Diskriter Florida hospital employees
Would anyone that works for the Florida hospital as a hospital employee through Diskriter care to share their experience?  Any info is appreciated, good or bad. Thanks!  Have a great and productive day!
At Diskriter, that hospital system in Florida that they do .... SM

is anyone familiar with it?  There seems to be a lot of turnover - do you think it's because of bad dictators, bad sound, or what??

cannot speak for Diskriter, but do know there are many ESL doctors in Florida.

Florida Hospital Diskriter Position sm

I have been looking through the archives..  I was interested in applying to the Diskriter Florida hospital position but I had heard that you had to take a drug test, credit check, criminal background check and a pre-employment physical.

Is that true?  Especially about the preemployment physical.  I just find that completely weird..

It is weird. I worked for the Florida Hospital thru Diskriter.... SM

back in 2005 when Diskriter first landed the gig.  I had to take a drug test, see my personal doctor for a physical and have him fill a very long and involved form, and get a TB test all for a facility I would never set foot in!  It took three long weeks for me to get through all the red tape and actually start the job.

The work was okay, but it ran out and you had no secondary account because you were employed by the hospital.  So if you wanted a backup account, then you had to go through more red tape to actually be an employee of Diskriter too and there was a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo that came with that because Diskriter was managing the transcription department for this hospital and the hospital had a contract that said that Diskriter could not put the hospital's employees on Diskriter accounts without express consent from the hospital.

The supervisor of the hospital employees was employed by Diskriter and was incompetent.  We weren't able to get sample reports, normals, etc. out of her.  We always got the standard I'll look into that or It's in the works.  It seemed she had no contact with the hospital HIM department at all.  However, they could have a new person in that position now.  Like I said it was all brand spanking new back then.

Oh and your benefits were out of Florida.  So unless you're planning on flying into Florida to see a doctor or have an operation, you're basically screwed.  The bennies may have changed too by now though -- so who knows.

After three months, I just decided it was all just too much and left.  All the hoops I jumped through to get the job and then to have the job be such a disappointment was just irritating!

Diskriter is always hiring
I notice almost every week that Diskriter is hiring, not only here but on other sites as well.  Does anyone work for them that can give the pros and cons of this company?  Do they need MTs because of loss/high turnover or do they acquire that many new accounts to support their constant advertising?
I lost an acct with MQ, called the hospital and they told me who had the acct. I chose not to go wi

Older posts about them have the MTs bouncing from acct to acct and not being able to make

My acct mgr sent an update this morning stating a large acct sm
starting next week; another in 2 more weeks; another in early October; and another in November. This is just a normal end of summer / holiday slowdown. I'm sure other posters on this board are also out of work due to the same circumstances.
Not on cardiology acct, but do work for SGS.
Can I help?
May I ask? Do you who have no work do acute, ASR, have more than 1 acct? (sm)
The company I work for has had people who didn't have work while there was tons of OT in other accounts. Come to find out some of them (not all) refused to do ASR or Voice Recognition, they did only clinics or ERs and refused to flex their hours to help get their lines in.

Is this pretty much the case with Webmedex or do you think they have just over-hired MTs and don't have enough work to go around.

I see they are hiring again, that is why I am asking, not to start anything. Please do not be offended by my questions.

Thanks.
It's how many reports you sent to QA for each acct. you work on. NM

Ok, let me rephrase that: We are on OT *and* have a ton of work on my acct. nm

Give it a whirl. I WAS on that same acct, same pay. Asked and got put on an acct just as bad, so I

Ask to be put on another acct. I'm part time and work
full time hours because our account is always behind.
They have lots O' work depending on the acct.
If you're on an account with terrible sound quality and very heavy ESL, then they have tons of work for you.  If the particular account has no problems with the platform, you can bet there won't be work.  They advertise all the time because they have tons o' work on certain accounts and they have tons o' turnover in both accounts and MTs.
More than 1 backup acct? Able to work more than 8hrs or not? Is OT
s
I know the MTs that work this acct. load them from a pool. However, sm
I think that is a very good idea - batching docs and/or specialties together.  I wonder why they don't do that, and I am going to ask!  Thanks!  If you saw my post above, there are a total of 37 specialties on my list, made up of approx. 4-5 docs in each specialty, so I'm looking at learning well over 100 doctors in only 40 hrs. of training?  That's a joke.
I work for MTSO and know the hospital acct
I work on is a big one, just do not know how many MTs that on this particular account. When you say you correct only erroneous text I am not really sure what you mean by this. I correct everything I see that is an error so can you explain further as far as erroneous. Do you read the entire report as it goes or ?
I haven't needed more work - there is plenty on my acct

How was your acct at Amphion? I have a HORRIBLE acct...

