I got an automated email shortly after and received info from Debra shortly after that. NM
.
I worked for them shortly. They were very nice and paid well and on time. sm
This what I did not like. On the account I had, each report had to be saved separately and then individually sent. It seemed to take a lot of time monkeying around with each separate file which was only about 10 to 11 lines long. I do know that not all of their accounts are like this. They were extremely nice people and paid well!!
Very disorganized. I worked for them for like a
They owner will IM you to death for 8 hours straight.  Yes, IM is a requirement.  Meditech was the platform, which is horrible.
A LITTLE hard to understand????
Did you ever figure out how much you would have been paid on the report you just edited and ALMOST COMPLETELY RETYPED compared to your editing pay????
It's really not hard to understand (sm)

When people pitch in and help, they get within the TAT again (especially at the end of a pay period) It's not rocket science.

Trying hard to understand your post, and you
could very well be on the QA staff at OSi.  OR could also be management.  Trust me, there are many people who have a lot to say about the insanity at OSi.
nm=no message inside. Can't believe it's so hard to understand. nm

I meant to say rerecord does not sound good on DQS. Very hard to understand even when
doctors dictate into a recorder and put in on the system.
Haven't worked for them but I'm pretty sure
I've seen postings about this company on this board before. Try doing an archive search.

If I remember correctly it's owned by a very nice lady but she's really a ditz so the company's very disorganized.

Double check the archives to make sure though.
When I worked for JLG, it was pretty strict sm
about work schedules. I did not realized they kept track of my time via the ICQ messenger, which I kept turning off because of persistent, numerous, disruptive, and annoying messages from people on the Net I didn't know. I didn't realize this and had to make up for time they claimed I didn't work but actually did. Maybe it's better now.
You're right - have never worked this hard.
nm
Olive Oyl, I am pretty sure you worked there before, Why didn't you ask then? Why do you keep c
posing questions in an inflammatory manner about TransTech? If you want to go back, just call them and see if they will rehire you. If not, just leave well enough alone. Transtech has never been anything but fair to me and as the above posted said we are rewarded for doing good work. I don't know who told you that they never give raises but that simply isn't true. My experience has been that if I prove myself as a good, loyal and dedicated MT they have been fair with me. Either go back or go away.
Who did your training? When I worked there, I was trained from someone in India, very hard to
understand what he was saying. Communication is less than ideal as there seems to a language barrier and comprehensive. I used to think NO was a universal language but to them it just means keep asking until the other person is so frustrated they are ready to reach in through the phone lines or IM and tear out your vocal cords LOL. Joking aside. Awful experience. I worked too hard, made too little and the HR person was the worst EVER.. real airhead.
Worked out to a pretty good hourly rate, just not the right company for me. nm
,,
I do not understand. I have used 2 different VPNs, and everything worked fine. sm
In fact, I used ExText also for 2 different clients, when some said it would not work.  Perhaps your tech just did not want to take the time to help you with it.  ?
Yes, and very shortly (see inside)
The assumptions that we're 'slow typists', 'newbies', or whatever other negative insinuations that can be construed will start flying.

I'd been an MT for 15 years before VR came along. I went into it with an open mind and took an immediate liking to it.

While it might not be for everyone, I sometimes get so exasperated with other posters insinuating that because an MT enjoys VR, that MT must be somehow inferior or incompetent.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who enjoys it :-)
I left SPi shortly before that happened
I wasn't all that surprised when I read about it. I was working for Cymed when they were bought out by SPi. Everything went down hill after that happened. There was less and less work each day, constantly changing management, and lots of other problems. I finally got fed up and changed companies and have been very happy ever since. Not too long after I left SPi, I came on here and read about that massive layoff. I knew it was coming, but I was kind of surprised that it happened so soon. This was over 2 years ago, but I'm still glad that I got out of there when I did!
Couldn't you just check the email that was sent out shortly after the editing

Didn't it say there would be no more incentive bonuses for editing??  You may have a lot of typing now, but it isn't going to be that way for long.

nope, not me, NOPE Worked to hard and long to sm
know what I know, my expertise is worth more and constant updating . Keep looking on the job boards. Email and ask if VR, pay for space and lowest to highest line rate for the POSITION (generic question) not I have 20 years exp. etc
They still seem to be disorganized from what I can tell, but
I didn't have any of the particulars as far as pay, etc.   Their test was a killer though.
Very disorganized...just me...nm

nm

Still very disorganized. sm
IMHO, there are some pretty big problems especially in the communications department. They do pay on time and you probably would have enough work if you asked for more than one account. But I think they should have some hard internal come-to-Jesus meetings and get organized before they take on more accounts and more people.
very disorganized, no work, low pay
spare yourself the agony!
After one week of working for them, I notified them about my wish to terminate the contract (2 wks notification required). After completing the full 3 wks (luckily I found a good company to work for!), I sent them invoice for (whatever little available) work done amounting to $65 (hahaha! what a joke!!!) and still have not received any payment...
Don't waste your time and talent.
The point is that they are disorganized

and unprofessional....

that is the point, not that the recruiter was out to get her but that the recruiter is lazy and incompetent and too lazy to come up with a better excuse or a better way of presenting the position.

