutely desperate for work....I sincerely do not recommend working for this family.

Also, check out the link below (same person/family)

That is what I just said. !0 days PTO, period. That includes vacation, sick days and personal days
They should have paid holidays so that you are paid if you take off. Also should inculde extra hours for sick days and personal days.

That annual raise of .002 is kind of a joke especially when at the same time they upped the minimum line requirement from 10,000 lines to 12,000 lines.

OSi just does not have the qualified people in management positions that I wish to work for.

I am glad that you are happy at OSi and all is working out for you. Their dishonesty and the way they treat people just does not work for me.

Of course they can get by cheaply by hiring unqualified people so that is very good for the owners.
Company called Transcription Unlimited (sm)

There used to be a company by that name in Independence, Missouri that was ran by Linda Hill.  Now I see it is a company that students of a community college in Kansas City do their internships at.

When I search for information on Transcription Unlimited it comes up with a company from out of state.

Any info appreciated.

Anybody ever hear of a company called Specialized Information Management?
Do they hire at home ICs?
There are lots of things a company can tell from
Maybe they don't care about how you pay your bills, but the credit report also has previous addresses (as in how many times you've moved) and previous companies you've worked for (as in how many times you've changed jobs). Also, if there are a lot of delinquent payments, they can assume you'll be interrupted at home (during your shift) with dunning calls. Personally, if I were an employee, I'd hire someone with late payments, knowing they need the job!!
Anyone heard of a company called Webscribe. Think they are in the Kansas City, Mo area. (nm)

Several months ago a company called Charts in Time (CIT) hired some MTs off here. Just wondering how
it turned out for those MTs as I turned it down and wondered if I should have taken the job. Thanks.
I don't know of any company that gives more than 5 days

PTO the first year.  Most have a percentage they use to calculate, not sure what that is.

If you are more concerned with having days off than you are of having them off with pay then the IC route would probably be the way to go.  There may be companies that offer more than 5 days PTO the first year, but you'll be hard pressed to find one.

Just like any other company these days
x
You were there 3 whole days and you think you know the company? Wow, sm
talk about a snap judgment. Sounds like you are thin-skinned.
