I actually think this one is cute, but my boyfriend who is actually very educated says (sm)

He gets *heart flapitations* and I thought it was so adorable I've never corrected him.  Don't worry, this is during moments of *ahem* intense exercise; he does not need medical attention!

I'm very educated.

I can feel it in my gut.  Politics is all about judging!  Get a grip!

I guess it can't get any worse with our affiliation with foreign countries so why not let us be run by a foreigner as well?  Ya' think it's bad now?  Just wait if he gets elected into office.

If I had a closed mind, I wouldn't be curious to see if a woman can handle some of these situations better than a man.  Do you think because her husband is a nympho that she doesn't deserve a chance?  Motherly instincts are a virtue; maybe we need a "mother" in the White House.

Plus the media has a lot to do with our opinions, so.....  I'll leave it at that.

Now yours is funny because you said educated guess?
That is a good one. Sounds like the poster has never been south of the Mason/Dixon line. Funny!
I hear you on that one, and it DEFINITELY pays to check out the US educated M.D.'s as
well...some of the horror stories I have heard from OR nurses give one pause to check out any MD before ANY SURGICAL PROCEDURE!
Federal laws require that students be educated....sm
on their level however it gets frustrating for parents when their child isn't "normal" and they have to fight with schools to get their child educated. It's crazy that your nephew was passed from school to school without being able to read. As a foster parent I had a prior foster child that came to me in the 5th grade but could really only read at a 1st grade level and was very behind in all subjects.... yet her report cards from her prior schools all gave her A's and B's and commented on what a wonderful student she was. I busted my butt working with the caseworkers to get her the extra assistance she needed to get caught up and teaching her how to work around her learning disabilities, which were diagnosed while she was with me. Did the school want to cooperate? No.... but all it took was one letter from an education attorney to get them to realize that we were going to force them to educate this child instead of passing her own without helping her and then they started working with us. Crazy thing is that the federal laws require it, provide the money for it but the schools don't want to deal with the paperwork or having to do it... and they prefer just changing grades for kids and passing them on instead of helping them. This sends these kids on the dead-end street because they eventually graduate without any skills and oftentimes it goes downhill from there.

When I was growing up we had 1 teacher to maybe 10 or 15 students, and the teachers had time to work with the kids individually as they needed it. Now the schools want to cram as many kids into a classroom as they can, don't give teachers any help and on top of that expect the teachers to spend money on supplies, yet my property taxes keep going up to pay for the schools and I'm in a growing area with new houses being slapped up faster than you can say your name.

It's wrong that the schools don't give a crap when a child isn't "normal" and they want to pass them on without helping them, and they expect the parents to bail them out. Sure as a parent I'm willing to do my part but I'm not going to spend time doing all of the education of a child regardless of whether they're biological or foster, especially if the school isn't trying to educate them during the day.
again, weak comparison; we are educated in BCP now, she is famous and rich

Don't know, but if he was my new boyfriend
I would try to put a stop to it or walk away. But that's just me.
My boyfriend & Sex.
LOL, just kidding!!!:)
I had a boyfriend that was gay.
I wasn't completely surprised when he told me as I think I knew in my heart he was. Little clues here and there. The best you can do is talk to him about it. Good luck to him and to you!
Only had 1 boyfriend and I married him
Starting dating at 15, got married when I was 20. I was always too shy to talk to boys ;-)
That reminded me of a boyfriend I had
once who repeatedly had to go to the ER because he superglued his eyelashes shut. He was in his late teens and liked to build model cars, and I guess he couldn't remember not to touch his eye with superglue on his hand.
He was a friend of ex-boyfriend
When I was 18, my boyfriend and I broke up. I started dating my husband, and the ex started dating a girl that hated me, who he also eventually married. I got to keep all his friends though because they liked me better than his future bride! Wasn't high school great?!? All that drama.

We are still together 26 years later and still friends with the same gang of guys. Minus the ex, of course! LOL
Doing for her boyfriend's enjoyment?
There is a real old saying, think it goes "fool's names and fool's faces are often seen in public places." She was old enough to know better. Want to act adult, let her suffer some adult sized consequences. I feel no sympathy for the girl.
high school boyfriend . . .
Emailed me through classmates.com. We talked on the phone a few times. He sent me pictures of reunions that I never went to. Turns out our lives took very similar paths. A few other classmates Emailed as well.
My high school boyfriend went on to become a
comic. While he is not famous yet, he has done pretty well and he was on CMT a few weeks ago with a couple of other comedians. So funny you ask this today, my parents are at Grocery Food convention about 7 hours from here and he was actucally the entertainment last night. He goes by Kelly Terranova.
Boyfriend always interrupts my sentences

I can almost never finish a sentence.  Doesn't matter what I'm saying, or when, or where, I get cut off.  If I manage to string 2 or 3 short sentences together he is already off in dreamland and either cuts me off to go to a topic he likes or else he just isn't listening.  As a result of all this he doesn't hear the sometimes-critical information that I provide.