Very disorganized company. nm
nm
I had the same experience, very disorganized - sm
I had to wait about 6 weeks for my first check, that alone made me nervous but I did get paid w/o issue every 2 weeks after the initial wait. I only used C-phone and word though no platform. Agree with the bad QA, nice enough people though very, very disorganized.
They seem to be terribly disorganized, trying to
change procedures, added new staff, adding lots of new accounts and I guess they are just overloaded.  I would definitely recommend a phone call.  Usually after that things get rolling.
This company is very, very disorganized.
They seem to be very nice people, but they really need to evaluate the way they do things and put a checks and balances system in place so that people don't fall through the cracks. I was in disbelief at the experience that I had with Keystrokes. I just moved on.

One should not have to keep reminding a company that they have hired you and that you need to get started. Unbelievable. I am not bashing...just sharing my opinion of this company.
They are ok. Kind of disorganized but

VERY disorganized company.
The supervisors are not MT's and it's hard to get any information.  I have a second interview Tuesday elsewhere and will be moving on.
Not only disorganized but I found
less than knowledgeable.  Based on her answers to my questions I concluded she had no experience as an MT which didn't sit well with me as I think she also doubled as the transcription supervisor also.  Based on my interview and then prior posts about this company regarding QA issues, platform and dictators I decided to keep looking as I didn't get a feeling there would be stability with this company.
They weren't rude with me, but a little disorganized and
not looking out for my best interests, but the interests of their client, which I guess is the way it should be since the client is paying for their services.  As far as I know there are 2 women that run this company, I have not talked with the owner and maybe she was the one rude, but the woman I dealt with was not rude, just a little dingy and maybe not 100% truthful about the company that she was recommending.  All TM did though was screen me and then I still had to go through the testing/interview process with the company.  I had had contact with the referred company previously and had even been offered a position with them, which I turned down.  The pay rate offered to me by TM and the pay rate offered to me by the company were the same.  I declined referral to the company, being that I had already declined an offer from them and I never heard from TM again.
I think they use different programs, very confusing and disorganized
nm
When I was there a year ago, they were VERY disorganized but still micromanaged and
:+
MDI-FL, very disorganized. Agree with poster (sm)

They get nasty at MDI-FL and answers to questions ignored if they don't like the question being asked.  Paid time off is NEVER correct and good luck getting the time listed on the stub.  Work flow is hit and miss.  They order you off and then back on with VR accounts.  Pay and insurance benefits are better than most if you tolerate their demands and disrespect.

Do you find it a very disorganized company?
x
Transcend is so incredibly disorganized.
They need to get their act together before they buy another company. Nobody knows what the other is doing, poor communication all around.
I am thinking they are disorganized and shorthanded with admin
That is the impression I get.... and they called and told me not to call back because they are constantly on the phone. okay so ? But ?
Shapin...unprofessional, disorganized, let go without any warnings at all.
I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!
Drs. who are so disorganized you get a 15-minute report and wind up
Drives me NUTS!
I thought their training was AWFUL. Disorganized, sm...
and way late on feedback (it took me more than 24 hours to get feedback on my first training day)! I lasted about 30 minutes into the second day and said I'M DONE! The platform, IMO, is rather cumbersome, as well. No DD for 90 days, as I recall. All in all, I would suggest to look elsewhere, but this is JUST MY OPINION!
Very disorganized. Unqualified ppl in upper managment

Three words..Feast or Famine.., disorganized, and bad communication, anything else??
I wish I had more positives other than pay is on time. That is about the only positive at all.
Great bennies but extremely disorganized and out of work a lot. nm
nm
Precyse. Disorganized, low work, broken promises.
nm
Disorganized. If you aren't the favorite, then forget it. Never enough work
so you can work your schedule.  But if you don't get your line count, you are expected to do whatever it takes to make it.  Keep looking -- there are better companies out there. not to mention you'll get talked about behind your back
Keystrokes-disorganized accounts, broken promises, moody owner
.
Busy does not mean disorganized. I would rather work for a busy company sm
than one with no work. I started with Keystrokes 3 months ago and it is the best thing I ever did. I have a steady paycheck and plenty of work.
I worked for a temp agency for 3 years..LOVED it. Just worked. No counts, no hassels, GREAT pay..
No benefits at the time.  I even learned pathology while temping (8 months on that assigment).  I loved the variety, the ability to say I'm not available such and such time.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I didn't need benefits.
A company is ONLY supposed to verify that someone worked there, what dates they worked, whether PT o
and last date worked. It opens everyone up to a lawsuit if more is given, so most companies are told by their attorneys and business advisors to verify only.

No one has a right to a reference, only verification of employment.
It worked! Latest suggestion from DJ's email worked. nm