I am new to Amphion and have this account that has a lot of account specifics, no automatic ADT (which means I have to search for the names, etc) which is not a problem for me, but there is one dictator who is ALWAYS awful, and I have been getting him back to back to back my first week with Amphion.  Did you find that you basically only had 1 or 2 dictators while there or did you have more?  Of course, I would not mind doing him occasionally but can't do this all day.  I will never be able to make any money, especially at the line rate that I am being paid.  I have 2 children of my own and 3 of my sister's children in my care.  I cannot afford to do this everyday and don't know what to do.  I work as an IC for another company making 9 cents a line, which is much more than Amphion, but really wanted employee status so was willing to make a little less, but I am afraid it is not going to work.  I do not want to have to find yet another company and start all over with them to only find out that they suck too.  Any suggestions?

Usuall plenty of work - demand a secondary or tertiary acct. nm

Is this company in Florida that runs out of work? I think we must have the same job LOL
Heaven help us.. I cant have anymore down time.. I'm starving here..
I also work for a company in Florida and we're running

low on work, just within the past 10 days. I know it's due to the hurricane though. My main account was in New Orleans and just isn't dictating and won't be for a while, I guess. They didn't dictate each day but when they did send work about 3 times a week, I could work for 2 straight days w/o running out of their work. I type a lot of lines each day and for me and the others on that account, we are now on our secondary and third accounts which takes takes work away from others.

Does anyone have info on ATSI in Florida?: Good or bad to work for? thanks! nm

Does MedScribe in Florida do clinic work and/or hire

I work for a company in Florida too who gladly pays state taxes because
they know it is the law.
Anyone work at Diskriter, who can tell me how it's like, pay, work load, supes, etc. Thanks
nm
I work for Diskriter.
They're fair, they pay on time, they have plenty of work.
I used to work for Diskriter...
and, I agree, they are a great company to work for, but I'm not going to knock another MT if she states she had a bad experience there. Diskriter did have their fair share of problems in the past with management, the overtime issue, etc. Good to hear people are happy there because theren't many places we can say that about anymore.
Does anyone work for Diskriter?sm
They sure have a lot of ads and I was just wonder if anyone had any experience working for them and why so many ads.
I work for Diskriter
I have worked for them since July 2006 and so far they have been great. Very professional, excellent help, excellent pay and great benefits (a little pricy, but worth it.) I would recommend them to anyone.
Anybody work for Diskriter?
I looked through the posts but didn't find anything recent.  Any info?
What's it like to work for Diskriter?

nm

I work for Diskriter, no complaints
give it a shot - - can't hurt to talk to them, everyone can say they have had a poor experience at one place or another - -no problems with management, pay, everyone is nice, communicate with other MTs on my account daily, my 2 cents
Try going to Diskriter. Plenty of work

How is Diskriter as a company to work for? Thanks. nm

What is work load and pay like for Diskriter?
nm
Why are they hiring when we run out of work every day?
x
I work for TTS and they are hiring.
nm
Why do these placed keep hiring if work is low.
I have been working with OSi for a week, and have already run out of work even though the recruiter told me there was plenty. Talked to a few people online, and everybody says they are always low. I feel manipulated, and I turned down several offers to take this job. I am going to see if any of the offers are still open.
R they hiring where you work?
NM
Diskriter used to be a great company to work for
but I do not know what happened. They lost a LOT of office staff, as well as transcriptionists, and I am one of them. The management became horrible, the work was either there or not there on days, mandatory overtime, etc. I doubt they have changed. After 5 years I had to let go and move on.
Diskriter. NEW information on pay, work, QA, good, bad? NM

Re Diskriter, anyone work for the PA teaching hospital they have? SM
If so, can you post your opinion here?  Or you may email me if you'd like.  Thanks.