I've tried just not saying anything when he does this, just clamming up and thinking he will ask me to repeat what I said....but he doesn't.  He doesn't even notice!!

I have also gotten testy, weepy and upset and at times even-tempered and sincere in asking him to please let me finish my sentences but I don't get very far because...you guessed it....he doesn't let me finish that request....

Any other ideas?  I know there must be other women/men with this problem from their spouses/significant others.

My sister's former boyfriend was almost 60 and bragging that he could get s/m

a woman in her 20s. Always looking, always bragging, always wanting. What a joke.  I met many guys in their 50s trying to find woman in their 20s and 30s. I guess anyone can dream.

The operative word here is boyfriend...

which we all know can come and go. You are his mother, it doesn't matter if you all live together, you should be the one deciding and planning things with the teacer. Until he is the stepfather or has adopted him, he should have little to no input about child rearing. Is this the person who will be responsible for your children if God forbid anything should happen to you? If so, then by all means he should be more involved. Hate to be blunt, but this relationship could always end. You're the mom, he is a person who lives in the house.

Cheating spouse/boyfriend, etc.
Many years ago I was married to a cheating spouse. I was pregnant with our second child when he took it upon himself to cheat with an underage girl in the back of our brand new station wagon. Well, I learned about this when a paternity suit came up with his name on it. Apparently he was so dumb that he did not know the girl had a boyfriend and being the sucker that he was he did not know that they would pin the paternity on him, and get money from him. Too bad it wasn't in this day and time because he would have been in jail because she was only 17, and he was in his 30s. This was only 1 in a string of women that I found out after the fact, and even contracted an STD when I was pregnant!! I also suffered spousal abuse, and have the scars to prove it. After 5 years of this I got out,and the only reason I stayed was for the children, but that was a huge mistake on my part. Now, whenever, I hear or see this on a program it makes me furious that these men think this behavior is okay. It is never okay and leaves many people, including children, to suffer much heartache.
My daughter's boyfriend's hair is the
most gorgeous long blond hair you have ever seen. It just makes me sick!!!!!!!!!
haha, my boyfriend was just telling me about this....
Less than 2,000, but the cost of living and such there compared to here, wonder how much it would be if they sold it around here? But, it has no air bags, uses "adhesive" instead of welded on parts, I wonder how great and safe of a car that would really be?
I married my twin sister's boyfriend
:)
If I allowed my daughter to have a live in boyfriend I would at least
have put her on Depo. What did she think was gonna happen?

p.s.--he's NINTEEN!!
Question about son, school, teacher, and boyfriend

Okay, please tell me I am wrong -

Today I went to my son's school for a parent/teacher conference.  My boyfriend went on Monday to pick up his report card, as my son, daughter, and I were out of state at a funeral.  My son did not do well at all this marking period and it is basically due to his laziness.  Well, evidently, on Monday the teacher and the boyfriend had a lengthy discussion and came up with the punishment and the plan for the next 9 weeks of school.  I was informed of his report card via phone call Monday night and told we needed to be there for a conference on Thursday - nope, no conference requested until now, so I mistakenly assumed he was okay in school.

Okay, go to the conference with boyfriend and from the start I can tell I am really not part of the plan by the seating arrangements.  My son is at the front, they AR on each side of him and I am somewhere towards the back.  Boyfriend takes control and the teacher pretty much turns all conversation to him and son.  I try to intervene on several occasions and sort of get lost by THEIR dialogue.  THEY decide that whenever there is a problem she will call boyfriend and let him know and then refers to both of us as "parental units" and I sort of start seething now.  I try over and over to be heard and ask questions, all the time pretty mmuch brushed to the back burner.

Fast forward a bit - the teacher walk out of the room and I follow her and tell her that I am NOT a "parental unit" but his mother and that all and any conversations about my son's welfare will be had with me and to only call me.  She looked at me like she was baffled

I know that I gave the boyfriend too much rope there (we do all live together) in the first place, but all I expected him to do was pick up the report card, not decide his life and the teacher never called me previously to tell me there was a problem in the first place, so why would I think any different  Please advise me on this because I feel like dirt right now.

TIA!!!

my boyfriend (who is buying the car) wants me to get a Honda - I want a convertible! nm

My Boyfriend and I made our vacation plans last night
My Boyfriend and I made our vacation plans last night, we decided to go to a local beach (well, its 4hrs away) but have decided to make it a romantic one (close your eyes sis) So instead of spending money on gas and cheap hotels on our first vacation plan (minnesota) we decided to spend the money by going somewhere local on nice hotel rooms. One room offers a Romantic package which includes Bubble bath, Champaine (we don't drink, but one day wont hurt us) and a few other stuff to pamper yourself's with. My family and I used to go to this beach/town every summer and I haven't been there in a few years so I am really looking foward to going, plus he has never been there before so it will be really fun showing him where to go and where to eat.

