what a joke, you could make more working as a cashier
at a grocery store for that amount. I tested for them to see if the work was as easy as they say and the sound quality was terrible. Definitely not worth it.
Sorry, but I made more than that as a grocery cashier 7 years ago (nm)

The regular local post office
Do you live in a small town? (Not sure if thatshould really matter). I live in a medium size town near a semi-large city in NY. The reason I ask is if I mail something to my relatives out of state or even if they send me something in never takes more than 2 days, that's why I thought 10 days sounded excessive. Are you sure they're mailing the pay checks when they say they are?
The post was made on a Sunday night -- no one in the office really to ask then. sm
And it seemed a harmless question.   He/she wasn't really asking a policy question ... just a general question regarding when the payday is.  Most companies that I have worked for, if the payday is over a weekend, they pay on Friday.  Unfortunately, that is not the case here, but at least they are upfront about it, and it says so in the paperwork somewhere.
Kind of hard to blame the post office when
the company hasn't even mailed it!
Problem resolved. Was a post office issue apparently. nm
nm
I wouldn't waste my time calling the Post Office
Breitner is dishonest when it comes to their check mailing and check amounts. Same thing happened to me when I worked there and I went through the steps tracking it down.  They ended up cutting me another check (weeks later) - ITS ALL A STALL TACTIC.  Find employment elsewhere.  This will continue to happen until you leave the company.  Good Luck.
Today is Columbus day, and state offices and post office
is closed. Perhaps some docs took a long weekend. Maybe that is why on this particular Monday the work is trickling in. I am just getting some work now. So maybe it will come in later. Just an idea, about it being a holiday.
Why? Why do you care if someone misspells something in their post?

I am not the OP, but I am so sick of condescending little bee-atches who have this insatiable need to feel superior so they critique every single post to death.  Who gives a rat's tail if she typed advise when she meant advice?  WE ALL got the point!  WE ALL knew what she meant.

This is a casual, networking forum.  I do not get paid for the freaking lines I type on MT Stars!  If I did, then maybe I would take the time to proofread and spellcheck!

Do us all a favor and take that keyboard outta ya butt and relax a little bit!  Sheesh!

Yes, and because your neighbor gets
knocked around even worse by her hubby, you're actually glad yours is not that bad.  And maybe you sorta think you deserve a good smack once and awhile.  And when people say should call the police, you answer that you don't want to ''make him any madder'' and besides, him being in jail, what good would that do you as far as paying the rent?
While I agree with most of your post and honestly could care less,
by being the one posting what you do - posting your business - well, that's what brought the whole subject of you up!!  No one is sitting around here wondering what Busy MTing is doing!!  And, yes, you picked 2 companies who are in direct competition with each other - big time! I can't tell from your post cause I think you made a typo - I believe you're saying that MQ is not aware either, though I'm not sure.  Having worked for both at one time as well - BEEN THERE DONE THAT - literally, I assure you that both would be interested to know, though MQ might not act on it! Again, no threat, no worrying, and you already stated you don't care. But not one of us would have mentioned one single syllable about "your business" had you NOT been the one to post it!! Get it?
I dont care if they ban me I'll post it

Longish post here sm if you care, ignore if you don't
1) TT is a great company with many great people.
2) ASR is underpaid, over pushed, no real support or help at TT.
3) They are talking out of both sides of their mouths. Disingenuous to talk up ASR when they know that it doesn't give them as much profit as traditional, but they will talk it up. See below.
4) Some short-sighted business plans have been made by the company. They simply failed to see the handwriting on the wall.
5) Management doesn't have it as good as you think. They have had their lovely benefits packages CUT.
6) They are not in financial difficulty YET. They aren't for sale AT THIS POINT.
7) I have moved on. I got out the day they pushed ASR for us all.

The problem starts with the fact that, like so many other companies, they are in Dictaphone's back pocket, or shall we say that Dictaphone is running the puppet strings. Dictaphone jerks and the puppet companies fly. The ASR that TT is pushing is not their fault, nor is what they can afford to pay their fault. We can't work for free, we have to make enough to pay us, pay for our managers and support people, AND help the company be profitable so that we have work. They are trying to stay afloat just like the rest of us.

The idea that anyone is getting rich at TT is a joke. They are all messin' in their pants trying to figure out how to stay in business. They are NOT alone! Lots of companies who use Extext, Escription, Nuance etc. are in the same boat...except for Focus who is owned by Dictaphone. We all know the deal with Focus.

I can't sit and say nasty stuff about TT. I made good money there for quite a while. That ended, I moved on, but I am not holding a grudge and I won't slam them.

Grow up and move on!
Meridian here too. :) Hi neighbor!
/
You're my neighbor!
I'm in Rome.
They must have misunderstood. My neighbor started with them sm
just 2 weeks ago and was give rates for Unicare and told that it may change but at this point, Unicare is what is offered. They know what the rates are. There is only one recruiter, and she is the same one that hired me, hired my neighbor and hired a few others I know.

If this person works there, she should ask for rates. Obviously, she has not or she would know what the rates are.
patients
I agree.  The patients are ALREADY losing.
If you go to the same store every day and spend a lot of money and your neighbor
and the storeowner gives your neighbor a $50 discount for being a new shopper, would you feel entitled to a discount because you gave the shopper so much of your business? Better yet, big insurance companies send a lot of business to doctors and hospitals and they get discounts on the medical bills that individual patients with no insurance can't get.  Are the big insurance companies entitled to this because they give more business than the individual patients?
Or lost in the mail. My neighbor came back from
vacation yesterday and went down to pick up their mail they had on hold. They had at least 17 pieces of my mail in their hold box from the last 2 weeks, 1 of which was the nice card from MDI with a gift certificate.

