I'm sorry some people on here ponce on everything. They are not helpful, just hurtful. Of course, a perfect marriage is what everybody wants - do people get married to be miserable and end up divorced? of course not. Divorce is not always a terrible thing for a child - a great or even good marriage where parents can live together in peace would be better than divorce but is not always possible. He needs time to adjust to the change and maybe he does need a little counseling, but I think he will be fine, with time and patience.