Ok, here is the hard part. We are going to the beach..which we try to go at least once a month (our usual spot is 2hrs away) but this time it's different, we will be spending 2 weeks there and I want to be able to wear a bathing suit (or at least shorts and a tanktop).....so I need to get my butt into shape....This is where all of you come in (if you are willing to help) I need advice, inspiration, tips, reciepes, workout tips, prayers anything that will help me lose weight! Our trip is in August and I want to lose 50lbs I realize that's a short amount of time and a lot of weight so I am making a mini goal of 30lbs.

Just read on line that rapper JAY Z who is Beyonce's boyfriend may have sm
been in an airplane crash in the Smoky Mountains today. Praying this is only a rumor and not true. How sad that would be. I am not a fan of rap music or really even pop music, but I can't seem to find anything on this other than one big named news website. Anyone else hear anything??
I MEANT "BF" (boyfriend), not BP! egads... TYPO-LAND!
.
Maybe the teacher doesn't realize his boyfriend and not dad? I would inform her immediately! sm
Does your boyfriend live there? Have you been together a long time? If not, he is way overstepping his bounds and I would immediately put a stop to it.
Only 10 days til Christmas? I've only bought a gift for my boyfriend so far ...
AND I'M MARRIED!

How cute is that?
Once again, out of the mouths of babes!
these are cute!

I have a brother that would have been good for doing such things.  He use to try to scare my mom too.  one time he had a halloween tape and called her up (mind you he was just upstairs in his bedroom) from his phone and play some pranks. in the beginning she believed these were real callers!

That is just too cute! sm
My little guy barks like mad and runs and takes the toy, then hides it. My big guy likes to tear them up.
cute ! nm

You are just too cute!
Check out my new one!  I don't do very well with pies either, but I sure can bake a birthday cake!  I love the beach!  My husband and I plan to retire there just as soon as we get these children through high school!  So, my daughter decides (she's 7 now), that she is just going to retire with us after high school!  Yeah, right!  No way, Jose, you're going to college girl!  LOL, LOL
No not cute, but certainly not an act
problems.  You can teach your child to have manners, but the original post was in regards to a "school" rule that the child would be taken away from the general population and "punished".  I just think there are much more that we could focus on than a natural process of the bodily functions.  Just say excuse me, and move on.  Whoever is making the big deal about the actual act is "the problem" and not too cute.  I do not agree with you there.  I do not laugh or make a big deal about it, I just move on.  I still don't believe a child that passes gas should be sent to detention unless they are being obnoxious.  I will tell you though that because my child had a "track record", he got blamed for every incident as if no other child in the class was guilty, and it really kind of ticked me off that my son was being accused, when they really had no proof at all.
how cute!!
bet they were darling...little pit puppies in coats.  Mine is black lab/pit mix and she is a rescue, from southern California.  We are now in the Tahoe area and she cannot stand the cold (but loves to play in the snow - go figure).  She needs a coat and mittens and boots but I could never convince her.  Whenever it gets above 55 degrees out, she finds a spot of sun in the backyard and lays out soaking up the rays, probably dreaming of those warm California days gone by.
How cute -
the comedian I saw on Comedy Central who said he found his 6-year-old nephew yelling at his Easter basket.  When asked what he was doing, the boy replied, * I'm giving a shout out to my peeps *
How cute! Thanks! nm

How cute is that?!

Oh my word that is ADORABLE!!  I can never get pictures to work
though--somehow a quotation mark always winds up in there that I don't put
in.  I looked at the html code too and I don't see them, yet when I try it,
some reason they get put in there.  Very frustrating....one last try then I
give up.

How cute is that?
Looks like he has his nails done.  Cute!
Cute :)
I haven't done that, but now I think I will!

Sometimes when my husband calls me from his cell phone I make him talk to the cats and their ears perk up when they hear his voice! Only when he calls from inside his car of course, not in public or anything like that! It amazes me that he even does it. He's a big mush like me with the animals.

LOL
That should be cute
that is how my auto correct kicks in, make cute to acute.
he's cute!!
Oh my gosh he is so sweet! He looks totally comfortable in your house! What an awesome dog! Pet him for me would you?

Jan :)
Cute! Thanks
I love the new picture feature.
Oh how CUTE! nm
xx
Oh, he's too cute!
What a sweetie. Good luck with him. My neighbors have a Yorkie, but not a teacup and he's so spunky and adorable.
How cute.
You'll want to keep her on the lean side anyway to optimize her breathing.

Good for you for adopting her.

Now that is just too cute!