Don't always blame a company for things not arriving.
Hate to say it but most patients have no..
clue about who types their medical records or where they go. I'd say the average Joe who doesn't work in the medical field or know an MT personally doesn't even think about their medical records unless they change docs or go to a specialist, and then it's just to ask the receptionist or whoever to fax their records to another office.

There may be a few people out there(very, very few) who have read an article or watched a news program about off shoring of medical records. However, I bet the average person is more worried about their co-pay, wait time to see the doc, etc. when they go to their doctor's office. Not because they are ignorant or don't care, just simply because it's not something most people would even think about.

Sure there might be some people that would be upset that their records were going out of the United States if they were told, but lets face it, it's not exactly information doctor's offices are volunteering to their patients, and most people would think to ask about such a thing.

I personally think it should be a law that they have to disclose that information to each patient, just like receiving the HIPAA paperwork, but I don't see that happening anytime soon unfortunately.
Supposedly this was not real patients - sm
Someone in authority checked and it was supposedly test patients that sounded very real.  I don't know for sure as I don't work there but this is what was said.
If enough patients start asking that question, it will
.
Yeah, but the AMA doesn't encourage patients to go
Yes, it happens.  But the AMA doesn't encourage it.  The AAMT on the other hand has done more to systematically destroy the MT profession than any other organization out there.
and if patients start going only to doctors who do not offshore....
nm
So can the sick patients on weekends "bite you" too?? nm
.
Computter computer? Now what are you talking about? Honestly, you're like a nosy neighbor
budding into halfway thru a conversation! What are you talking about getting fired on a computer?  You are lame, girl!! We WERE having an adult conversation here. BusyMTing and I are understanding each other just fine! Go back outside and play with your friends!
I feel sorry for your patients. I've seen the transcription from India. NM

Generally, with holidays, patients put off elective procedures, sm

more doctors take off, and generally you can count on a lighter workload, especially with Christmas and Thanksgiving.   I tell myself I will save up and prepare for it, but usually I end up scrounging frantically for work, so do not feel alone.

Oh, and pay no attention to the whining comments.  Most of us have compassion and understand the panic that cam come along when you realize you have run out of work for the day or whatever.

Hang in there ... it will get better.

The main office was in Bolingbrook but they built an office in Yorkville last fall. SM
I think that the owners live in Yorkville, so it was built close to their house. Nice office, just pretty far out.
Just curious, is the MQ Nashville office the old Lanier office? nm
nm
I don't work in the office and never claimed to. I am just saying that since the new office open
October with everyone of the admin staff in one place, these problems do not occur any more.
Well, I know that MTs from my office have quite MQ and they dont post on here but I dont know how
many. I think MTs with MQ may be getting second jobs and just working for 2 different places at the same time which is probably the smart thing to do anymore because MQ will continue with this short TAT and as it spreads throughout other  offices people will continually be running out of work especially after going on DQS.
Can't get paid in the office if you don't work in the office.
JLG has MT's working at home, not in the office, not to mention working out of state.  The mail is the only way to get paid since they have temporarily suspended direct deposit.  The only ones getting paid on time are the ones that do work in the office, like the management and people answering the phone.
Closed FW office, Indianapolis office too. nm
xx
Didnt think of it cause I dont care. Wouldnt care if
x
My post should say the post above not the post below, Sheryl's post to be specific. nm
nm
Of course they care. They care you make just a tad bit
this way they don't have to shell out the sign ons, the full-time benefits. Oh, they keep watch on how you are doing and their budget. THey will use you til you drop and try to tell you that it is your lack of skills or speed keeping you from the full time pay which a person can't even pay bills with to begin with. Imagine that.. Use your skills, work hard, try your best, do well on QA, but make short of full time so no benefits, no extras, and no paying bills. This adds up to you broke, them rich, and a no-win situation... for the MT that is...

Read Spherson's post below, who admits, in the post, they do pay it.

Peachy, your post is interesting, but my post now is irrelevent but
A few weeks ago I went to my clinic where they had recently implemented EHR or EMR, whichever you call it, and the doctor's back was to me the whole time he and I conversed because his nose was stuck in his laptop. To me, it felt a little more impersonal, but I understand he was doing what he had to do, but it seems like the bedside manner may go to the wayside if the doctors can't even look at you when they are asking you questions or you are speaking to him/her. I know this is relevant to your original post, but just an interesting fact that I had not anticipated. Anyone else experience this?
Which office?
/
been through three office changes in the last 10

Went from 7 cents a line to now 9.5 cpl, on this current account going on three years, the one before that, five years, and the one before that two.  My opinion, i'm a good MT and they treat me as such.  Do you work your schedule?  Do you do PLUS lines while maintaining quality?  Are you up their butt constantly asking for raises?  Take tons of time off?  They are weeding out the awful MTs by starving them of work!!!

Which office is this.
:
Are you an MT in the office currently
I do not know which office you are from; if you are hearing rumblings,it is probably true. Many offices are closing and I do not know why. I was told my office was closing because there was no need for it?? It closed this September. Is your office being transferred to another region?

I am sure you will keep your position but at what cost I do not know. I am still waiting for the PACKET to come and I am nervous about that myself.

You are not alone. We are all feeling this re-structuring and in my opinion things do not look good.

Try not to let it get to you too much. MQ is not worth it.
I have been upset for 3 months now and will be making a big decision on what to do in the next few weeks.

Hope things work out for you.
what office are you with? nm

I sent one to the office, too. nm

TT office help
I have had plenty of work too. I guess it depends what accounts you are on. As far as office help, I always get a prompt response to any question or need I have. Why would it matter how much office work they have?
TT office help
I mean why would it matter how much office help they have, duh!
They also have an office in ....sm
southwestern Indiana, but when you call that office you speak to an Indian male. Go figure.
